Good morning ladies!

This morning we had Emma's 9mth check up. She's 30.5" long and weighs 26.5lbs- insane!!

Holy shit! That's EIGHT lbs and 2 inches more than Autumn!! Emma's gonna be TALL! I thought my arms ached after holding Autumn lol.

Evening ladies.

Feeling full on 2x fried eggs and 2 x waffles! (hmm and maybe the packed of chepo jaffa cakes I just scoffed). I need to get this freak eating thing under control! 4 x jam biscuits, half a slice of a choc cake left from someone's birthday cake at work with 1x smartie lol, 2x tuna sandwiches, 1 x fromage frais . . . .hmmm. Thats it. I'm just not eating properly at the right times am I. I never have enough time for breakfast but if I eat or not I am scratching at my desk trying to put off eating until 12. Im hungry at 11! I drink water as it's free at work so I just don't know! Mind you, I did at least an hours worth of walking today and part of that was uphill!

Well todays commute home was . . . interesting. There was an accident on the ring road so I decided to walk up to the nursery as the ring road was hardly moving. On the way back down, thankfully just as I was in town Chloe's pram wheel decided it wanted to come off! So I had to wait for the free bus to take me to the bus station which was delayed due to the earlier accident. I was making good time walking both ways as well. When we got to town I asked Nij to collect us as I didn't fancy a walk up the hill with 3 wheels! I didn't ditch the pram as wanted to see if Nij being mechanically minded could fix the thing as the Silvercross was being an ass this morning as per! Why and I cursed with prams?! So fingers crossed the superglue works! Seriously!

Chloe had yet another great day at nursery and she was a gem all the way home, I love cute oblivious chatty mode when she is sat on the bus :cloud9:

Noah has cut a tooth, it's only the point but I can see the pearly white :happydance: explains his grumpy biting mood.

Kte my eating has been terrible, all I want his crap at the moment (no wonder ive gained a couple of pounds this pregnancy already opppps :haha:

lol :) yep, my girl is... ahem, "sturdy" :winkwink: hubby and I are both tall so I guess she comes by it honestly. At least it's making my arms look nice and toned- now only if my tummy could reap some of the benefits :haha:

Kte- hope Nij can fix your stroller- i think I would have ditched it out of frustration! Hope tomorrow's commute is smoother :flower:

Maffie- yayyyy for a tooth! :happydance:

Glad to hear I'm not the only one enjoying lots of junk food these days. I've become a peanut butter addict. Not necessarily a junk food, I just probably should be consuming it in such large quanities  My mum took a bunch of piccies of Emma swimming at the beach this aft and I made the mistake of wearing a bikini thinking it'd be good access for BFing (and I'm too tall for most one-piece suits to be comfy anyways)- eek, way too much wobbly flesh hanging out in the piccies- thankfully it was a secluded beach on an island so I wasn't flashing flab for the masses! I hate the gym but I should probably put down the peanut butter and go workout sometime:blush:

From her pictures you'd never guess she was 26lbs! She looks no bigger than Autumn!

Addicted to PN butter huh? Not preggie are we? :)

lol- not a chance! Maybe in the new year we'll TTC- but even then, hubby is having a hard time wrapping his head around the idea of another LO in the house anytime soon :)

I think hubby got his first intentional "Dada" tonight- she's been babbling dada for a while now but she went over to him and pulled herself up on him, looked at him and said "dada". If she repeats it, then I'll know it wasn't just a fluke! I'm a little jealous- I want a "mama" :hissy:

Anyway, hope everyone's LOs have a good night :hugs:

Morning all, well I was up quite a bit in night with indigestion and loo trips :haha: Noah slept through from just after 8pm until 6.30am

He's full of cold today but still seems happy.

I must measure Noah he seems tall, which is surprising seen as i'm a shortie.

Morning all,

Maffie: :happydance: Hurray for Noah's tooth!

Kaites: Part of me wanted to ditch but I was hoping it could be fixed. So it was worth a mini struggle home with it, I just used the front two wheels to get on and off of the busses. I have taken the Silvercross out today (won the wrestiling match this time) and will take the other out for a test run around the park near our home to see if it has worked.

I'd like the words a 'mama' too! Seems like every other word but :haha: Mind you, she might not say it but I know when she wants me!

I'm looking forawrd to the 22nd for Chloe's 7-9 month check, hope they weigh and measure her etc as well as looking at development signs. Shame I will be at work but hey ho. Need to win a lottery of some sorts!

It was odd last night, Chloe started to cry about 8.30 so I went in to see her, normally she is on all fours but this time there she was - sat up! I have never actually seen her sit herself up but she must of done it last night!

