Breech baby...what happens if I go into labour before c section!?

Hey everyone,

So I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and baby is still breech. I'm scheduled to see the consultant next week when hopefully I will get my c section date

Now i'm worried about what will happen if I go into labour before then? The midwife said they will make the c section as close as possible to my due date. I lose bits of my mucus plug every day and have done for 4 weeks now, have constant braxton hicks and just feel like baby isn't that far away.

Will it be an emergency c section were I will be put to sleep? Really, really would hate to be put to sleep and miss the birth of my baby

it shouldn't be an emergency. Most babies take hours of being in labor to actually come. They can get you into the operating room and with a spinal, have the baby, and back to recovery in less than an hour. If you start to have contractions just don't waste any time and head to the hospital so they can have the on call Dr. do your delivery.

Hi. This happened to me in my last pg. I went into labour with my breech baby before my c section date and mw sent me straight to.hospital for c section. I had a spinal and was awake. Good luck x

im feeling the same.. worried to go into labour before the section. consultant re-assured me tho, and said just come straight in and they will do the rest xx

I went into labour the night before my planned csection, was able to get to hospital (have a bit of gas & air ) whist waiting for the theatre to become available Was awake & all was great

Im like u got my date 10th jan and im loosing mucus plug too. Need to make it 11 days. Got my legs crossed. Its my 3rd tho so ive got more chance of it happening quicker. Im just keeping eye on colour of the mucus as long as its not pink/brown or red it shud b fine. X
