i was wondering ...looks like it's about $25 here (California)for a box of formula about any brand is the same...

would you said ...how much money does it cost you on formula monthly ...? and how many bottles do you make with one box?

i am trying to figure it out the formula cost...

so let said for the first 6 months...
and 6 months to 12 months i will imagine it will cost less as baby eat more solid food?

I use one box of formula a week. They are 900grams here. Meadow has 4/5 7oz bottles a day.

yeah around $100 a month the first few months, ours was maybe a bit more say $120 because the formula we buy is like $30 a can. One can lasted approximately one week, though Hannah never did drink more than 24 ounces a week (unless she'd hit a growth spurt).

Now we only spend about $50 a month....

annabelle had 5 bottles of 6oz a day when she was in a routine but fed every 2 hours for a few weeks so more then, i would say one tin lasts about a week. its about 8 pound a tin here but no idea how much that is in dollars sorry

At first one of the big ones (I assume they are the same size as the ones youre talking about) lasted a week. Now they last a little less than a week. We use nearly 5 of them a month. But, I got onto WIC and I get 10 of the smaller cans a month...and I only have to buy one or two extra.

About 100$ a month for the first few months and I bought boxes of concentrated... Now it would be about 60$ a month and I buy powder..

it honestly isnt that expensive, I dont know why people whine about it being alot of money...

About $100/month with Charlotte on the name brand Enfamil
With Austin on Wal-Mart brand it's only $14/can instead of $26.
Right now we're going thru one big can in about 2 weeks. As they get older it goes to about 1 can a week. So...it'll cost about $60 a month with the generic when he gets to that point.

Only because I've done the math before...

Nestle Good start omega 3/6 (what I use) for dry is roughly $32 a can
The can is 730g (if you are lucky they have the bonus packs with a can of natural cultures 340g too)
it takes roughly 7g to make 2 ounces so one can has 208oz
Brooklynn averaged 32 oz a day which meant I got 6.5 days out of a can
and a ounce of formula cost 15 cents or $4.92/day

I think average is one tub a week! Although they go on to foods etc the ounces they take becomes more so weighs out roughly around the same.

The one I use I think is £7 (gbp) so I'd say I spend around £30 (I buy 5 a month) & buy the ready made for emergencies and days out which are around 50p each.

Try checking Costco...they carry Enfamil and Similac....they have really good price on it, or they use to when we used it for Casen granted it's been 3yrs lol but I think its still better priced than the store. Target also has good deals on formula alot

I buy the boxes of 12 cans of concentrate.. they each make up over 0.75L of formula,

Usually one can of this will last one day for us, but Elyse is a pokey eater really, sometimes I use 1.5 cans in a day, but rarely..

The case is $36.99-$46.99 from what I've seen, we buy it at $36.99 obviously, this is using Similac with Omega 3 & Omega 6.. 2.5 cases a month probably so working out to just under $100/month I'd estimate...

It was less for us in the beginning, we'd use 2 cans of the concentrate over 3 days usually but being 'wasteful'- filling 3oz and she'd only take 2 usually.. we're up to 1.5 cans per day now and it will probably stay that way and go back to a can a day probably when get further along in weaning..

At Wal Mart here a bottle of the ready-made, 8oz I think?? is $8.97 for Similac.
I don't know how much the powder costs because I don't use it, I tried it once (they send you a freebie here) and did not like it at all compared to using the concentrate :)

we budget for $60 per pay period, so 120$ per month.

yea right now we're spending $100 a month on formula. Getting ready to go down though as she's just dropped a bottle over the weekend.

I buy one box a week at £7 and occasionaly the cartons which are around 60p each.

I'd also go to Costco hun. They do the big cans of Enfamil with Lipil for about $32. Its like the extra big, not the normal size they have at Safeway or Target. I'm not really positive, Erica was never solely on formula. By the time we stopped BF'ing, she was starting with cereals and foods.
