Well, I guess its time to move out of pregnancy buddies forum... so where the bonfire babies at? Hope to get some general/ parenting chatter going, all welcome. Bonfire babies were born June-July 2010 but all welcome! Especially Beadette, our favourite aunty and mummy to be!! And GEMMA!!

Dylan is 18wks +1day and we are loving every minute of it!! even the crying!! as that frown quickly turns upside down! He is a bit of a boob monster at the minute, I think he's going through a growth spurt at the minute, looking forward to getting him weighed in a couple weeks time, but I hope he doesn't grow as quickly as he has been as he is now in 6-9 clothes, but that is okay as I'm currently in america on a shopping spree and I've bot him a whole new wardrobe!!

Lots of love to mums and babies from Neen and Baby Bead Bump x

o my, Dylan can sit on my lap unaided!! He deffo wobbles but he can support himself!! I'm so excited and sad at the same time since he's getting big so fast but I'm so proud of him on the other hand... plus his coo'ing is getting amazing! he's really copying my sounds now... so excited!! just wanted to share.... ;)

Yay we have a new home!!! Hehehe. Sounds like you are having sooooo much fun in America Liz!!! So jealous hehe. How much does Dylan weigh now??
I had Macue weighed last Thursday and she was 12lb!! I couldn't believe it! She's finally gone into 0-3 clothes although there still abit big she's just too long for her newborn clothes now! Lol. Bad things are that her reflux isn't getting any better at all and going back to the docs yet again on Wednesday to see if they will finally help!!! Also my poor little Moo is teething and she's struggling sooooo bad with it! She's been sleeping through the night till the last couple where the pain of her teeth have woke her up! She has her 2nd lot of injections this week aswell booooo lol.
How are you Beadette? How's the pregnancy treating you?
How is everyone else and babes doing???
Love me and Macie Moo xxxxxxx

Well hello there!

Blimey, who would have thought we'd be in parenting?!?! Neen, it's gona be your turn here soon! That journal will be moved again! Also, for some reason my notifications to your new journal don't seem to have worked, I'll go and sort that out in a minute!

Well ladies, Ruby is fab, amazing, just love her to bits! She can sit up un aided now, in fact Lori I saw your photos of Grace in her bumbo & it reminded me that my sister gave me one which I've never used so I got that out today! Currently the jury is out on whether it is a hit or not!

I seem to have been blessed with the most chilled out baby in the world, she has to be so, so tired before she ever cries, you rarely hear a peep from her!

The last time I got her weighed they measured her too & she said she rarely ever meets a baby that doesn't scream!

She is sleeping much better with usually only wake up a night around 3 or 4am, she takes 4 Oz so I know it is for hunger & not habit, for now!

She is entirely formula fed now & there hasn't been any change really, she is still very constipated though & I had hoped it might sort her out but no such luck. She goes every couple of days and when she does I can see it really hurts her. Any ideas?

She still doesn't eat a lot, we are on a 3 hour feeding schedule and she takes up to 4oz each time. Although usually at her 10am and 1pm feeds she seems to only take 2oz!

She weighed 12lb 5oz at 12 weeks & 5 days and is still on the 50th percentile so growing nice and steady!

Liz- lovely to have you home! Sorry your mum was not a little more 'hands on!' it sounds like my mother in law! How was your flight back etc? I hope as easy as the way out.

Lori - I hope you & Grace are well, she looks so edible in your new facebook photos!

Donna - how are you my lovely? Hows gorgeous little Deej? He has got SUCH a cute little face!!! I hope you're getting a bit more sleep ;) when you wished us luck the other night we got an all nighter!!

Chelsie- glad to hear Macie is good, I hope her teething isn't too bad.

Well I must report that FINALLY after 28 days, yes that's right 28 days my period stopped, obviously I was then on the 7 day break in between pill packets so I had about 48 hours off before it started again but it was my normal 3-4 day quite light period and I started my pill again yesterday and all seems back to normal! Thank god!

Well I think that's all from me for now, lots of love & big kisses to all xxxxx

Hi girls,

Chelsie - I'm doing really well thank you. Apart from having bad nausea each day which has not eased up yet I'm grinning like a cheshire cat!

Hi Ladies and thanks to Liz for our new home. What does DRMDG mean though? I am kind of scared to ask, incase its plainly obvious and I am just not getting it lol - can I still blame baby brain 11 weeks on haha???

Well, we took Dawson to the swimming baths today, first time! He was great, although it was a bit cold brrrrrrrrr. Going to make it a weekly event now since he was so good.
My other kids are off school this week as is hubby so, its been nice to have some family time.

