Hello!

Hope everyone is having a good day :) I finally plucked up the courage to put Emma back in her own room last night after weeks of saying that I would do it and then chickening out. It's weird because after she was born, she mostly slept in her own room since DH snores so loudly but around xmas, she moved into our room permanently (I finally got too lazy to cross the hall in the middle of the night :haha:). Anyway, last night I got a crappy sleep because I realized that not only is DH's snoring so loud that you can hear it in Emma's room, but it kept me up because I couldn't hear Emma over his noise and I spent the night listening for her  Argh, now I know how couples end up sleeping in separate rooms- I haven't done it yet, but I came close last night...

Maffie- Happy 6 months Noah!! Adorable pic of Noah too- I love his shirt :)

Aimee- good for you, sending the vests in! I used to hate openning the packs in the store, but with baby sizing being all over the place, they don't give you much choice. I agree about the trauma of weaning- thank god we bought a house without too much carpet :haha: I'm still coming to grips with all the outfit changes we go through in a day! Sounds like Earl is having fun in the bouncer. It's one of Emma's favourites too :)

Kte- I'm waiting for the cat to discover all the food that is tossed over the side of the highchair during meals, lol :) I think once she does, Emma will be Beasty's new BFF :haha:

LK- Wow- sounds like James is really keeping you on your toes!

Right, I should get started on chopping some veggies for dinner before Emma wakes from her nap- seems like all I do is cook these days, just to have a lot of it end up on the floor at dinnertime

Morning all,

Kaites: How did it go with Emma back in her own room? Will be moving Chloe over soon but I have to get her used to the travel cot space again. She is in a sleeping bag so its not too bad but when her dummy pops out she can't find it as easily as she could in the moses basket. I think when she does this in her own room I can leave her mumbling at least! I know she will be fine.

LK: Well done James! Chloe shows no signes of movement yet, she is quite happy sat down exploring so that's good for me at the moment as at least I know where she is . . . I stand on the cats quite a lot  so need to make sure I don't step on tiny hands when the time comes!

Maffie: How you feeling today? :flower:

Hope Colsy, Eswift, Flora and any other absent Bumpkins are good :flower:

Well that 'something exciting' never happened, something kind of did happen but I am not sure what and it wasn't exactly great! :dohh: Other than don't really know what to say about it all as I have no clue what is happening myself

Ah well, Chloe was all smiles at nursery again today :cloud9: It makes me smile knowing she is happy.

Well, :coffee: time methinks! Have a good day all :flower: :hugs:

Its official, I am single . . . Nij cheated on me, is cheating on me, is with someone else. So yeah, its just me and Chloe.

Hope Colsy, Eswift, Flora and any other absent Bumpkins are good :flower:

I am good, thanks! OH ill *again* so am half on Monty duty, half working, depending on the time of day! Hence v quick hello from me.

But Kte, are you serious re Nij? I am shocked. I don't know what to say :nope: other than to send you some :hugs:. I hope things work out in the end the way you want them to work out. Lots and lots of luck and love xx

Its official, I am single . . . Nij cheated on me, is cheating on me, is with someone else. So yeah, its just me and Chloe.

What. The. Fuck.

Are you serious?! Ass. Needs to GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*sigh* :hugs:

Sorry I aint been about girls, Family has been stuck here at my house for the last week because of that poxy volcano. Things are getting stressy here to say the least. They are supposed to be able to fly home on Sunday. I'll be back around after that.

Hope all is well!!

Whoa! I'm so sorry to hear that Kte :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

These babies can put a lot of strain on relationships but that just blows...

Chatting about travel cots and dummies seems pretty trivial after that bombshell

Chaos- :hugs: to you too- different kinda stress, lol! Hope you've had a nice visit with your sister.

Colsy- :hugs: to you guys too- hope your OH is feeling better soon!

