Hi girls! Sorry I've not been on for a few days but been superbly busy with work and study days. Don't have time to catch up with everything this evening so sorry for that. Things are going pretty good atm. I'm loving the new job, and things with me and OH are going great. Very much in love lol.

Update on James - he has figured out how to drag himself forward with his arms! Mostly still going backwards but he has definitely mastered getting up on his hands and knees and doing the whole springer spaniel bouncing lol. Won't be long before he is properly crawling.

LK- that's great about james, he really sounds like he's on his way. And gla to hear things with the new man are going well toob :)

Kaites- Happy 7mths for Emma. It's weird to think 7mths have gone by! I cant believe how fast these bubbas are growing & devleoping & learning; it amazes me everyday how cool & new & inspiring they are. :)

Q: anyone know if there are any hayfever meds you can takle while BFing? I am really suffering :(

I think you can take Piriton. I had to take it when I was pregnant so Im sure it will be fine. Just check the instructions.

Scrap that, just read Piriton advice and it says avoid in breastfeeding mothers. Try your pharmacy hun x

Happy 7mths to Harry too :happydance:

It's cool how much personality they have developed in such a short time :)

Here's a list of meds on Kellymom:

fleur just sent this on fb too

thanks ladies- I just read them & my normal ones on prescription arent safe, other than my nasonex nasal spray, but I can take a couple of the over the counter tablets, so that's a plus. It seems to have kicked in earlier this year :(

im lucky i dont suffer with it but a guy i work with does and he's really suffering too at the moment lol he'd kill me for saying it but he sounds like the elephant man some days

Ha, then that makes me the elephant woman- I sound terrible breathing like a crazed animal. I wouldn't mind, but I've been clawing at my eyes all day, constantly sneezing, sore lips now too & just feel knackered as if each sneeze takes half my energy away... then factor in that the worse the hayfever gets, the worse my asthma gets & you get a very peed off Fleury!!!!! :dohh: still, other than that, life is good so I shouldnt really complain!

A natural thing they seem to do over here is eat a spoonful of local honey daily, because it contains the local pollens that make hayfever rear its ugly head. Its not an instant cure, but it works by exposure.

I heard that too, but wasn't sure if it was true. I like honey on toast, so maybe i will try buying a more local brand. Must be someone local who keeps bees I reckon?

Flora- yeah buy local as that will be made from the pollen you are being exposed and setting you off, its better than just general honey :flower:

I think it has to be honey within 10 miles of your location. And raw honey!

:flower: Thanks to all that replied to my Qs! Sounds like theyre all pretty much the same, think I will see about giving Theo more water/juice at meal times and through out the day to see if it softens his poo's a little! & wow at 36oz of milk, who ever that was (:dohh:), I don't think Theo has ever taken that much lol!! He has about 14oz a day now if we are lucky  , I give him yoghurts though and apparently they are worth 2oz of milk, so he probs has more like 18oz a day...which is close enough to 20oz so i'm happy with that I guess! Hes on the follow on milk now, think that has more iron etc so hes gettin what he needs in the little amount he drinks hopefully!

Ooops rambled on abit there, i'm tired :coffee:!

Been to the Asda baby event today, anyone else been? I got a birth-4 yrs carseat for Theo, i'm soooo impressed with it! Its black and red, rear and forward facing and looks quite comfy, not bad for £20! Will let you know what Theo thinks tomorrow .

Right I better get myself off to bed, have to be up to take OH to work @ 7am, as I want the car tomorrow! :coffee:

Morning everyone.....

Well I went to bed at 11 as I couldn't keep my eyes open expecting to miss out on the result of who will be running the country - How wrong was I?! At least the reds are not in the lead.

Earl woke at 8pm (like he has been doing the past few nights). We didn't get up, instead just put him straight back down. Controlled drying worked in 25 mins, with 16 mins of crying, so better than the night before (48mins with 33 mins of crying) and bonus ball he woke at 2.30 for a feed then slept in until 6.30!!

Mellie - that was me! Earl is a gannet! He's on 30-36 (actually he forgot about his 4pm bottle yesterday so I'm hoping that's going now which will mean he'll be on 25-30oz instead. He has 1 yoghurt a day too - I had heard they were 2oz of milk but I don't count them otherwise it looks like he's constantly eating (which to be fair, he is! lol).

Fleur- re: honey, if you go to your local famer's market there's bound to be someone there, or if you have a farm shop nearby. Our neighbour keeps bees (we walk everyday to see the bees lol) and he's always trying to palm honey off on people! lol Hope your hayfever is ok though - hopefully it'll burn itself out. Apparently because of the cold and long winter the plants have gone a bit nuts trying to get re-produced before it gets cold again lol.

Best be off - getting shouted at. I think someone wants his weetabix! lol

we got that car seat for sam he loves it cos he can look around and see more. when i tested him in it in the house he happily stayed in it for about half an hour lol

I really need to get our car seat sorted. I'm waiting on the last of my Mat pay in order to afford it though as the only one that fits in our car is the tobi and even with last years model, you're still looking at over £100 for it .

I can't wait for Earl to go forward facing....we've got another 2 months until we safely can, hopefully we'll have the seat and he'll be old enough when we go on hols. I'd hate him to do the 300mile trip to cornwall crammed into his infant carrier lol. :baby:

Hmmm whats the law on forward facing back home? Here they have to be rear facing for 1 year ( poss changing to 2) or I think under 22lbs. :( I think she gets bored facing the back!

i believe you can go forward facing once they're over 9kg??? not sure tbh tho! harry's still got tons of room in his, so we havent looked at the next stage yet. oh gets his new car mid june with built in isofix thingies, so i guess we'll start looking after then.

my sis says there's a house in my village that has a honey for sale sign outside the drive that she went past on the bus, so my mission tomorrow is to hunt it down, lol!

I have 3 at the moment so I will have to sell at least 2 of them together to be able to afford the next one up! Can't really sell all 3 when she needs 1!

Law wise, I think its 9 months or a certain weight but I can't remeber the weight!

Flora I got isofix and I do not understand it at all! It don't even know if I am using it or not. I thought there would be some kind of prongs to attach to the car but nothing
