Hi all,

How often are/were your LO's feeding at this stage??

Harry is 5 weeks old and is feeding every 2 hours, day and night. He will occasionally go 3 hours from 00:00 - 03:00 or if we are out and hes in the pram he will sometimes go 3 hours but the majority of the time its 2 hours.
He is gaining plenty of weight ( hes 10lb now!!!!) so i know he is getting enough!

What age can you expect them to start going longer between feeds?

Thanks

I fed Brennan more often than that at 5 weeks. It wasn't untill I guess about 10-11 weeks that I noticed he could go for a few hours between feeds.

The gaps vary for us...

7/8am - 9/9.30am - 11am - 12.30pm - 3/4pm - 5/6pm - 7/8 pm - 9/10pm

Some days she feeds more, drops feeds, etc etc. She often goes lomger when we are out. :)

jack is roughly every 3-4 hours during the day and i dont feed him at night any more x

Amelia is 18wks and still feeds every 2 to 2 1/2 hours during the day. Night times vary but she is getting better usually every 5/6hours. Last night she managed 7hours!!

Kaitlyn now feeds 2-3 hours during the day and two - three small feeds at night, but we co-sleep so it is alot easier on both of us.

At 5 weeks about that to be honest! Now a bit longer and at night he can go 7 hours. They need tobe over 11lbs before they can go any longer than 2 or 3 hours.