Still early here but hopefully our day will continue to be uneventful. Emma was in her room again last night and I still woke up lots. Good news is that she seems to be able to self-settle well- too bad I'm having troubles doing the same  In other news, Emma used the potty for the first time yesterday. I decided to try her on a little potty since she has started to get pretty upset with pooping in her diaper since starting solids (it gets changed right away but she gets pretty unhappy about feeling something in there). Anyway, when she seemed ready to go, I popped her on with the potty in front of her activity centre table and waited while she played away. It went really well and she seemed really happy about it all so we'll try again today  Our parenting is pretty much entirely baby-led, but pooping in a potty at 6mths is one direction I never thought we'd go in... High maintenance child :haha:

Hope we're all well :hugs:

Kte - I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you're ok and that you have support to help you through this....and that you've turfed the cheating BEEP out on his ear! My hubby knows there's no coming back from that one! You know we're all here for you....and Chloe is there for you no matter what! :flower:

Kaites- How did Emma go in her own room?

We've had a good day. Been shopping for a 1st birthday present for Earl's cousin. We got her a couple of little tops and a pair of jeans in 12-18m (she's still in 6-9s I think ) and an ELC wooden dinosaur to drive her parents potty! lol

Seems a bit wrong to carry on with triviality. Best be off anyway - lunchtime and Earl is having a nap - may get my lunch to myself.

Hugs again Kte - I hope you're ok hun.

Oh Kte thats terrible :hugs: you know where I am if you need to chat hunni.

Well James is being a little monkey today. He keeps throwing up on the floor and then playing with it! Smears it all over the laminate. Its so minging! And I can't decide whether he is doing it on purpose or whether he is just having a problem with his reflux today. He is refusing to drink his bottles unless they are quite hot. Well we are going to have a lovely weekend....we are off to spend it with OH and my friend is coming down from Oxford so we are going to spend tomorrow over at Cotswold Water Park (basically a load of lakes) and have a picnic. And then go out for lunch on Sunday. So should be nice.

V quickly to say I feel better about BLW having listened to lots of girls on BnB and read the books again. So today at lunch Monty had avocado, pitta bread and apple :-) BTW, to those of you who were discussing high chairs with me ages ago, in the end we found a fab Tripp Trapp local on eBay, so that's what we're using. And Monty loves sitting in it, so everyone's a winner, as 'they' say.

Sorry for the dampner ladies! :hugs: I'm confused as hell! It's just complicated, we are talking through things at the moment,

Colsy: Hope you feel better soon :flower:

Chaos: Sounds like madness! That pesky volcano!

Colsy: Hope you feel better soon :flower:

Oh, I'm fine, don't you worry about me. It's my OH who's ill AGAIN. He's been to the doctor today to get a good going over, because usually he just doesn't do ill and yet for the past 6 months (hmmm, since Monty was born) he's had one thing after another after another after another after another etc. He told the doc he was fed up with me telling him to see a doc! At that point, the GP listened and took some bloods. Weekend now so no idea when we get the results, but am hoping will be next week. Was soooo looking forward to weekend but looks as though it may just be me and Monty, as OH not exactly bouncing along like Tigger.

Colsy - I hope your OH feels better soon.

Kte- good luck with the negotiations. You're more patient than I would be.

Kaites - hmmmm funny you should say about the nappies. I have noticed Earl is more willing to do everything sans-nappy lately, to the point where he will cry and cry for no reason, and so I'll go through the motions, change him and hey presto, happy baby! lol He's done it today in fact lol. He also wont sleep if his nappy is wet, even a little bit so part of our pre-nap routine is a change. I may have to invest in a potty and have a go myself.....eeek potty training at this stage? Probably a phase but we shall see lol.

6 months on Monday - half a year has gone quick!!

Anyone else feel like they have an ever more toddlerish baby on their hands? Earl is getting cheekier and more determined by the hour I swear, although he's a lot easier to entertain now. :haha:

Aimee - its only becasue nowI am confused as hell, he said he was cheating on me then said it was a joke becasue I pissed him off? Becasue I was texting to see when we could talk? He is at the moment choosing between her and me, he wants me he says but still wants to be her friend, which would drive me nuts and is a no no. If he had cheated on me he will be booted out, he is stopping out tonight, if at hers bye bye again, if not fine, we will work on it. Daft thing is this is EXACTLY what my ex-hubby did, so I won't take no messing!

thanks for your suppost girls :hugs: will be back to re-read your posts properly soon xx (the bits about you all!)

Kte - Goodness, what a situation. I'm not going to garner any advice, you'll be confused enough as it is. I really do hope it works out for the best for you....and I hope that Chloe has had a good day with all the ups and downs.

