I guess we needed a new home now that we're both finally pregnant!!! I'm so happy we waited all this time then got to be pregnant together! I just knew this was your month!

I definitely have a noticeable bump, even first thing in the morning before I'm bloated. I got my first bella-band in today, because I can't button a single pair of pants I own!! Good, because I like the idea of a baby bump, BAD because I have gained 16 pounds in 6 weeks since my BFP.

I really need to give you a nice long update but I'm just too tired to type anything length tonight!

I'm so happy for you and I am so happy we are bump buddies!! Congratulations!!!! :hugs:

Aww it's lovely you have a bump already! :happydance: I think I might just wear leggings in a few weeks because I don't like jeans cutting in!

I am doing another test early tomorrow morning because I want to see a darker line. I'm terrified of getting a BFN though! :nope:

I phoned to make a doctors appointment but they can't see me until Monday 16th because they are booked up. :growlmad: I want my hCG levels done!

OH and I have both decided not to tell anyone until 12 weeks to be on the safe side. Although I'm sure we'll probably change our minds! I think I'll feel happier once a doctor has confirmed that I'm pregnant with a blood test, I'll also feel happier when I have passed 16dpo. I'm only 12dpo today! So very early days.

I'm so happy we are bump buddies after all this time! :hugs: I hope your tiredness subsides soon, I probably have all this to come! xx

I did another test this morning and got another BFP! It's still light but definitely darker than before. Might upload a pic tomorrow.

Can't believe I have to wait until a week on Monday for my blood test, although at least it will give the hCG levels time to go up!

Yay for darker BFPs!! Mine didn't get darker than the control line until after my period was missed!

It is really frustrating that your doc's office can't get you in sooner! It is definitely soothing to get that phone call saying yes, you're pregnant! :happydance:

I am finally becoming more and more like my old self, slowly! I am in my 11th week and still feeling some nausea, but it is so much better! The fatigue is definitely still hanging around but it is getting somewhat lighter... My breasts ARE GIGANTIC. I am spilling out of my normal C cup, and I'm going to have to go bra shopping- for a D cup!!! I can't believe it- I've always been a small C, but just a smidge too big for B. I assume bra sizes are the same there? My hips have been hurting, heartburn, and feet swelling- the doc said all were normal and that my body just responds well to progesterone! :haha: I definitely have a slight rounding to my belly, I will upload a morning belly pic and an afternoon belly pic! I had my first run in with belly rubbing- it was so weird and exciting :haha: My boss is out on maternity leave, so her boss is acting as our supervisor and of course she knows I'm pregnant- the whole place did since I was so sick. She walked up and cupped my belly in her hands, said Ooooh, you're showing already!! It was weird, because that is awfully intimate but also really exciting because it was the first person, other than OH, to do it!

I will hopefully be a better buddy and carry the thread while you're gone- if you're sick. Hopefully, though, you won't be sick at all!!!

Now for the rough news- I've gained 16ish lbs in 6 weeks!!! WHAT! :dohh: I asked the doc, because at first I just ate whatever would go down or looked appetizing, which was definitely some unhealthy stuff. Now, though, I've been making healtheir choices and only gained 2 lbs this week, rather than the 4 per week it was. However that is still way faster than it should be! Dr. R wasn't worried though, just said to make healthy choices, drink more water and get exercise- what I gain will be what I gain and not to worry. It is slowing down, though and my dr. google searches and friend's stories all said it would. Several people and stories I read said that some women gain a lot in the first tri then only a couple more pounds the last two trimesters. A friend said she gained 20 in the first 12 weeks, then 6 more the last 28 weeks. I guess some bodies freak out and pack on the pounds in case of a food shortage? :haha: I'm still really worried, and I even borrowed my mom's treadmill! I'm finally feeling up to exercise, so I'm going to walk every day and make healthy food choices and drink non-stop- my body should stop gaining and start repositioning the fat stores! FXed!

Well, this is a huge update! I hope I can get on daily now, and stay abreast of how you're feeling!!! :happydance: I'm feeling better every day- just overwhelmingly fatigued by 7pm! You've got a couple more weeks before the fatigue hits, though! It didn't get me hard until 7 or 8 weeks, really- I mean, I was increasingly tired before my BFP to then but about then I felt physically sick if I didn't get in bed by 7! Of course, your pregnancy could be completely different so take what I say with a grain of salt!

