Morning all

Kte :hugs: I think I have agrasp of how you are feeling when my OH did similar thankfully he never met up with her but the anguish it causes is unbearable. If you need an ear to vent or anything let me know.

Fleur hope the honeymoon was wonderful

Colsy hope your OH's doc can figure out whats wrong

Chaos hope your family can get home safely soon and give you some peace and quiet.

Went out to the city yesterday, lots of shopping met OH for lunch then more shopping. Then we got a hire car and went out for dinner (was a bit rubbush we always go to our fave TGIs but my chicken was burnt and so was part of OH's dinner and their response was yeah we have a new grill its doing that we can do you another but we are busy so will be ages :saywhat: )

They will be getting a stiff letter/email

Went to asda after that and boy have the prices gone up or what.... we need to budget better.

My feet are swollen from the walking  and I didnt manage to buy anything for me :haha: Im meant to be tidying as OH has gone to pick up his sons (just hoping their mum doesn't kick off again)

Morning all , hope were all well, sorry not been on for a while, as you are aware George was ill, and in Hospital, last week, he was ill again, with a severe chest infection, i have had a rough 3 weeks!!! and his routine has gone up the wall, but hes better now, still not 100% but alot better.
Well Tommorow is Georges Christening, and i hope the weather stays nice, we have over 100 people coming, so i have a busy day today, picking up the cake etc, and getting the last bits, im nervous and i dont know why!! im hoping George isnt to grumpy too, well ladies i hope you all have a nice weekend and i will let you know how it all went xxxxx

there is more now, he has being saying me over her etc . . . he wants to work at it. but now has revealed something crazy, i have put it in girl sancturary. its just too bizzare to go in here xx

Kte - Can't access girl sanctuary as I have not posted enough comments but just wanted to say as I am not too far from you if you need anything don't hesitate to ask. Take care of you and Chloe!

Evening all,

Had a parents day at Chloe's nursery today, she got a glowing report. Said she is all smiles and the key workers in the next room are fighting over her when she moves up already! Not bad after two weeks the little charmer! I saw a painting she did too with her name on the wall :cloud9:

Kaites: Wow - Potty already! I'm freaked with weaning, thought there was a few years before figuring that one out - is she still doing it?

Colsy: Glad the BLW is going well. Well I know Chloe likes butternut squash as her korma poo was orange! Result!

LK: Sounds a fab weekend, hope your all having a good time and James's reflux has calmed down :flower:

Flora:  Welcome back MRS!!!!!! :happydance:

Maffie: TGI's can be so arsy sometimes I have found, hope you get a decent response from your letter!

Sam76: Sorry to hear George has been ill, hope everything goes well at the Christening :flower:

Chaos: Agreed thinking about what he has got and how we can sort out life again - family life! Its hard as we talk and we come to a conclusion then he says it could be X instead of Y. He said he hasn't cheated and he won't cheat, he has found some people to hang with as I am at work and he is alone, I have been saying for ages we need to make an effort when we have time and my mum would look after Chloe so we can have an evening off. We get 1 hr a night each week and that is it now, unless its Wed/Thurs as he is off Thurs/Fri. He could come for lunch on his day off, I can take up to 2 hrs. Anywhoo, we are taking a weeks space - but he is coming home after work to talk, just taking it from there really.

Huge thanks for everyones support, it really is appreciated! :flower: xx Nij and I have been thorough so many different stages and conversations, its just all work in progress. He seems to have a weird split personality at the moment. He is stopping at a B&B and we are chatting and trying to figure stuff out, who knows, just . . . well, lost for words really!

Kte - Goodness, as I say you're a lot more patient than I would be about the whole thing. I ope that you're bearing up ok and try to take some time to yourself in this whole thing. :hugs:

Sam - I hope Georg'es Christening is/was ok....I'm starting to plan Earl's at the moment (clothes, food etc) as we still don't know where we'll be, but we're looking at doing it sometime in August. 100 people!!!! Blimey!! That's more than came to our wedding! lol....lucky chap....mercenary of me but that's a haul of clothes and toys for you lol. ope he's feeling better too...sorry to hear he's been ill.

Flora - Welcome back! I know it must have been stressful to get stuck, but what a place to get 'stuck' lol.....soooo jealous as we had out honeymoon in Florence and I would lurve to go back!!

