So I have been diagnosed with gallstones and on Sunday I had to take strong antibiotics which they said I had to take but I couldn't breastfeed on. So I stopped breastfeeding and had to put her straight onto bottles there and then, anyway the next day they told me I didn't need to breastfeed and that I could start again 5 days later so that's tomorrow now. But my milks just completely gone :( I've been expressing but each day I'm getting less and less, does anyone know If my body will learn to keep supplies up again? I really don't want to give up :( I don't know wether I should start again or not?! Thanks ladies xxxx

:hugs: Gallstones are NOT fun. I had to have my gallbladder taken out about 12 years ago. The pain from those darn things suck!

All I know is to persevere and keep pumping until you can put lil one on to bf. Maybe try pumping while sitting next to your baby. Reach over and grab her lil foot or hand, snuggle her, think milk-flowing thoughts, maybe that will allow you to have more letdowns so that you can produce more.
Also, are you compressing your boob while you pump? That always allows me get out more with a pump.
:flower: Good Luck. Hopefully once you get LO latched on, things will go back to normal for you.

Get your baby on the boob lots - your boobs will soon catch on they are needed again! Women can relactate months after they stopped feeding, so 5 days shouldn't be a problem xxx
