As I posted in the other thread, I have not been breastfeeding my son for the past few days , as I have a driving class to go to (6 hour class) and I wanted to make sure that he was going to take the bottle on that day. Even though I have not been feeding him, I have been trying my best to express my milk as many times a day as I could (pumping does nothing for me compared to expressing it on my own).

I have noticed now that one breast is not filling up as much anymore :hissy: (which is expected) but the change between last night and today is huge. Before today, my breasts were getting so full and hard and I was able to express so much and now, they feel normal and I'm lucky to get even 3oz when I express. I'm going to put him back on the boob starting tomorrow,:wohoo:and give him one bottle a day (before bed) so that he will still be able to take it when I go for my class.

I really love breastfeeding my baby, and if it weren't for this class and the possibility of losing everything I paid for it, I would have never stopped to begin with.

So, I guess the question is... How can I get my boobs back to the way they were? Will the milk come in more when I start feeding him again? Or is it bye-bye to booby juice:cry:???

Any recommendations will be put to the test. I want to try to get my milk up to the point where I can have a few bottles stored up for that day and enough to satisfy my chunky monkey! :) Thanks ladies!!

Try to express as much as you can when you cannot breastfeed. Your milk supply should start increasing.

Thats what I have been doing in hopes that I will wake up tonight with some full boobs!!! You should see my chest right now.. I look so lopsided!!! One full and one just hanging out on the side!

Aww! Not fun sometimes, is it?

Good luck hon!

Get him back on the breast as often as he needs, your supply will pick up again.

Expressing helps obviously but if you can try and feed baby as often as possible and for as long as possible then your milk will start to increase again as Marley said:hugs:Good luck

Well, I started BFing again last night and right now my nipples are feeling sore :( its like I'm starting all over again... So far, both breasts have not filled up, but I've been keeping him on the breast as much as I can.. It seems like he's not getting enough from me anymore. I'm lucky if I even get a burp.. but I'm determined... Thanks ladies :)

It may seem like that but the more you feed him, the more your body will start to produce....I promise sweetie:hugs::hug:

Give it a few days and you'll be moaning that your boobies are like melons all over again:rofl:

I don't think it dries up that fast, because you stop for a day or so.

Your boobs will leak automatically, because your hormones are working for your baby, constantly producing milk.

How's the breast-feeding going for you now?

Thanks for asking, Mello! It's going very well actually. Now they're back to the point where they were before I stopped breastfeeding to begin with. Plenty of milk, and no need for formula..

And I went to the class yesterday and he took the bottle from daddy with no problem! :happydance: I guess I was just worrying for no reason, and in the end, everything worked out just how it was intended to... Thanks again!
