Wow! Chloe used to be like that but not so much anymore.

:hugs: Hope you feel better and that the weather perks up, it was wet and misty here this morning but the sun has come out, yes it's still cold but at least it's nice and sunny looking now! Hope you get it too so you can venture out :flower:

Hmm, not sure, it makes them feed funny sometimes so maybe thats what is causing it? Perhaps call HV?

kte, i find i have to make the porridge thicker for harry or he wont take it... boy seems to like it gloopy or he spits it out everywhere. i also have to make the most over enthusiastic faces n noises, lol :dohh:

lk- yay for the start date!!! :happydance:

maffie- great face plant pic!!! we seems to hve a similar feeding pattern to you too; minimum 10 feeds a day i reckon.

eswift- sounds like cc defo likes her food

well, i gave harry blw style broccoli, a green bean, a bit of babycorn & a carrot. no interest in the carrot, but he gummed the bean n corn a bit.... he was really interested in the broccoli & ate about half of it, and no gagging or choking! but man, his nappy thismorning was gross!!!!!!!!!! smelly, watery & full of broccoli; is that normal???!!!

also got him weighed yesterday (24+1) & he put on a whole lb in 3 weeks! so he's now 13lbs 15oz & the best thing is that it puts him up to just above the 2nd centile line!!! i'm really happy, as he hasn't had any formula since beginning of feb & only very small attempts at weaning n apart from still sleeping crap, he is such a happy little boy :)

my god i dont come on properly for 2 days and its like i have missed a whole month lol.

LK - congratz on the job start date, good luck.

Maffie - Love the pic, looks like sleep is on the cards lol.

and everyone else, ill reply when I get round to reading properly lol

Flora yeah we usually do 10 feeds sometimes thats 12/14 if he's feeding at night too.

Re: poo, Noah's poo varies depending on the food eaten, he was a little bunged up he ate a massive bit of banana faster than i expected the ganet. Anyway I gave him prunes to soften up the poo and you could see the pruney colour and flesh in it. Courgette is a good one for thinning poo lol.

Im so glad Chloe wants to wait, this sounds ikky! :haha:

My nappies are easier to wash when he eats food

Haha same here! When Autumn was sick last week and only taking that special formula, her poo went baby to 'baby poo' .. it was gross. I prefer soild food 'people poo' lol

I guess . . . never thought of it like that, normal poo doesn't stain  lol

Well normal poo doesn't soak into all the fibres

Now girls did you think this time last year you'd all be discussing poo??? :haha:

Now girls did you think this time last year you'd all be discussing poo??? :haha:

lol, nope :haha:

...nor did I realize that by the end of each day I'd be covered in a combination of drool and spit-up

flora- Emma's blw nappies are always an interesting surprise the next morning

Thanks for all the well wishes...I know it will get better and I'll get there eventually. I wouldn't mind temping for a while....yes the money may be uncertain, but I'd have the flexibility if Earl needed me for a day etc.

Re: Poo (lovely lol) - Earl's hasn't really changed unless he had cauliflower then boy do you know about it!! I gave him some stage 2 jarred stuff the other night and it had lumps of carrot, which were still coming through 2 days later as well. He has puree though, so with that, and the bits of finger food, it's a fun ride. Oh and sometimes it's like tar and just will not come off his bottom  - that's enough of that! :dohh:

Today has been lovely been shopping for some goodies. Got me some new undies (still wearning maternity knickers and what have been rather fantastically named 'Scraggy Pants' by hubby lol) so that's a nice thing. Got Earl some shoes, and hubby some thermals for diving  Also got some size 5's for Earl at night time.....they fit him really well. Hopefully no more leaks tonight.

Re: Routine. Earl used to be terrible. used to be every 2.5 hours except at night. Now it's really simple. 4am, 8am + breakfast, 12 + lunch, 4pm, 5.30pm dinner, 7pm bedtime, 10.30 DFeed. Each one used to be 5 - 7oz, but I'm in the process of upping his daytime feeds to 8oz in the hope that his 4am fed will dwindle (he's waking for it earlier and earlier, 2.30 and 3 last 2 nights) and I'm cutting him back 1oz per week. 4oz at the moment. Very complicated this baby feeding lark lol.