Morning belly, 10 weeks- please excuse my hot mess self :haha:
Afternoon belly, 10 weeks- I don't think I have any of my major bloat pics to compare this to but it is definitely smaller than it was a couple of weeks ago. The bloat has been unlike anything I have ever experienced- it was even uncomfortable and made my skin hurt. :dohh:

Let me know how you're feeling and your symptoms, bump buddy!! :hugs:

Wow your tummy is already looking like a bump! I see what you mean! Quite a difference between morning and afternoon, your tummy seems bigger in the afternoon pic! So pleased you are feeling more yourself! Wow can't believe you're into your 11th week already! That went fast! You're 6 weeks ahead of me! You can give me labour tips in 29 weeks! :haha:

It's so crazy that my OH knew I was pregnant before I did! Every month I asked him if he thought I was pregnant and every month he said 'I don't know!' but this month I asked him and he said 'yes!'. It was him who persuaded me to test at 11dpo on our anniversary. I don't know if it was my bigger boobs that convinced him or the fact that we used opks. Have you got a gender guess for me? :haha:

My main symptom is the pain in the sides of my boobs! I have never felt anything like it before! It feels like someone has punched me on the sides of my boobs! :haha: A sort of tender bruised feeling near my armpit.

Here is a pic of my BFP from this morning (12/13dpo) using a Superdrug (store brand) test. I haven't enhanced this photo, and this one is darker than Thursdays. Still quite light though which worries me! Let me know what you think. Once I get to the end of next week I will feel much happier! I have seen some ladies have such dark bfps so early. Maybe I'll hold off testing again until next weekend (if I can!).

As long as it is darker, then I don't think you need to worry! Most women don't get dark bfps until later!

I think.... boy!

My boobs still hurt but definitely nothing like at first. I loooove the new big boobies! :haha:

How are you doing Brenn? Yesterday evening, when I stood up, I got a weird cramp that lasted about 10 seconds - it sort of freaked me out a bit! I was worried my little poppy seed was falling out of it's blanket! Have you had any crampy feelings?

When I reach 5 weeks I will relax more, I'm just so excited that we are finally expecting a baby and I really don't want anything to take this away! :cloud9:

Did you ever buy a house in the end? Or are you still searching? xx

Yep, I had cramping and still do- never extreme or needed pain medicine for it but felt just like, JUST like my period was here. I also had spotting at about 7 weeks, briefly pink then it became brown and disappeared that evening!

We are still looking for a house, we are really struggling to find one that is acceptable without being wayyyy too expensive!

How is my bump buddy? :hugs:

I phoned my doctors today to change my appointment to a midwife one. Apparently in the UK you don't go to your doctor for confirmation of pregnancy, just straight to a midwife at around 6 weeks. So I have my first appointment on Tuesday! :happydance:

I might do a pregnancy test again on Saturday morning, it will put my mind at ease and would be nice to see some dark lines!

Do your symptoms come and go? My boobs aren't very painful anymore, but I'm still getting occasional mild cramps. xx

I'm doing well! My symptoms all came and went to varying degrees until the nausea set in hardcore in my fifth and sixth week. Then it stayed, but everything else still had good and bad days. My breasts always hurt but not as bad some days, etc. Now my boobs barely hurt and the nausea is pretty much done. It all gets worse until about 8 weeks then it all starts getting better- usually and that was the case for me!

Luckily I haven't had any nausea really, just slightly when I'm hungry in the morning. My sisters never got morning sickness so I'm hoping I wont either! I was baby sitting my nephew today, he is such a good baby but is a very quick crawler! He kept finding anything he wasn't allowed - wires, vases, laptops etc! Think I'll get a play pen when ours crawls! :haha:

I finished my massive job I was doing and got paid, and my mum bought over a bottle of champagne to say well done! Obviously I can't drink it though. :dohh: Feels weird not telling anyone, especially when my sister was around and talking about 'when you have children etc'. I just wanted to shout 'I'm pregnant!' :D But will try to stay quiet until 12 weeks as OH and I agreed!

I found this lovely video about foetus growth in early pregnancy! https://www.babycenter.com/2_inside-pregnancy-early-fetal-development_10354436.bc

How are you doing buddy??? I'm doing well, having some issues with staying full and apparently ny metabolic rate is skyrocketing- so I haven't been sleeping at night due to having to get up to eat. U saw my doc yesterday and we are changing my diet and watching my blood sugar closely. I have been so tired I just haven't had any energy to get on here but hopeully that is changing! 2nd tri is right around thr corner for me!

How are your symptoms? What's going on with you!

Hi Brenn!

Sorry to hear your metabolic rate has gone crazy. :hugs: Hope it evens out soon. Are you still going to work? Wow it's so great you are almost in 2nd Tri! :happydance: That came around quick!