I spent nearly 3 hrs at the well woman drop-in clinic on Monday as I was checking the threads and was sure my IUD had moved and I was right, it was sitting outside my cervix (!!!!!) and I am now not only on prophylactic antibiotics for possible infection but also coil -less as there was no doctor there on Monday to insert another !!!! God knows when it moved aswell!!! It was bloody painful going in last time, so I am really dreading having it done again!!!!!! AND means another morning spent sitting in the clinic on Monday too grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr -or waiting on an appt in 3 or 4 weeks or going back to my GP (NO too sore last time boohoo).Hoping that breast feeding will have been ample contraception wise, sure it is as no return of AF lol but omg imagine!!!!!!

Liz -sounds like your wee holiday to the US was fab, lots of shopping and Dyls getting spoiled. Must be kind of sad coming back to the UK though and saying goodbye to loved ones again. Is your hubby home now?
Chelsie -hope macie is okay with her gums hun, and that you are feeling better too - Deej has just started to really chew on his thumb and loves having his gums rubbed lol so its starting here too. Hope his first tooth doesn't sprout too soon -dont fancy the breastfeeding with teeth lol. Anymore teething babies yet?

Nat, glad to hear Ruby is sleeping well, we have had a few really good nights and a few not so good but on the whole better. Dave being off this week is nice - I managed to get an hours snoozing on the sofa on Monday whilst he took Deej and our dog Thea out for a walk (after a particular bad night and early rise from Dawson).

Loving all the pics on FB, nice to see Grace on there now too Lori. Aren't all our little babies getting so big and so beautiful (biased sorry I know lol)

Gemma not long now hun, bet your excited and kind of fed up now too, so soon you'll have your lil princess in your arms -I am so looking forward to seeing her.
Nina -wow a peach now, and second tri, I cannot express how delighted I am for you and how much I am looking forward to following your pregnancy (although scary thought is that when your baby is due, I'll be going back to work and I am dreading the thought of it, really not wanting to leave my gorgeous little man)

Night night ladies Love to all mummies babies and bumps -I am off to bed now as I am knackered zzzz xxx

Don't worry Donna, I have no idea what DRMDG means either!

AHh lucky Dawson going swimming! I still haven't taken Roo, I might see if hubby fancies it on Sunday morning, I think she would love it!

Oh my god you poor thing with your IUD, and I don't blame you for being worried about having another one put in! Fingers crossed it is all sorted soon.

So what should I look out for when it comes to teething? Roo has certainly taken to putting things in her mouth the last couple of days, and giving them a good chew but nothing else seems different? I think she might just be exploring know she knows her hands are her hands!

She slept through again last night which is sooooooooooooo nice! I woke at 4 for a wee and I think I slightly disturbed her but I popped the dummy back in and she went off again. She only took 3oz when she woke this morning so at least I know she wasn't starving hungry in the night!

Well I am very tired after a visit to work this morning to email some clients and then had a friend over for a cuppa so might grab a snooze while I can! xxx

ahhh its obvious girls!! its all the bonfire babies initials xxx

you sillies!!! DRMDG = Dylan, Ruby, Macie, Dawson, Grace!!

xxxx

haha I see it now!

Donna, we shall blame the baby brains!

I had to go back in to neen's journal and ask again and now my notifications are working, lovely to have you back Mrs xxx

OMG how did we not realise that??? Haha. Glad I'm not the only one that didn't know what it ment hehe. Trust me Nat you will know when it starts and when it does door you I strongly recommend bonjela teething gel lol. Well Macie's injections were cancelled this week so got to wait another 2 weeks as she has her BCG next week!!!
And the docs have still done nothing about reflux so my mum went out and got her some infant gaviscon so fingers crossed that starts to work when she brings it up tomorrow.
Love to all xxxx

Ha ha! You lot are so daft! Don't worry Liz, I knew exactly what it stood for! LOL x

Lol -definitely baby brain then haha, since all us mummies were too dense to get it and our lovely mummy-to-be's both got it haha. AND its so obvious lol!!!
Sorry Liz -feel like a right div now haha... and Gemma and Neen -your baby brain time will be here real soon haha :)

Nat, my previous experience with teething has been red cheeks, lots of drool, chewing on everything that can be put in the mouth (and things that shouldn't lol) but can also have a bit of a raised temperature, nappy rash too. So far Deej is only chew chew chewing on everything, manically lol -always has been a finger sucker but its a different type of thing when its his gums bothering him. If he's hungry and he gets my finger in his mouth he sucks madly whereas when his gums hurt he is quite happy to lie back and get his gums rubbed with a satisfied look on his face ;-).