Oh my, Monty slept all the way til 5am  Then into bed with us for a BF, then fell asleep again til 7am. Way to go, boy - let's stick with this routine please :happydance:

Anybody noticed all of a sudden that their baby is needing to go to bed later in the evening than previously? For months Monty always got really grizzly from about 5.30pm, but we'd try to hold out til about 6.30pm before putting him to bed, otherwise we thought it was just far too early. Suddenly, like the past week or so, he isn't showing any tired signs til gone 7pm, sometimes more like 7.30pm or even 8pm. We're not trying to fight this - so long as he's happy while he's up, then we don't mind up being up longer. Plus you never know, maybe this is what led to last night's wonder-sleep. The downside is that previously we cooked our tea once Monty had gone to bed, but obviously if he's going later then we'll need to cook while he's still up, which isn't quite so easy.

My friend just emailed to ask what sort of cake she should make to bring round tomorrow when she visits. I'm thinking, hold on, you've got a baby just three weeks younger than Monty and you can make cakes during the day? Eh?! Guess her baby is less demanding!

Colsy - I didn't have a problem with him eating sand. I think he was just too taken with everything going on. He does have a dummy though and that stops him from mouthing everything all the time so maybe that helped. He loved the water too and kept sticking out his tongue to lick the salt off his lips. We have some very funny home video!! lol

I'm very proud of myself for actually swimming in the sea. It's not a major thing but considering `i couldn't even go paddling this time 4 years ago I think I've done pretty well, thanks mainly to my wonderful husband!

Kaites - Wow to Emma's weigh in too. Earl seems to have levelled off a bit and while he is still growing he's slimming off with all the crawling and activity he's up to now. I'm not sure what he weighs - in fact I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't lost a couple of oz's in the long run...he's still eating like a horse and is drinking an extra bottle at the moment so I know he's fine. I was looking at my baby book from when I was little and I weighed 27lb2 at 9 months! And I'm only 5ft4!

Hope everyone is having a good week. I'm a bit frazzled already - Earl is great but it's hard work trying to job hunt. We have no money at all til Thursday and I seem to have a huge appetite at the moment - sure it's comfort eating lol. Hopefully we'll be up and about next week once hubby's last pay packet comes in.Have a good day everyone xx

I could of written that myself! :haha:

Again, more good luck vibes for the job hunt :flower: Did you meet the museum person yet?

Corr I know that skint feeling no mat pay no child maintenance, least ive got ctc paid this week.

MS is doing my head in

Wrote a long post but lost it :dohh:

Kaites, wow, emma's like 9 1/2 lbs heavier than Harry, lol. Like Chaos said, she doesn't look big in any of her pics, so she must be very well proportioned :)

Aimee- really hope you find a new job soon. the beach trip sounds great. harry just tries to mouth everything he can pick up- which can be pretty gross at time :dohh:

Maffie- congrats to Noah on the first tooth. still no signs of any for harry, though we can see the lumps of each tooth under the gum, but no signs of them cutting yet- no dribbling or anything.

We finally got round to lowering Harry's cot- We put it right down to the bottom setting, thinking it'll save us doing it again in another coupl of months. downside is that I hurt my back (again) putting him down earlier coz it was too low for me to reach properly! :dohh: Oh well, he seems to actually prefer it as when he pulls himself up, he tries to shove his head through the bars & looks like a little bear cub in a cage & just bounces up n down yelling 'mumumumumum.'

anyone noticed their LOs saying certain things for certain consequences? For Harry, if he's happy it's all 'dadada' & when he wants somehting it's 'mum-mum-mum' & when he's frustrated it's 'nananana.' and everything else is just random sounds strung together when he's chatting to his toys or something.

Colsy, yep, harry's been almost impossible to get to sleep now before 9pm & has also started waking up at 4am for the past 2 nights, seemingly ravenous, so I think maybe we're heading into another growth or developmental spurt... sigh.

anyways, better go get dinner started. I too am addicted to junk these days, lol. Had Pizza Hut (I dont eat pizza, but I love their sides & pasta dishes) last night :)

Hmmm, we went to Messy Play this afternoon. First stop, the sandpit ... he ate the sand. Second stop, the cornflour pit ... he ate the cornflour. Next stop, the painting area ... he cried big time while I painted his hand blue to do his first ever handprint (ever so cute ). Final stop, the water table to wash everything else off ... and golly, did he get soaked.

Does anybody else get slightly tired of their baby eating everything? I know it's completely normal and I know he'll grow out of it, but I really want him to start playing with things for what they really are, rather than chewing the living daylights out of 'em. Like his tambourine for instance. And his shape sorter. And his xylophone.

Here's a Q for all you mummies with baby boys. Do you think they're noticeably rougher than the girls you know of a similar age? Monty just seems such a stereotypical boy, bashing the hell out of all and sundry, grabbing, throwing, and generally being quite violent (unintentionally, I should add!). Whereas the little girls I know just sit there, all cute and smiling, butter wouldn't melt, etc. Is it a boy thing? Or is it just that some babies, regardless of whether they're boys or girls, are just more - ahem -'active' than others?

