Anyone want to have one? I really want to lose the weight. But at a slow, slow rate. I could really use the encouragement.

I need to lose 15 pounds to get to pre-pregnancy weight and another 10 to get to a healthy BMI---so 25 pounds total.

Here is a pic of me now...and one of me at my goal weight.

My plan to lose weight is to do more walking,my toning exercises, cut out all sugary drinks and just drink water, and no more going through the drive-through.

I was just thinking today that i really need to lose weight!! I think about 25 lbs too to get rid of pregnancy weight and also get a healthy BMI. Maybe we could do it together??

The weight should drop off you by doing that. :) I found cutting portion sizes, cutting out snacking altogether and drinking lots of water helped me loads. My milk production hasn't been affected at all by me slimming, in fact I'm re-lactating atm and doing fine.

I also exercise 3-4x a week at my gym. I do work out hard, but the only thing you need to worry about in regards to exercising is not to BF within 2 hours of exercising due to the build up of lactic acid in your bloodstream.

Also, make sure you let your doctor know if its your first time trying to lose weight post natal. :)

Hiya girls! i need to lose loads of weight :( i went a bit OTT on the snacking during pregnancy
i need to lose 60lbs :(

Don't worry hun, you can do it. :) I'm trying to lose 55lbs atm.

:) so can you

at first i thought the breastfeeding would make the pounds drop of then i saw that id GAINED 4lbs, so ive started weight watchers with added breastfeeding points (started today) :)

Ohh weight watchers is a good idea!! Do u have to go to the meetings tho or do u just do it urself??

I just looked on the website and it costs loads!! Is there a way to find out how to do it withut paying a fortune!!!

I would join www.livestrong.com It has helped me loads, and is totally free to use.

The Daily Plate is where you track what you eat, and it breaks it down for you and the Dares are groups you can join the get support.

Do you guys want to update any loss in this thread? I would say weekly. But looking at my weightloss so far (3 1/2 pounds in 2 1/2 months)---there might not be anything to update.

i think I need to loose about 4 stone to be just called over weight accoridnt to my doc :( I just got back in to size 14 again but i have t his flabby belly left from pregnancy and eating like a horse since I gave up smoking before William was born. I have sort of a handle on it now but I must stop or I will be to fat too do anythig :(

it really depresses me. i dont have the time or energy with looking after a baby to excercise. I wish I did. My back always hurts frm an injury which went away during pregnancy. GRRRR! I want to be skinny again, not as skinny as I was a few years ago but maybe 10stone. Long as I can do up my coat and get my trousers to sit above my flappy bit.

I need to lose about 3-4 stone so Im up for a support group type thing. Duno where to start though! :(

Awww...your daughter was born only one day after my daughter. Just start by changing one thing. My main thing will be to just drink water. I can't imagine me restricting too many calories right now because my appetite is voracious.=-)

It is hard to excersise with injuries. Hey its hard without any injuries too.=-) I'm mainly going to increase my walking with my daughter, now that the weather is nicer.

Yeh Ive been trying to drink more water, but always forget! That and cutting out bread as it just makes me soooo bloated. Aaw another Feb baby! Can you believe how quick its gone? Our babies are 3 and a half months old already!!

Looks like we all got feb babies!! :D

Dragonfly - I have trouble with my back as well and i would suggest pilates if that ur sort of thing, its made mine alot beter and its gentle toning excercise at the same time.

Rafwife - On livestrong what fitness level should i choose? I walk quite a bit with the buggy but i wouldnt really call it moderate but i do more then just sitting - looking after LO and breastfeeding must use some calories!!

I can't remember what the options are. I seem to remember choosing the second to last one? If you list the options I'll remember :)