Chelsie -hope the gaviscon works, I tried it as Deej is always possetting and my GP was never totally convinced about Deej having colic, thought it sounded like either reflux or colic. But he always managed to spit it all out so we gave up and the infacol seemed to help a bit anyway. Fingers crossed he has been much better the past few days so I am hoping we are getting past that stage!

We were s'posed to be going out tonight, and my DD babysitting but now the time has come around I really dont want to lol -I had a bad night last night with Deej up several times , am really tired, we dont have much money with maternity pay and Xmas pending and other than that I dont want to leave him! How sad is that? lol - DD has taken him out for a walk the past few hours and I miss him haha. Maybe next month!! Shame as Loren is desperate to babysit.

Spk later ladies -going to go and chillax for a while until Deej is back, love to all xxx

well I'm back but don't have too long for a post... I was worried last night with the jet lag with dylan coming back over, but he slept 730 to 1030 then 11 to 9am so think he's easily back on british time! our flight back was good, had to buy extra baggage allowance, got 2 bags free and then I couldn't fit all our stuff in them!! oops!! I didn't think i bought THAT much but turns out I did, we have clothes for dylan now til about 2!! hehe I just couldn't resist all the bargains at carters & gap outlets especially! O and the plane ride back was ok, dylan slept the majority of it, and no crying, but he pooped like a machine!!! 2x on the first flight, 2x in the airport, 3x on the longer flight!!! that is 7 poops in less than 24 hours!! and he's gone down tonight at like 730 so hoping for a good nights sleep. we're going to a NCT nearly new sale in the morning... and then maybe a baby massage/coffee morning with the nicu/scbu parents group thing... well I spoke too soon, dylan just woke up... crying 'muuuuuuum' on the baby monitor and dh is like, he's calling for you.... it was just crying, but his crying does sound like he's saying mum!! hehe.... xxx

oh muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum - so cute lol .My nephew always sounded like he was crying mum too, and still does now at age 1 but its definitely mum now.

Sounds like you had a fab time Liz and well done on all the baby clothes shopping, I have up to 9-12months clothing here so Santa will be bringing lots of 12-18 month stuff I reckon lol.

How are you all going with Christmas shopping then? So far I have bought Deej a wotwot, an electronic puzzle ball, a push-a-long activity toy, some books (quiet nice stories for bedtime reading and noisy interactive ones) some wooden puzzles, some rattles n teethers and some wooden blocks so considering his young age I think the rest of his Xmas prezzies will be clothing, pyjamas and the like. Espec since I have three older ones to buy for and 12 niece/nephews and then the grans/gramps/aunts / uncles etc Expensive time of year !! but I LOVE it, love the tree decorating, putting up loads of decorations, hanging up the stockings etc. LOVE LOVE it!
My two elder boys are both wanting new BMX's and Lou wants a new phone -will need to be getting them this month I reckon.

Well, off to get ready for going out, taking Conor to his grampas for going to the Rangers FC footie match and taking Ben n Deej to a nearby petting zoo/ aquarium -hope it stays dry!! Deej is just now sitting on his daddy's knee watching Mickey Mouse on the Disney channel -he loves it!

Have a good weekend everyone - ooh Liz hope you get some bargains at your nearly new sale; I keep meaning to check when there is one of them on here and keep forgetting! D'oh! There is s'posed to be great bargains!

xxxx

Donna - you are so cute how you change your siggy depending on what my siggy says beany is the size of! So sweet! xx

so didn't make it out of the house yet... hehe, dylan was up til 11pm last night, think I spoke too early about jet lag, but we all slept til 10am and then I woke up and dylan was still asleep so I woke him up, didn't want to ruin his schedule too much!! so we didn't go to nearly new but then I figured I didn't really need anything anyways and it just would have been spending more money!! (which I just spent too much of... oops!)

I was just thinking about christmas and wondering what everyone else was doing... I've got dylan a music table thing from leapfrog that I got in an asda sale but thats the only thing we've held back from giving to him and only cause its for 6+ months and is a great 'big' gift to have under tree. I don't plan on spending too much for christmas, especially with just dylan as he wont realize whats going on, just a few things to unwrap, couple from santa, couple from us and then whatever family sends us. I always could wrap up some of his new clothes!!

Nat- sorry to hear AF lasted soooo long!! not looking forward to that!! I actually even did a test while at my mums as just wanted to be sure!! bfn so no worries here!!

anyone else lurking in wtt? we can't decide when to have lo#2, keep going back and forth between sooner and later...

donna- sorry to hear about the coil! hope u get it sorted soon and that there are no suprises in store for you anytime soon!

well yay for lazy saturdays... but really need to get some cleaning done now! xxxxxxx
