Quick question..... Just starting to pack my hospital bag and sort things for myself for after birth...what breast pads do you recommend? With my daughter I used Johnson but I can't remember what they were like?? Any other recommendations?

I used Johnson with dd.

This time I've just bought some avent nipple shells. They look ridiculous lol, but they collect milk away from the nipple & kept my nipple shape when I was engorged. I've been really impressed with them. Only had them a couple of days though :)

Eta - they were expensive (£13) but reusable & washable so no need to keep buying breast pads :)

I've tried a few and all have been useless (bunching up inside my bra, not staying in place) except for the Lansinoh nursing pads. They are awesome! There is adhesdive in two spots so they stay in place and, while they may be a little more expensive, are totally worth it.

Lansinoh definitely! I've tried a few as they don't do lansinoh in the supermarkets but in the end I just made the trip to boots everytime because they sooooo much better:flower:

Most definitely Lansinoh....also would highly recommend their nipple cream as well!

Amazon is a good place to get both although I have found the pads in my local Sainsburys which is handy!

Edit to add - don't forget maternity pads and I found big granny knickers really useful. They keep hold of the pads a lot better than your average knicker!

I've been given a load of tommee tippee ones and they are useless!

They bunch up and never stay in place, I can't wait to use them up so I can get some decent ones

Thanks everyone
I will have a look at the ones you suggested. X

I prefer asdas own brand. They have little sticky bits on the back too (I think most do)

Best advise only buy one pack incase you don't like them. Also you can get samples sometimes which is great.

After going through loads of breast pads and disliking most of them, I got some washable ones from boots and I love them, wish I'd had them from the start.