Well, how goegeous was the weather yesterday!?! We went to Earl's cousin's 1st birthday party - BBQ and lots of alcohol but seeing as neither hubby nor I are particularly fond of alcohol at the moment (unless it's homebrew lol) we left at about 6 to get Earl home. It was gorgeous. we spent the day putting Earl on bouncy castles, swings, into baby ball pools and generally slapping sun cream on all 3 of us. I was so proud of him though as he ate everything that was put in front of him, polished off both the bottles at the correct times, slept at nap time (even with the music and general noise) and was actually sociable, played with other babies and went to uncles and aunts like a pro lol. Was pretty sad to see a couple of little-uns (younger and older than Earl) wandering around without hats, any form of shade or lotion on - there was even a 3 week old who was left in full sun for over half an hour and looked roasting, but you can't really say anything. Hubby and I felt a bit smug coming away because Earl was the only child with a full compliment of sun safety and he was also the only one wo wasn't showing the signs of sun-stroke by the end of the day  The clothes went down well, although she's still in 6-9s, and I'm used to buying big for Earl and bought 12-18s for her, and they'll probably fit next birthday! lol

Anyway, quiet day today, not a lot going on. Hubby is going to do some baking I think (yummers) and we're off for a walk and a picnic in the fields near where we live I think....should be nice.

Have a lovely day everyone - Enjoy the sunshine!

xx :flower:

HE says he isn't happy and that being with othes and the thrill of the chase etc makes him more happy, so basically his head wants me and his 'body' doesn't and being a bit of a twat, is following his you know what.

Thrill of the chase?! What is he, fking 15? He has a KID!!! I think he's more afraid of actual commitment and what it means (Ie growing up and being an adult) vs being unsure. He needs to stop thinking with his cock and of him self and think about you and that beautiful baby girl. Better off with out.
Chica, you deserve better, and I hope he reads this. >:(

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

you pretty much just wrote what I was gonna put, lol.

Yawn!

Morning ladies, I'm shattered! Earl decided that 2.30am was time to get up this morning and it took me 1.5 hours, and sleeping on a duvet on the floor to convince him otherwise! He's in great form but I feel like death. Add to that (TMI Warning) i'm having a very strange AF - I'm really swollen, no new blood, feel so sick and dizzy and really bad cramps that feel like contractions!!! Eurghhhh

Anyhoo, Earl is great - 6 months today and it's crazy. He seriously has just become a toddler. He has learned to bear weight on his feet, hold spherical objects and will answer your questions with an 'ughhhh' sound if he agrees! It's crackers - weights and measures to follow later.

Kaites - was going to ask. Did you buy just a standard potty or is there a specific one? I really think we're going to have to try the same thing as he will not do anything in a nappy at the moment. We have just swapped to active fit so I may try going back to baby dry for a couple of days to see if that makes a difference, but yesterday he turned so grumpy, hubby didn't have a clue, this went on for about 30 mins (Hubby will not admit defeat lol) so I went through to see what was going on and I could see Earl just wanted his nappy off. I told hubb y to come and watch (sounds dodgy but bear with me lol) so I took him upstairs, undid his nappy, instantly 'relieved' himself lol, and was giggling while I cleaned him up. Hubby couldn't beleive it!

We're also dropping bottles. Help on this would be really appreciated. He's only taking 7oz in one go now and will not take his morning bottle (11am) at all. I've decided to just follow his lead but if I do that he'll only be on 28oz a day (7am, 3pm, 7pm, 11pm) which while I know a lot of babies are on that as a standard lol but it's half what he has been known to take lol. Has anyone else's LO started to drop milk? How are you going to handle it? Follow on milk? Cow's milk? He's just growing up so fast lol.

Anyway, nearly time for the 1st nap of the day so time for me to go and catch up on some sleep before the onslaught of breakfast lol.

BLW going great now - I am really getting quite excited about it! Now tried asparagus, purple sprouting broccoli, pitta bread, jacket potato (without skin), apple, pear and carrot. Today it's lentils and spinach, although I'm not quite sure how Monty will get this into his mouth, as obviously all the other things were 'sticks' of food whereas this is a bit too mushy. We shall see.

Florabean, loved the wedding pics. You look very happy :-) So pleased to hear the honeymoon went well.