:hugs:

:hi:

well, after an 'extended' honeymoon thanks to Iceland's lovely volcano, we are back, safe n sound in the UK. :)

i haven't read any of the previous messages, as I think missing 2 weeks worth of posts would take a small lifetime to catch up on, but I hope everyone & their babies are well?

all ok here; just got to get back into the swing of things at home like doing all the dirty laundry & unpacking suitcases, eating wedding chocolates etc etc. :)

Kte- Sounds like a horrible, confusing day :hugs: At least it's the weekend and you'll be able to cuddle up with Chloe. :hugs: to both of you

LK- enjoy the picnic tomorrow- you must be looking forward to not having to work and have that crazy commute! That's funny and gross about James playing with the spit up :haha:

Colsy- glad to hear BLW is going well :) That's great that the Tripp Trapp is working out well. I'm beginning to loathe the Chicco Polly as time goes by- I still like that it has a wipeable cover and converts to a booster chair but hate all the little spots for food to hide. Oh well, hopefully Emma will learn to be a bit neater with her food eventually

Aimee- I'm hoping it's just a phase too, lol :) I'm afraid of giving her long term toilet issues by popping her on the potty too early but then also wonder, if she hates pooping in her diaper so much, and if there is something I can do about it, then is that better? (if that makes any sense?) I figured I might as well buy the potty and give it a try since we'll need one at some point down the road anyway. I did the baby sign for "poo" and made a little song up for her too  If nothing else, she'll probably learn to associate the activity centre that MIL bought her with going for a poo :haha: I can definitely relate to feeling like she's turning into a toddler. When my parents were over earlier, I swear it sounded like Emma was answering their questions with "yeah" and "okay". Happy 6mths on Monday too :) It's insane how fast these LOs are making the year pass by!

Flora- welcome home! Hope you had an awesome wedding and honeymoon! How'd Harry enjoy travelling?

So anyone have special plans for the weekend? I think I'm heading to my parents for a BBQ tomorrow with Emma while DH is at work. Not much else happening though.

harry loved the aeroplane! Mainy coz he decided to do the whole on again off again feeding pretty much the whol journey out & was stood bouncing up n down n sticking his tongue out at the lady behind us on the way today, lol. The Italians adored him & literally everyone kept coming up to him n holding his hands, talking to him n stuff- kinda freaked me out a bit at first as i was like, 'you're a stranger, get the heck away from my baby!' but then I realised everyone out there just loves kids.
and get this, I breastfed like everyhwere out there & I didnt care & there were ladies giving me thumbs up signs, smiling, chatting to him while he fed, tickling his toes- even old men- i just couldnt believe how pro-bfing & pro family there all were & how accomodating they were fror us. i felt 100% relaxed everywhere we went & harry was sooooo much happier for it too. And he's really chunking up now thanks to froage frais, pear, pasta stars & porridge which he wolfed down everyday we were there & one lady in the ice cream parlour gave him a teeny little cone with some frozen yogurt in it, which he loved & was all hyper afterwards, lol.

anyway... better go t bed as I have to get up early n get my arse down to asda or tesco to do some food shopping... with my non existent money that an extra 6 days abroad cost us :dohh:

kte- WTF????!!! I dont even know what else to say... is he for real?!

PS. sorry if my typos are shckingly bad at the moment- I stillo have the false nails on from the wedding, which s making typing even more difficult than i already used to find it, :dohh: I'll upload some wedding pics when I get change to sift through everything ppl have uploaded on facebook n stuff. :)

have a great weekend everyone :)

HE says he isn't happy and that being with othes and the thrill of the chase etc makes him more happy, so basically his head wants me and his 'body' doesn't and being a bit of a twat, is following his you know what.

LK - ha ha, all those times he posted in the single mummy thread about dads leaving, what a hypocrite!!

Thrill of the chase?! What is he, fking 15? He has a KID!!! I think he's more afraid of actual commitment and what it means (Ie growing up and being an adult) vs being unsure. He needs to stop thinking with his cock and of him self and think about you and that beautiful baby girl. Better off with out.
Chica, you deserve better, and I hope he reads this. >:(
