I was planing on bringing my lo shopping with me but I'm having 2nd thoughts. Would you or did you bring your lo to a mall this early? It won't be mobbed or anything but I'm sure it will be somewhat busy. I'm freaked out at the idea of having to change him in a mall bathroom. Am I just being paranoid?

I've been bringing both my girls to the mall since they were a week old. I just keep them close either in the stroller or carrier. I always keep hand sanitizer with my and remember to bring my change mat. I also never let people touch them or get too close. Should be fine to take your LO to the mall.

I didn't at a month, I took him shopping at around 7 weeks in the sling. If you feel confident there's no reason you shouldn't take him out though, have you thought about putting him into a sling? They usually fall fast asleep in them :o)

I reckon go for it! X

I think you'll be fine :) I took my LO shopping around then for the first time, she slept in my ergo carrier for most of it. Just check out where you're going in advance so you know where the toilets with baby change areas are, leave lots of extra time and think about how/where you're going to feed LO when you're there. Have fun :)

I would recommend you take your stroller, then cover it with a blanket. Or do the sling or wrap.

Lo was born on a Tuesday, we went shopping at the mall on a Sunday.

I found it easier to go shopping with a young baby as they sleep more so you get a chance to get round quicker. Just make sure you know where the baby change is and don't stray too far from a seat where you can feed and you'll be fine

So much easier whehn they are little! Gracie went to the hypermarket as soon a we were released out of hospital lol x

I took LO out as a newborn. The shooping centre where I live has a "Caregivers Room" Which has curtained cubbies to BF and several change spaces, kids pen and even a microwave! I couldn't beleive it lol. First time I left the nappies in the car and had to change him in the boot of the car (stationwagon) for all to see!

Ihave changed little one on the back seat of the car and in her pram lol

I did at about 2 weeks .. And I took her to the highstreet by me at just over a week

I took him out a couple days after we got back from the hospital, you can always change him in his pram or just put his own changing mat or blanket over the changing facilities if your worried about putting him directly on somewhere which is used by lots of other babies.

I think you will be fine, just dont let the dreaded onlookers breath on your baby :) I had to take my son to the airport when he was four days old and I was SO PARANOID! I even had a stranger asked if they could hold him!! Needless to say I said no. Plus when I was breast feeding he wouldnt feed under a cover and I didnt feel comfortable doing it in public so when I went out I had to sit in the bathroom and feed him :( but hes as healthy as can be and hasnt gotten sick yet!

Ive always taken mine with me. I wouldnt dream of not tbh. Where else does the shopping go? lol

Seriously, Layla was about 2 weeks when we took her. It was only that long as I was in hospital for a week and then recovering at home a bit more before I ventured out
