i'm waiting till the summer hon, as it's just for maddi, i no she's going to grow up, so it's not too bad for us at all and i've seen dresses i love already.
because i have the one bridesmaid and because she's my daughter i feel i can leave it later, if i was having 'grown-up' bridesmaids and more than one, i'd probably start looking now/and purchasing
I got mine 10 months in advance, it was a bargin too good to pass up. Also had I of had to order it in it would have taken 6 months. I was just lucky it was the sample dress that fit my MOH.
My flower girl will be going to try dresses on in feb/march as she's only little and will grow quite a bit - hers is just a BHS/Deb's jobby tho
I haven't got any and the wedding is 8 weeks on Friday. REALLY worried, especially as one of my bridesmaids is plus-sized and is very fussy about what she'll wear, and we simply haven't time to order something made to measure (as she'd like and has suggested). So I have to find SOMETHING suitable off the peg pretty much and then match my other bridesmaids to that (one is a 12-14 and the other age 2-3). I hope it's not going to prove too difficult.
I think the baby bridesmaid will be fine as I had a look in Debenhams and love the stuff available.
For the adults, I don't want to put them in a typical bm dress anyway, something elegant and evening-y would be more like it. (Though I feel like getting revenge on one of them for the awful purple disaster she made me wear 4 years ago.)
My sisters eight months preg and we have 8 months to go till wedding. She wants to lose loads of weight and will be breastfeeding so think I'll wait till June-ish. We women can gain or lose weight in 8 months.
my best friend got hers 9 months early they were made to measure and it caused nothing but problems some put to much weight on they need pieces in i was expecting but luckly could still fit in mine one could even get in hers! if i was you id hold off for a few months theres always lots of bargins on ebay ours were 60 and made to measure! x
I bought mine off eBay in sizes. They have all tried them on and they fit them all and I have made it clear if they need them alteringfrom putting on/losing weight they pay not me. I say go for it hun.
I got my bridesmaids dresses in October and we don't get married until August, I got 5 dresses for under £100.
I have told all my bridesmaids though that if they put on weight and don't fit into the dresses then they have the choice out of buying their own new dresses that do fit or not being a bridesmaid and they understand.
I have had mine since about october so that is 8 months before our wedding. Not having them taken up or in untill May/June which is a couple of months before.
Haven't brough my flower girls yet tho as she is likley to grow!!
