breastfeeding is so messy!

DS is about 2 weeks old. When he nurses milk gets everywhere- runs down his mouth. Not to mention the other boob leaks at the same time. By the time we are done I'm drenched and so is he!

i use a muslin cloth and tuck it under my boob so my bra dosnt get soaked and then i can use the other end of the cloth to mop up any milk tht lo spits out lol x

This problem gets progressively better, with it almost disappearing at 3 months lol

I couldn't manage without disposable breast pads and Muslin cloths! My LO often lets go of my breast mid-letdown when he can't really be bothered, which just adds to the mess! So whenever I feed I always make sure a muslin is handy!!

Yep muslin cloths and breast pads are your friend!

Yup we get through so many muslins. You need to tuck if over the bra and under the boob. Also make sure you get good breast pads for the boob you aren't using.

Although in the early days I used a nappy as no breast pads were enough and we had some newborn nappies we were given that I didn't like on DD.

i've got a breast shell i pop inside my bra on the breast i'm not feeding from - i can collect up to 20mls a time!

Hehe I remember that! It'll pass soon enough! Probably buy 3months I will occasionally get a leak leaknow but it won't be a big one and only normally if I've not fed Isabella for a while x

This happens me too. I have to wrap myself in a towel as the muslin cloth isnt enough. I think i will never manage this if i want to go out with him!

LOL - I don't miss theses days, and to think I'll be right back there in 8 or so months makes me kind of sad! LOL... Anyways, I promises it does get better.
