breastfed babies result in better behaved children?

I don't drink cows milk and never have and I was breastfeed but all o said was the thought of so e o ecejse feeding my child makes me feel sick just the same way as him having his nappy changed or going nursery does

Theoretically, I would choose the wet nurse option if I couldn't BF my baby myself, as I know that the breastmilk has a lot of great benefits.
But I have to admit that I think I would have to work hard on accepting the substitute feeder, emotionally. It's such an intimate thing for me. I think I would feel jealous and emotional in a way that I wouldn't if I chose the FF option.
I wonder if I would feel that way if wet nursing was a more common practise here?

God help ypu when he goes to school :hugs:

The FF is poison really bugs me as well. :nope: Its not, no one has said that on this thread and I'll add that to the list of stereotypes that need to die a firey death (as someone put earlier) :haha:

Lol sarahaka I would be tempted to micro-manage the wetnurse - I would want to control her diet, exercise, relaxation, emotional wellbeing lol

Kalah- yeah you could have it on cereal and not have to add sugar

That just reminded me of a silly thought I had when I first hear of extended breast feeding. I imagined a child about 7 years old at the table for breakfast and me squeezing boob milk into a bowl for cereal!!

 perish the thought - but imagine how much money you would save instead of buying milk lol

B&B is the most pro-FF forum I know of.

You are obviously not looking in the right part of the forum then. For those 2 months I was struggling and ready to give up I DEPENDED on the the ladies here in the BF forum for support as well and found them to be an amazing help for me.

just because we are pro-ff doesnt mean we're not pro-bf too ;)

I think because its mainly UK women on here FF is more accepted as the norm than other countries, the majority of us dont see formula as a huge deal. Yes breast is best but formula is a good alternative, there if we want it. We are well aware of the benefits of breastfeeding but formula isnt harmful.

And just as blah has said just because we are pro ff it certainly doesnt mean we arnt pro bf if its right for you and your situation.

I FF this baby but i fully intend on trying BF with the next baby.

I haven't read this whole thread but will tell you what my kids pediatrician said when we spoke about this ( we live in arizona but he listens to BBC radio) "It's true for 3 out of 4 of your children"

im pro feeding ur baby no matter how its done

Yes, I too am all for feeding babies!!
As long no one does like that women who fed her children semi-skimmed cows milk from birth :dohh:

i didnt hear about that, well yes i dont agree with that lol!
but on a american tv show i was watching it had teen mums having dna tests done. but this girl was like my baby has to drink our milk because we cant afford his....

i was like wtf either bf or go without milk urself and buy ur baby formula.

Oh my god that is awful! You would really think more poor families would choose BF, but I guess when it's a single mother who has to work it's not that simple. Definitely would skip getting regular milk to get formula though!

As for the semi-skimmed milk think there was a thread on here about it a while ago: https://www.babyandbump.com/baby-club/494661-so-shocked.html
It is shocking!

You've misunderstood what I meant, I actually spend a lot of time in the bf section, I just feel overall the forum sees a lot more ff's than others I've been on.

it annoyed me when i found out my mum gave zane semi skimmed and hes 2!
as i couldnt bf zane i would of done anything and gone without anything to make sure he was fed.

ive mentioned before that the care in my hospital was awful, where i got no support and there was also a bottlefeeding mother who was denied milk for her baby as they couldnt get the milk at that point. it was awful

I always give amelie semi and skimmed milk!