Kte, for some reason I can't get into the Girly Sanctuary (anybody understand how I am meant to join that bit? I've tried a few different times now over the past few months, but no go), so I don't know your full story, but I send you :hugs: and hope that you can get your head round stuff ASAP. Good luck!

Past few days have been a bit weird for me and OH. We're back to dealing with dodgy health issues again. All a bit up in the air so won't go on about it here at the moment, as I want to see what's going on first. I'm not really sure whether we're looking at something scary or whether this is just one of those things that goes away as soon as the doctor gives it a name. (Ever happen to you? You FINALLY make the effort to see somebody about a niggling symptom, and then once they do some tests you never get the symptom ever again? That's happened to me two or three times now re things that were beginning to really quite concern me, LOL.) Anyway, we should know a little more towards the end of this week - and touch wood it'll all be OK.

Monty coming along leaps and bounds. He rolled from his tummy to his back ... but he can't do the other way. Seems unusual - most babies do back to tummy first, LOL. That's my boy! He's constantly chattering away - ra-ra-ra-ra-ra-ra etc. Really loud sometimes. Oh, and he's rediscovered his shriek - it's soo loud that when we're out I have to say really loudly 'Oh, you're doing your happy scream', otherwise passersby might think he's in pain!

Went to carboot sale yesterday and bought him three new toys. He was really loving one of them, one of those wooden things that looks like a chemical structure, lots of wooden balls tied together with elastic ... I'd already cleaned it by pouring boiling water on it, but then I started to worry that maybe I shouldn't buy second-hand toys without knowing whether they're safe ... hmmm, what do you reckon?

thanks everyone; yes the honeymoon was lovely. we had one day of rain the whole time & high temps of 22 degrees C, lows of 16ish, so it was perfect for me & my crappy pale skin, lol. It was too cold to swim in the pool (not the weather being cold, the water was) so we just laid on the sun loungers, which Harry liked. He also got a lot more adventurous with food while we were out there & just seems more confident in h8imself, iykwim? We went to Volterra, Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena, Firenze (Florence), Chianti, Cessina & lots of random drives on twisty mountain roads just watching the world pass by. :) Would defo recommend James Villa holidays as a company- they gave us the villa for free while we were 'stuck' out there for an extra 6 days & rearranged our flights too. (still cost a fortune what with that second week of food, nappies, washing, car hire, petrol etc).

Harry has suddenly become more developed in the last couple of weeks too. After stagnancy at 5mths of not really doing anything, he can now roll ver both ways, sit up for 2-3 minutes at a time, loves bouncing up n down, can shuffle backwards on his tummy, babbles 'dadadada' constantly, laughs at random things, manipulates objects really easily, throws them, then tries to get to them again, is so much better at feeding himself n not gAGGING, is able to settle himself back to sleep a lil bit better, and is desperately trying to figure out how to crawl, but instead looks like a sky diver having an epileptic fit!!!!!!

sam- hope george has/had a great christening! :)

Afternoon all

Fleur lovely pictures

Colsy I buy second hand toys. They play with used toys at baby groups

Aimee hope AF settles down a bit for you

You hear that? .. that sweet sound of nothing?? My house is calm and tidy! We've had troubles with Autumn sleeping the last two weeks (since they came) and last night she slept right thru and didn't stir once! Such a happy baby this morning :)

She's also got 2 teeth now!!
https://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i260/ChaoticOtter/Forum%20uploads/Teeth.jpg

I gotta take the hubby to my Chiropractor this morning. He lent down to pet the cat the other day and put his back right on out. He can hardly move now. I was like .. "welcome to my world when I was pregnant" lol.

I don't think there's any real way I can catch up on two weeks worth of posts, so I'll just start from today. If anyone can give me a digest of the last two weeks, that'd be great!! ;)

On a side note, it hit me today that on Thursday, Autumn is going to be SEVEN MONTHS. Holy crap!!! When did that happen?! She's desperately trying to crawl forward. She can go backwards at a great rate of knots!! I have a feeling that she might be a shuffle butt vs crawling, as when she's sitting up she keeps trying to rock/shuffle fwd.

Aimee ~ Sorry you had a rough night with lil man and AF is being a wench! I just started a new pill and my period is all over the fricking shop. I've got my 3rd one this month! Insane! Hope you feel better!!

Happy 6 month Earl!!

