It gets better. My family was soooo upset with me. They didn't like my OH at all. But as time went on, they began to accept my pregnancy. I think at first it's such a huge shock and people look at it like it's a mistake, then with time, they start looking at it like an actual baby. My family is so supportive of us now (they even like my OH too!) and no one ever gives me crap about having a baby. I do get the occasional comment like "Let's not have anymore now" or "Remember to use birth control every time!", which gets annoying but at least they aren't holding anything over my head.

My mum cried a lot and was pretty pissed off and refused to talk about it until I was 20 weeks. My step dad was secretly excited he didn't want earache from my mum so said nothing. My dad said I was stupid, me and FOB wouldn't last etc. but his opinion has always been irreverent to me, as I can go 3-5 years without seeing him

My OH's mum was upset as I was supposed to go to uni, we were too young etc.
His dad was pretty excited.

All of them adore my son and all came round and by my 21 week scan they were all supportive and now he's 2 they are all doted on him

They will come around and the reactions weren't too bad, I have heard some really awful reactions but most come around soon enough.