I went to my first mid wife appointment yesterday and they estimated me at 5 weeks and 4 days (so I'm 5 + 5 today). Apart from that all they did was write down my name and address, so quite a pointless appointment really! When she saw me she said 'I have seen you before haven't I!' and I said - no this is my first ever appointment!'. I worry how big my tummy must look if she thought she'd seen me before!

I had to walk for an hour in the rain for it, and waited in the waiting room for 40 minutes! She said she will phone me and arrange an at home appointment that will take around an hour. So I'm guessing that will be my proper first appointment.

I have quite a few spots on my face at the moment. :( Probably related to the hormones, or it might be stress because I have to do a presentation at the weekend to 200 people. I can't even have a drink to calm my nerves!

I am hungry ALL the time. I'm having breakfast, and 2 lunches, tea and a midnight snack every day. :haha: Just making my second lunch now! Pasta and cheese mmmm.

I have quite a bloated tummy, especially in the evenings. Slight nausea in the morning when I'm hungry but that's all for now.

OH and I have booked a couple of days at a hotel near a forest next week so that we can relax. It has a spa, outside heated jacuzzi and pool! Really excited!

I'm counting down the days at the moment until I'm 12 weeks. Really want to start telling family! We might book an early scan around 9 weeks so that we can hear the heart beat and feel more at ease. I never did do that pregnancy test at the weekend, OH said it was pointless and a waste of money so I didn't buy any! He's right really. I should just relax and enjoy pregnancy.

The starvation was normal for me! It was just hard to fight it while also being so nauseated. So glad to be done with the nausea!

I had a three pack pregnancy test and didn't buy anymore because it seemed like a waste! I wanted to test but I had three positives lol!

Good luck not telling, I only made it to ten weeks before announcing to the world :haha:

Hey, buddy! How are you doing? My doc was right with the metabolic rate and I just needed to increase my nutritional intake- everything I eat has to be packed with nutrients, so I have to make smart food choices! Which isn't that hard, unless I'm on the run.. Anyway, blood sugar levels are perfect, hopefully they stay that way! I also do not have to do the glucose test, where they make you fast then give you the sugar drink? I took it 10 years ago and failed non-pregnant, definitely couldn't do it now! I was sick for days after it so I told my doc I would not do it and she was said since I'm testing with the glucose meter four times a day, they didn't need it anyway!

Your trip next week sounds amazing! Have fun!!

Let me know how you're doing! Is that fatigue setting in? I'm still struggling with it, although it is certainly better because I make it to 8pm before bed! It was 5:30-6pm around week 8 :haha:

Hope you're doing well!! :hugs:

I just now realized we are exactly 6 weeks apart! I think you already noticed this and said so but apparently my brain isn't quick on the uptake these days! :haha:

Wow I hadn't noticed we were exactly 6 weeks apart! I have had quite a stressful weekend because I did a big presentation - so feel quite tired from that (and so relieved it's over!) But I don't have many pregnancy symptoms yet! I'm very bloated, and get a slight cramp now and again. But not had nausea or major tiredness yet! Perhaps it will hit me next week when I'm all relaxed. Neither or my sisters had nausea in pregnancy, but I remember one of them getting very tired in the first trimester. Because I work from home I wake up when I want to, so maybe I'm just getting enough sleep - I do seem to sleep an hour later in the morning than I used to!

Great to hear your blood sugar levels are good! I'm glad your symptoms are settling down now and you are getting to Second Tri! xx

I recieved my 'welcome to pregnancy' pack in the post today! :haha: (It's not really called that, but you get what I mean!) My first proper proper midwife appointment is 4th October - this is the one that takes an hour. So that will make everything seem more real! :happydance:

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Today I have some light brown cm. Is this normal or should I be worried? I really don't want to lose my tiny beany.

I had pink then brown spotting all day early on, about 8 weeks. If it gets heavy, turns red or you start cramping severely then see a doc- otherwise it is normal and just take it easy!!

I was terrified when I saw my spotting and it happened for an entire day. The doc, oh, and my friends all reassured me- thankfully! Your bean may just be settling in nicely! :hugs:

Thanks Brenn. I have made an appointment at the Early Pregnancy Unit for tomorrow and they are going to give me a scan to make sure everything is okay. I'll let you know how I get on! Am nervous about it. Really hope we get to hear baby's heartbeat. xx

I'll be thinking of you! We didn't hear baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks but we did see it! It was amazing. I got to hear it at my last appointment, so about 9 weeks, and I could sit and listen all day long. I hope you can hear it or at least see it!!! :hugs:
