BLW - what did your LO eat today?

today has and will be
b: porrige with avacado
l: nothing
d: roasted chicken, tomato chunks and pasta twists (sundried tomato chicken)

Dinner that night was the first night he was properly tearing off bit of food and chewing and swallowing (about half of what he bit off), i almost cried! he was sucking away on it and then bit down on it and pulled a big piece of chicken off, chewed it really slowly (it seemed like forever) half fell out his moutht he other half he swallowed. and he did the BIGGEST grin after. :cloud9:

yesterday:
b: nothing
l: offered but refused
d: toast with mashed sweet potato and carrot on it - he ate about half and got bored :dohh:

today:
b: oatmeal - he ate all of it
l: will be mum-mums and cream cheese
d: will be homemade meatballs and linguini pasta

Last night was Japanese for dinner! He sat at the table (we have a portable high chair) and ate sunomono, green bean tempura (wiped/pulled the breading off), and some shredded carrots. I still can't believe he ate sunomono

Breakfast: Nothing
Lunch: Parts of my soup (yam noodles, kale, mushrooms)
Dinner: Chicken, a bun, some coleslaw and egg salad (threw most of it at the dog)

He is cutting a tooth so it was a miracle he ate anything

aliss - My LO loves seaweed!!!! It's his favourite part of maki rolls (vegetarian). I bet your LO would love plain avocado rolls (rice-outside is easier to manage at first). But sushi is a favourite of a few babies on here!! xxx

Today bun had:

B: oatmeal, chunk of banana, few blueberries, dates, 1/2 rice cake with almond butter
S: dried pear, handful dry cheerios
L: rice pasta with tomato sauce, 2 falafel balls with hummus, 1/4 apple, 1/2 dried fruit bar
D: little bit of vegetarian chili eggs, slice of toast with mashed avocado, 1/4 asian pear, 1/2 dried fruit bar

Great thank you! I didn't give him any actual sushi because OH ordered this disgusting thing called a crunch california roll (california roll with peanut sauce and then deep fried). Do you just give him a plain avocado roll (the piece) and let him go at it? I'd love to order one next time.

BLW is great, everyone was staring at a 7 month old eating sunomono, lol

It's fantastic, isn't it? Ronan was around 7 months the first time we went to eat Indian out for lunch. The little old lady who owned the restaurant and was serving us was right chuffed at seeing a wee baby digging into her food with such joy.

I just gave him the whole roll to chew on!!! I was amazed the first time when he just downed the entire thing and wanted more. Bun had no teeth until he was almost a year, so had a harder time with the seaweed on the outside at first, but he would just unroll it, eat all the inside then gum/suck on the seaweed :haha: Now I just give him his own order of avocado sushi! He also really likes oshinko (but he loves pickled stuff). xxx

We had the same experience at a vietnamese place with fresh rolls and tofu balls

hivechild- I bet that made an Indian lady melt!! Indian ladies don't give gerber jars, lol.

sun- interesting, will have to try it. He has top & bottom teeth already so he might be able to dig in quite a bit.

i cant wait! we take LO out for a meal tomorrow with my friend and his mother, shes visiting from florida, its her last day so we're all going for a meal.

what makes it extra cool is we are going to the steakhouse im employed at, so all the staff know me and barry but none have seen him for about a month now so it'll be great to show them Lo's new found lust for solids and blw!

not to be nasty either but one of the girls i work with had her lo 3 days before i had mine, and she TW and they've seen her eat, so im really hoping for some positive feedback on the comparison!

today has been:

B: Shreddies and yoghurt
L: Pasta with tuna and green beans, a prune, half a fruit stick
Sn: Dried pineapple and papaya
S: Roast chicken, avo, toast, grapes

B: Toast and prunes

T: Roast pork, roast potatoes, green beans and peas. Apple and pear crumble, and a yoghurt! Most she's ever eaten! And all of it went too.

Also I'm very proud as she's finally learned to drink water from her doidy cup :)

he shared some of my meal, he had pasta con brocoli, so pasta bow ties with brocoli and ham and tomatos in alfredo sauce....

he loved the brocoli which he always has done, didnt mind the pasta, but LOVED the garlic bread, especially dipped in the sauce.

my workmates got to see him eat and thought it was great, as did my roommates mum who we were out to dinner with. so hopefully converted a lot of people :happydance:

it was agreat first meal out, complete success , happy and relaxed :happydance:
