Our old flat was in an area where gas prices are high. We had gas boiler and electric. That worked out at £76 a month for the gas - with a 2 month payment holiday - that was DD over the course of a year.
As it was a flat we rarely used heating, maybe 2 hours a day in winter! BUT, OH would have LOOOOONG showers, I'm talking an hour at a time and then there was me having a shower to twice a day and all the dishes to do.
This was with an 8 yr old boiler as well.
Something is definitely wrong with that meter!
I'm dreading our electric bill as I keep asking OH to check the meter and take a reading but he doesn't and I cant find the key......its been 7 months!!!