Kte - Hope the porridge experiment had shown the CM up nicely. You're completely right that Chloe is still only little, not even half a year old yet, how 'settled' does she expect her to be exactly. Sounds to me like she's not used to the hard work of a baby. How are the moving plans going?

Evening girls. James has learned 2 new words....dad-dad and nan-nan. Has been saying them allllll day! Oh and tried him on his tummy in the bath today and he thought it was wicked! Swimmin up and down the bath lol. Then he dropped his face into the water and gave himself a bubble beard and moustache and frightened himself lol. He is trying desperately to get onto his hands and knees. Can do each seperately but not at the same time lol.

Evening all,

CM was telling Nij again today Chloe needs weaning, if only she knew! Chloe still being branded as 'unsettled'. I hate all the negativity directed at her regarding it. I feel I am very lucky as she is a very happy contented little girl most of the time.

She is trying to go to sleep at the mo.

....I can smell curry....dunno why but I want some now :haha:

Aimee: Its hard but keep it up job hunting, its frustrating when they don't even say no. I sent a few to where we may move to (I say may as if we heard nothing from Nij's work tomorrow its a no-go for now) but heard zip. Gah I hate limbo!

Size 5 nappies already! Chloe is off to see a 1yr old I think Nij said she is, same build and weight as Chloe so getting him to get comparison pics like you did with Earl! I started a 'bigger babies' thread too, inspired by the iddy biddy babies one Flora mentioned. https://www.babyandbump.com/bnb-groups/299623-bigger-babies-club-help-group-name-needed.html (link thing wouldn't work)

LK: He is one determined little Man, first out of the Bumpkin's to crawl perhaps?!?

Hope Colsy is okay, forgot to say it was good news about her OH :)

Eswift: Hope that the christening plans are going well and your not too rushed off your feet :flower:

Flora: Yeah might need to thicken mine up a bit . . .it was kinda tapioca style. I'd mixed it properly, I just need to play around with the powder water mix a bit lol!

Kaites: Its great isn't it, especially the kind where you have been wandering around all day and then just realise at night it was there!

Well, sounds like she is off, going to try and transport her to bed.

Nite all :hugs:

Well James is very very unsettled tonight. He took a good hour and a half to get to sleep. Had to give him nurofen and cuddle him to sleep. Can't decide whether its his teeth or whether he has given himself tummy ache by downing 8oz milk! He is sound asleep now so hoping we will have an ok night

Kte - he sure is a determined little boy. Stubborn like his mummy :haha: Don't think he will be long before he figures it out. He was so close to commando crawling earlier :dohh: No more leaving him playing on the floor while I do stuff in another room lol.

Evening all,

Hope Colsy is okay, forgot to say it was good news about her OH :)

Thanks :-) Yes, am fine. Just had a busy week so not been BnB-ing. Nights seem to be getting worse but am getting used to that now ... last night we were up at 10.30pm for a feed (I'd only been in bed an hour!), and then another feed at 3am but Monty wouldn't sleep again until nearly 5am. He kept bringing his legs up to his tummy and really crying hard, just like he used to be when he had his colic. Nothing would console him so we just laid him in bed between us and kind of dozed off between crying bouts, and eventually he had another feed and then let us put him back to bed.

Anybody got any recommendations for any particular high chairs? Is there any reason why we can't use a travel one for all the time? The non-travel ones are just so huge.

Aimee, hope you get the job you want soon. I guess you're fortunate that there's so many on offer for you to apply for in the right area.

Love n hugs to all of you xx

P.S. Kte, any news on OH's job in Somerset? Hope you hear today.

Sadly nope :nope: Maybe there is still time but we are counting it as a no. Maybe its a blessing in disguse, everything happens for a reason and all the jazz!

Regardless, I hate it when they don't even tell you no!!

I was up and down emotionally all the time but had started to look forward to it but it's all too ideal to have worked out :haha:

We are lucky in that either way we are happy as we either get to a) move to a new place, new jobs etc 'new life' or b) get to stay with people we know in jobs we like and do up the house how we originally planned. I am also happy to stay as I get to finish my degree off too which is a bonus.

Gosh its quiet in here today! Hope everyone has a nice weekend :hugs:

Evening ladies. Sorry havn't been on til now but theres a bit of a family thing going on here. Lots of arguing so now James is really unsettled and I've just had to swaddle him for the first time in months :( I hate it cos I moved here to get away from all the arguments and still get caught in the middle of one :(
