How??

I used to be able to get away with spending all my money on clothes/nights out/take aways but i could go without if i had no money, baby can't go without food or nappies!

Do i just write down how much i've got and see what i spend? I don't know where to start...

How do you budget, i seriously need help =[

I did a spreadsheet on Excel. I put down our income and our outgoings (all the bills, mortgage, sofa repayments, food, car, debt etc etc). we left Amelies child benefit out for her nappies, food, wipes all that b/c she doesnt get through £20 a week on nappies.

Again, do yourself a spreadsheet.

Write down all your bills, estimate (on the high side if you can) your own expenses like food, fuel if you have a car etc, and see how much you have going out. Look at your income, including any benefits, grants, allowances etc.

I would recommend using the budgeting tool on moneysavingexpert.com - it's really clever and includes things that I wouldn't even think about.

a spreadsheet is the way forward
I use the one on money saving expert - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/Budget-planning

make sure you write down every penny you spend too, I keep a little notebook with me a write down everything - whether it's 10p or £100 because all those little things add up!

I just add up all my outgoing's rent bills ect and take that away from my incomings and what iv got left is my disposable income. Im lucky i get paid weekly so i cant spend it all at once.

Also I just always think twice about something now, before I used to see something, like it and buy, now I see, like, think will I really use it/is it worth it and walk away if the answer is no!! x