Re dropping milk, hmm nope Autumn still likes her bottles. She has 8oz first thing (with one oz of that mixed with porridge). 4oz snack about 10am. 6oz and a fruit about 1230. 4oz snack about 3 then 6oz and a veg about 530/6. She LOVES her bottle lol. Re cows milk, I might just check with your Dr about giving it, I'm not sure if you're supposed to give it before a year because of allergies?

Colsy ~ Glad the BLW is going well. Hope you and the DH feel better soon.

Flora ~ FAB wedding pics. You look beautiful!

Ok taking the poor wounded soul to the chiro! Have a fab day ladies.

Forgot to add ~ Colsy .. 99% of Autumns toys are 2nd hand. I refuse to buy new when they grow out of them so quickly.

If it's plastic toys I wash them in warm soapy water then soak them in a bleach solution (If you go to www.clorox.com it gives you a bleach to water ratio) I think its one tablespoon to 1 gallon of water.

If it's fabric toys I put them on a hot wash in the washing machine.

For things like her Jumparoo, I took the music part off, bleached it with in an inch of it's life and hosed it down outside!

How do you NOT argue with OH in front of baby? I mean, if you 'need' (I know nobody needs to argue, but I can't think of a better word) to have an argument, how do you stop yourself doing so while baby is in the room? I know rowing in front of baby is not A Good Thing (I am the child of very unhappily divorced parents, so I should know this only too well) but when the argument comes up there and then, how to deal with it?

Sorry, I am thinking aloud here. Today has been a bit c***. It started off great, went a bit iffy and ended up sh***y. Wonder what this afternoon will bring? Got lots going on in my head at the mo re OH. I don't think I'm the only one who's got OH issues at the minute. My issues are not like Kte's though. In fact, I would find it hard to write down what my issues are if anybody actually asked me to be specific. Anyway, here I go again, writing as I think, babbling on about nothing in particular LOL. I think some hormones are kicking about at the moment!

Monty had a great lunch - sucked for ages on his pear after his spinach and lentils. :-)

Afternoon all,

Colsy: It's gotten totally crazy so I can't really type it in here, I really should write a book and make something off of it! My Mum came for a chat today and I'm feeling much more positive about it all. Sorry to hear about all the illnesses, hope everything turns out okay :flower: and that the week doesn't drag so you get your answers.

I picked up a few stuff from the car boot too and blitzed them with milton. So long as you inspect it first it should be fine . . and the price you pick them up at you could always do an internet search to doubly make sure?

Aimee: :happydance: HAPPY 6 MONTHS EARL :happydance: Where on earth has the last 6 months gone? Does anyone else feel like they just blinked?!? I am amazed at Earls bowl movements! Chloe's character has definitely blossomed little madam, although still nothing on the movement front but she sits up for ages really well. She loves balls, I am amazed as she picks them up in one hand, its like me holding a grapefruit or something.

Im not sure about follow on milk, I think cows milk is from 12 months iirc. Its just the formula I buy says up to 12 months so why did they bring out a 6 months follow on milk? Plus what with weaning they are getting some extra nutrition from these. Its like the C&G one with extra iron, if you LO is getting iron through the right foods they don't need it and it could actually be less beneficial to over pack in the nutrients etc . . .(my friend is studying nutrition and has said this after I asked he about it). I'm still undecided, plus I am not even sure if I should switch Chloe onto a different milk whilst weaning or keep her on hungry baby or switch to a thinner formula :shrugg:
Hope you feel better soon :hugs:

Chaos: Hope your OH is okay :flower:

Monty had a great lunch - sucked for ages on his pear after his spinach and lentils. :-)

Colsy: Its not easy, TBH we did in front of Chloe which isn't good. Although when she seemed distressed by us we just kind of had to debate rather than full blown screaming, which is usually me if I get wound up . . . yes I have patience but I am also a fiery red head when the time comes, can shock an awful lot of people! Maybe wait until Monty is asleep to raise your issues? My parents didn't really argue in front of us, my Mum got mad but my Dad used to just say "now's not the time" and they would take it elsewhere.

Colsy I refuse to argue in front of the kids, OH shouted in front of Noah and he looked scared. When Noah was in bed he got told exactly what I thought and it was never to happen again. I think you can be stern and to the point without arguing.

I wash second hand fabric items I buy with napisan and hard items get dettoled and miltoned.