Got friends coming tomorrow (both with little girls, to reinforce my opinions mentioned above!) - ah you know this already, this is the cake-making lass who's coming over. Then Thur is yoga. And then Fri I'm kind of hoping to pop into Buxton for a quick coffee and walk with the NCT girls, although in theory I should actually be working.

And now I need to go and tidy up before OH gets back from pub and we sit down to watch that four-part thing on BBC1 at 9pm. Oooh, talking of telly, Kte, I never ever asked you - did you guess the ending to Ashes to Ashes, or was it a surprise to you? Right, really gotta go now.

Colsy, I think I have tomboy on my hands in that case, lol :) Emma is pretty rough with stuff (and people for that matter ) when she's playing. Oh and sand- Emma loves to eat sand :dohh: I can't wait til this whole putting everything in the mouth phase passes!

Aimee- I thought Emma hadn't gained anything either so Earl might surprise you if you weighed him. I think it's just a case of her getting taller and maybe replacing some of the fat with muscle  The kid spends the whole day crawling, hauling herself up on furniture to cruise and climbing the step to our sunken livingroom- that's gotta be developing some muscle :)

Gotta run- Emma just woke from her nap...

Morning all :flower:

Chloe wasn't as sleeply last night as she usually is but I put her to bed at just after 7.30 anyway and she seemed to drop off okay, don't want her to get into the habbit of going later to bed! I think it was more she was super impressed with herself as she has figured out she can go backwards, she has been doing this for a few days but she has actually realised she can do this now and can get around and discover things by doing it  :D

She was so excited at nursery today as they had the bubble machiene (sp) on, such huge eyes! No problems leaving Mummy today! :haha:

Maffie: I'm with you on the skint-ness, hence superglue and pram wheel :haha: I'm selling odd bits and bobs and ebay but it's going slow. I asked for a CTC form, even though I won't get it next year though we may as well apply for this year, every little helps and all that. The pack still hasn't come through the post yet :growlmad: Lots of explitives regarding a certain idiot and no maintenance :hugs: Hope your MS isn't as bad today :flower:

Flora: Hope you back feels better soon :flower: Chloe sounds like she says 'yes' a lot but I think that is purely a fluke! Dada as well, otherwise random noises or babbles. She usually gives a high pitched squeel if she is excited by something along with a certain hand / body movement.

Colsy: I think girls just pretend when they are out and about, seriously you should see Chloe behind closed doors with her toy hammer or her maracas! When we went to see Maffie and Noah she was sat there all innocent for a while. Then again, I think we are like Kaites with a little tomboy. Ooo as for Ashes to Ashes, it was a complete surprise! Darn, I have just relised that would of been a great birhtday present suggestion for me but too late now as I know Nij has already ordered my present :dohh: Ah well, I have a HMV voucher left over from Christmas so I can make a start :haha:

Chloe did seem so well behaved and well Noah he was almost as wriggly and active as ever :haha: He does love to bang objects together and loves clapping. Mum wants to get him big drum. He does cute and quiet when everyone is oohing and aahing over him. I must say though the number of people that come up and want to touch his hair surprises me.

Harry's a gentle one then- he likes to touch & stroke things- my mum says he's a touchy feely baby. He sometimes bashes toys together, but not hard or anything, just in a kinda 'what noise does this make' kinda way. That being said, he is VERY noisy/vocal (happy noises or frustrated noises generally) & very wriggley.
And yeah, Colsy, I feel ya on the eating everything. I have to vaccuume everyday now because he actually hunts down little bits of fluff n stuff on the carpets to play with & eat. And he likes to lick the stone tiles in the hallway, which are VERY grubby. I swear he's gonna get poisoned at some point the way he shoves everything in his mouth :dohh:

So, we had a meltdown here today. Was all ready to go to baby group & it was pissing down outside, so I put the rain cover on the push chair & Harry totally freaked out!!!! He was screaming & flailing about all over the place! I take the cover off, he stops... I put it back on, he's yelling & sobbing again. So I think, oh well, screw it, we'll stay in today & got him out & he was all happy again as if nothing had happened. So I guess other than the black binliners, he's afraid of the rain cover too??? My child is officially nuts. He then chased the vacuum cleaner around the lounge while I was cleaning & pulled himself up against the fish tank & was trying to drop a spoon in the lid which I's accidentally left off. I think we're definitely at that stage where I cannot leave him alone for a single second without him getting himself into trouble. Lordy lord!

 Hello all, gosh it's a bit quiet in here! Where are all you lovely ladies?!

Flora: Chloe can be quiet at times too, she has this 'E.T' finger she likes to prod things with! I am so glad its not just me who has to constantly vac bits off the carpet - where do they come from?!? Chloe does the same as Harry and tries to eat them all too :dohh: Lovely new avatar pic :flower:

Not much else to report really, nursery told me Chloe kept on getting stuck all over the place yesterday with her backwards adventures bless! Oooo and I got a classic 'asleep with bum in air' picture for the first time ever yesterday! :cloud9: :haha:
