Just thought id let everyone know im now another 6 lbs down yippy!!

I had lost 12lbs after i stopped BF :) and now another 6 lbs but still dont know how as im eating like a pig lol

I really think I have hit a motivational brick wall!! Pics went up on facebook from friday night... and I really dont recognise myself!! Im wondering whether my dis-interest in ww is stopping my weight loss!! Wondering whether to swap to slimming world or something alike!!

My birthday is 2 weeks tomorrow and I want to enjoy myself and feel like a birthday girl... not a fat frump who had a baby 3 months ago!!! :cry:

kerry hun are you taking pills for your high blood pressure? i don't want to be nosy but if they are they can quite often affect a person's weight as they slow down all the heart thus resulting in a slower metabolism (sp) and this leading to very slow weight loss or no weight loss. when i was preggers i was on a beta blocker and that was why i was so tired all the time. perhaps this is what it is? just a thought....

perhaps try something new like SW as perhaps you need a change or the support of a group? i am following WW alone and have lost 6.5pds in 2 weeks but i did ponder with joining SW as there is a class just down the road and lots of the members take their kids with them. i decided not to go as i am losing fine on my own.

yeah I am on bp tablets... Im now on ramipril!

I just dont understand how Im on consciously trying so hard but havent had a great loss... like no big weight loss at the start!! You would think after how I ate when pregnant a cut down in calories would make a huge difference!! And not to mention the excercise :(

I think I might try SW... can someone explain it to me??

I fully understand how you feel Kerry. After 2 weeks I'm still at my +1lbs instead of a loss!! I've given up to be honest, or rather, changes tactics. Gonna do what my dad was recommended by a dietisian a while ago. Have normal sized meals with normal foods (cheese and other diary products allowed) and have something to eat every 4 hours. See if that will make a difference.

My DH keeps telling me that things are different for me because I have IBS. He probably has a point, I already have a very slow metabolism. On top of that I have a slow heart beat and am on anticoagulants, which might make a difference too.

If you feel the change from WW to SW might make you a bit more motivated again, go for it!! But don't expect miracles hon, they're both just support groups and it isn't gonna change how your body reacts. :hugs:

if you want to do sw then i can help you...
if you put your going to lorraines group thur at 7pm...join the website online and the password is skipping....have a amooch on there....
however, the basics are...
you have a red day and a green day....red is meat and green pasta and potatoes...
each day you choose 2 things from section a and 2 things from section b...a is cheese and milk basically, (250 ml semi skimmed) and 28g of cheddar or 6 extra light laughing cow or 48g of mozarella..there are more though, b is cereals, potatoes (on a red day) (meat on a green day), bread and other things....too many to list
on a red day eat as much lean meat as you like, bacon, steak, cicken, tuna, fish, mincemeat, but sosages are sins, (tesco butchers choice half fat sosages are only half a sin each though) all vegetables are free and all fruit are free so you can eat as much as you like on both green and red days, on a green day you can have jacket potatoes, sin free chips (done by part booiling them, chipping them, putting them in the over covered with fry lite spray...(nice with eggs on top) rice, pasta, 99% fat free super noodles boiled potatoes, mash....all fruit and veg are free again...also muller light yoghurts are free so you can as many as you like in a day...

you are allowed 10-15 sins per day....and they advise yo have them at first as when yo have lost a bit of weight and it starts to slow down yo can decrease your sins to speed it up again but if you havent had your sins then you cant do this...

example of sins....curly wurly 6 sins, chicke chow mein from shippy 8 sins, milkshake from mcdonalds 30 sins, meat feast pizze from pizza hut 160 sins, rice pudding 200g 8 sins, ww chocolate mousse thingy 8 sins,
it really is a good diet and you are literally allowed to eat none stop if you wish, everyone i see at the meeting in their first week say,.,..,theres no way i can have lost weight ive eaten so much but they all do my 2 friends came with me last week so mon was their first weigh in...one lost 5.5 one lost 6.5!!!

if you think you want to try it then go for it its half price membership at the min go on line and have a good look through they do a 7 day eating plan you could follow to give it a try? i hope ive explained it well enough, it seems really complicated but when youve read it its really not

I dont agree that they are both just support groups... both diets are a way of life!! SW and WW are completely different diets but they both work!!

I joined up to slimming world and it sounds so easy and definetly something I need to do!!

I think for me... cos Ive tried ww so many times over the years I know it like the back of my hand and I cheat way to many times... and thats often because I will have something of a high point value then be like "oh well start again tomorrow"!!

I think something like SW is what my body needs :yipee:

I was contemplating doing cambridge again but the idea of just eating shakes again really wasnt appealing and Im very excited about starting this diet tomorrow!!
This is sooooo what I needed!! I cant wait to be weighed next week lol!!

I need to change my ticker again to what I weighed this evening at the meeting.... (although sometimes your weight can vary 4 pounds between morning and evening!! So might just knock off a pound!!

your gonna do really well i just know it....i go on a mon and you go on a tue...also if we loose 2lb each week up til xmas ....wel have lost a stone as there is 7 weeks...come on we can do it!!!

I loved SW Kerry - I got down to my lowest weight EVER on it. I'm definately gonna rejoin ASAP.

Update on me:

I have stopped losing weight by doing nothing so I need to start actually watching waht I eat now. Hebe's Basptism is in 7 weeks - the sunday before Xmas - so I want to lsoe as much as poss before buying something to wear.

I have been doing fine, my problem time is in the evening I have a really sweet craving and so far I have managed to ignor it but it is tough and just worried about having a weak night. What are you suggestions ladies for these moments of weakness? I know I'm not hungry as it is usually just after my dinner.
 
right ladies im bk and defo mean buisness this time !! shud of stuck to it last time cos av put MORE weight on !! plus crimbos cuming all that yummy...fattening food AAHH cant put no more on !
so ive got my claire sweeny dvd out ready 4 monday (everything as 2start on mondays...right?) but ive cut down big time this wk,i arent even puttin sugar in my tea as from yday!!
any tips for healthy snacks ladies? will get ticker sorted so i can see me own progress :)

I dont like 'boring' fruit - you know, apples, banana etc. so I have boxes with melon, mango, pineapple ready to go. Add low fat Crème fraîche to feel like youre being indulgent!!! x
 
toffee mullerlight yoghurt is nice, v sweet, even a mini size curly wurly as they are v small only 3 sins on sw...baked apple with candarel?