Aimee im hoping to BF until after 12 months but if I wasn't i'd be looking at formula or follow on milk rather than cows/goats milk etc.

I noticed the other day they now make a formula with cereal in (not seen that before)

Ive started letting Noah have lunch for the last 2 days (we were just on breakfast and dinner before) I had a P for lunch he had a baked SP he loved sharing off mummy's plate

Good morning ladies!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend :) Ours was another quiet one. I went to my parents for a BBQ on Saturday and yesterday was spent grocery shopping and just chilling in the back garden. My parents have officially gone insane- they bought a car seat for Emma for in their car  I was a little annoyed but hubby pointed out that the more they take Emma out for little outings, we may have more of a chance for some romance. Poor guy even went on to suggest that we should go on a vacation this winter with my parents so that they can watch Emma occasionally and we can have some alone time- must be getting desperate if he's suggesting holidays with his in-laws :haha:

Aimee- Happy 6 mths Earl!! That's funny that he's going through a diaper rebellion too :) We went with the cheapest potty I could find, lol :) It's the Bright Stars potty from Walmart so maybe Asda has the same  I know the Baby Bjorn Little Potty is really popular on EC websites but it would be way too small for Emma judging by peoples pics of their LOs. My only complaint with the Bright Stars one is that it has a removable centre- good for emptying it but after Emma's been sitting there a while, the lip of it sticks to her bum when I stand her up :haha: I have to be really careful when I get her off the potty. Ikea does a really cheap one (like $3) but our Ikea doesn't carry it but it looks pretty good too. So far we've only missed one poo since getting the potty and that was when I was in the shower and hubby was playing with her. It's worked out really well so far- she loves being without a diaper and playing with toys so to her this potty thing is pretty awesome :) Hope you are feeling better :hugs:

Kte- I read your post in the GS and wtf?!?!?! You could seriously write a book- I'd be confused as hell too since that seems like it came out of left field :hugs:

Flora- lovely pics of your special day. That's awesome that you have so many great picture of the 3 of you together!

Sam- hope George's christening went well and that he's feeling better soon :hugs:

Colsy- hope all is okay with OH :hugs: I hope your day improves too. We haven't argued in front of Emma yet but I think I'd probably just try to stop it with reminding him that Emma is around since his parents used to argue in front of him all the time  As for the toys, like the others suggested, I'd probably just give them a good cleaning and make sure they look like they are in good shape.

Chaos- Cute pic of Miss Autumn, as always :) How'd she enjoy Florida? Hope your hubby's back is feeling a bit better after the chiro visit!

I've got a very grumpy girl today- I sneezed, startling her, launching her into 5 min of tears. I think it might be a bit of teething discomfort but I really hope the rest of the day isn't like this. Emma has also decided to add a 2:30 am feed now that she's in her own room- argh, kinda defeats the purpose of her being in her own room if I have to go fetch her more often now :dohh: I usually give into sleep and let her stay in the bed though. Right, Grumpster is tired of her exersaucer so I better get going. :hugs: to those that need them...

Evening ladies. Sorry I wasn't on much over the weekend but spent it with OH which was lovely. Him and James are just plain adorable together and he even got up to feed him at 6.30am! Started my new job today which was great. Really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back tomorrow lol. It was so nice to be home at 5.30pm lol.

Kte - I will go have a look in GS...

Flora - glad the wedding and honeymoon went well. I am going to look at your pics once I have fed and bathed James.

Well James has now mastered getting onto his hands and knees. Will try to upload a pic later. He is such a cheeky little monkey. He shouts at me, and is learning to growl which I have to admit I do find quite funny. I can't remember who was doing the 'No hands' but I am trying it with James cos he constantly tries to ram his fists in his mouth when I am feeding him. So far it has worked to the point where he now grabs his feet instead so so far so good. I am having to be so vigilant now cos he can get around so well that if I am using the laptop or charging my phone he gets over and tries to chew the wire. I tell him no and move him away but he goes straight back so usually ends up being put in his travel cot for a baby 'time out' with some toys. Just gives me a few minutes peace of mind knowing he isn't getting into trouble lol. He spent today with my sister while I was at work and went swimming with them. He was sound asleep when I got home! Hes had a bottle and is playing on the floor for a few minutes and then he needs his tea.
