Brenn & Teacup are bump buddies!!!

I'll be thinking of you! We didn't hear baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks but we did see it! It was amazing. I got to hear it at my last appointment, so about 9 weeks, and I could sit and listen all day long. I hope you can hear it or at least see it!!! :hugs:

Thanks Brenn, I have been quite emotional today, poor OH doesn't know what to do with me! I'm really hoping everything is okay tomorrow. I have read that brown spotting is common and usually nothing to worry about it, but I still keep crying! I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. xx

Well the emotional craziness is normal, regardless of spotting :haha:

I have had a number of days where I either became absurdly angry or cried at nothing/almost nothing. I cried when an ambulance with the sirens on passed me the other day.

If you're still only a little brown I'm willing to bet you're okay! Baby is likely snuggled in too tightly to even think of going anywhere!

Thanks Brenn. Just got back from scan, they said it measures a lot less than 6 weeks, but that they can't be sure how many weeks I am as their ultrasound equipment can't accurately date when you are less than 6 weeks. They said the sac was only 5mm, and that there wasn't much to see yet (no heartbeat just a blob). They have booked me for a scan on the 4th Oct (a week on Friday) and will be able to tell more then whether it's a viable pregnancy judging by if it's grown or not. They couldn't tell what caused the spotting. My sister said she was measured 2 weeks behind when she had her scan and everything turned out fine - so we'll just have to wait and see. It's going to be a long 10 days! :(

:hugs: That is definitely not the great news you were hoping for but keep in mind I measured 3 days behind- if you are just a late ovulater then you could be measuring a week behind (which they wouldn't know since their equipment is crappy) and the baby be perfectly healthy!! I hope you're able to stay calm and trust little baby to keep growing.

My ultrasound was just a blobbie, noting at all to see. I'm sorry it wasn't as reassuring as you needed :hugs:

Thanks Brenn. I keep researching and finding conflicting info. Just going to have to chill out and see what happens next Friday. The brown cm has practically disappeared so that's a positive at least. A 5mm sac is normally just over 4 weeks, which sounds like I'm at least a week and a half behind what I'm supposed to be.

The measurements are plus or minus three days, because tiny sacs all grow a bit differently! So you could easily be over 5 weeks which isn't in yhe realm of impossible if baby implanted late. I know it is so hard to stay positive and not let your heart break, so I'm staying positive for you!! :hugs:

Hi Brenn! Still spotting (so that makes it 6 days) and it's still light but is slightly red now. Really worried. I have another 6 days until my next ultrasound, it's going to be a long week. No cramps yet, so trying to stay positive but it's hard! Sorry to bring gloom to our exciting bump buddy diary. xx

Hope everything is good with you! :hugs:

Well that isn't a good sign, I'm so sorry teacup! I had some pink spotting, then brown so this doesn't have to be bad yet!! Keep thinking positive buddy!!

:hugs: I'm always here... well, I check daily :haha:

Thanks Brenn, I'm pretty sure my little sesame is no more. I had some period-like cramps this afternoon, and am now having what is like a normal period. I don't think I'll contact any doctors/midwives or anything, will just wait until my scan on Friday for confirmation. Not sure if I am allowed a hot bath to help things flow, or if I should keep thinking I could still be pregnant and avoid painkillers/hot baths?

Even pregnant you're allowed a hot bath as long as you don't get too hot- and if you're having a period, I think it is safe to say this LO wasn't able to stay here. :hugs: I would take a long, hot bath and do anything else that will help you to grieve and say goodbye. Take some painkillers, definitely, because I've heard this can be rough physically. I hope it isn't so for you, though. I'm so sorry this happened, there isn't anything to say that could make it better but I'm here and when you're ready, we'll move back to our other buddy thread. I'll follow your lead :hugs:
