BLW - what did your LO eat today?

Thumper - can I ask how ur LO gets on with soup? I want to try to give it to my LO but not sure how to go about it IYKWIM??? Lol, she will use a spoon if I pre load it for her but it's only a small baby silicone one. Ideas would great!thanks

Sorry, only just saw this :flower: I tend to go about it a few different ways. Either I make the soup thick so that it sticks to rice cakes or bread when dunked (or just unceremoniously stuck in the bowl with it for him to pull out crouton style), or if it's a broth or thinner soup I put bread in it to absorb the soup. The other thing I do is help him with a spoon (so shoot me BLW police :haha:) His motor skills aren't there yet with regards to pre-loaded spoons and I'm of the opinion that helping him with spoons is a good thing. I know not everyone agrees so we won't start an argument ;) hehe. The other way I haven't yet tried but just came to me as I typed this is to put it in a cup. He drinks well from cups so I think it should work  Worth a go. Baby cuppa soup! :)

PS:
B Porridge with prune juice- yum!
L Beans on toast fingers
D Veggie fahitas with peppers, mushrooms and courgettes then plain soya yoghurt

snacks- ricecakes

B - crumpet (quarter eaten) and orange segments
L - primula sandwich, corn puffs, cherry tomatoes, cucumber (followed by a fruit pot as she's constipated and not BLWing much fruit)
S - biscotti, cheese chunks, crackerbread with butter
D - homemade cod in breadcrumbs, cauli cheese, courgette and new pots, followed by yoghurt

B- Cheese on toast and 2 tangerines
L- Sausages and poached egg
Snack - banana and another tangerine
Dinner - Home made Spicy potato wedges and beans

So glad he is getting his appetite back!

Is she eating more now minkymoo?

Yesterday Maria had:
breakfast - weetabix
lunch - cold leftover roast beef and potatoes
dinner - garlic and herb chicken in a creamy sauce with rice (she munched it all up for a change, loved the rice)

Forgot to give her supper and she was up loads last night so I think supper tonight!

Luis is really off his food at the moment - probably because of his cold.

Yesterday he pretty mucho only ate a piece of melon. Today looks like it could be going the same way. Didn't touch the porridge with stewed pears I made for breakfast, so I offered toast with philidelphia instead and again wasn't interested. Will be trying fish finger and baby corn for lunch when he wakes up from his nap!

We've just started so I can add!!!!

We've had banana porridge, cucumber, apple, pear, bananas and today we had baked potato with sour cream, butter, and cheese and a banana!

I scooped out the inside of the potato and mixed it with the fillings and plopped it on his tray! He had a blast! I'm only doing one meal (lunch), but I'm introducing breakfast tomorrow morning.

Thanks for this. Never thought of doing it with bread, might have to give it a go. Think we will give the cup thing a miss though, as at the moment she loves grabbing it and throwing it across the room :haha:

We are have only just started, then LO got gastroenteritis (caught from my 7 yr old) so we stopped, but have just started again.

So far she just has lunch and dinner as I am always rushed in the mornings and need to make more time! Today she had...

Lunch: Mango and a fromage frais, but she hated the fromage frais so refused to take the spoon from me or pick it up after the first few goes. :haha:

Dinner: her first roast dinner! She loved the roast chicken and the parsnip especially. Tried a yoghurt again, but she's not daft. One taste and she was having nothing to do with the spoon. She did look amazed when I ate it though! :haha:
