I'm ebaying its very tedious.

Noah has between 10-12 hours at night then maybe a 30 minute morning nap and usually an hour in the afternoon. Although he skips the naps if loads of people about (He must think he'll miss whats happening :haha:)

I feel your pain, I was at that yesterday (ebay). Still have some more to put on but bagh it can wait!

Was going to sell my Silver Cross but missed out on a decent pram, started at 99p but someone else got it in the end. Then again, the Silver Cross suddenly started to behave lol So its in my good books again :)

I need to sell my pram and get a double, gosh more money. These babies are expensive.

Hi all! :flower:

Quick drop in - off out at 4:45 and still need to empty the dishwasher, load it back up again, wash the bottles and get the kids stuff ready for bed (pjs out for OH, he's useless! LOL)

Hope your all well, Maffie: Hows things with you, are you okay? :hugs:
Hows all our LOs?

We're good here, Theo is finally getting over his Broncholitus (We was in hospital a week last Wedsw with him  it was really scary), he still has his cough but other than that hes back to his cheeky old self! :cloud9:....
Took Theo to get his first pair of shoes yesterday at Clarks! He's 3.5 H and hes got a little pair of cruising shoes...theyre adorable, got a little dinosaur on them! He's very confused with these things we are putting on his feet  he loves to pull them off :dohh:....hopefully we will get there soon!

Been to church this morning for the first time, get the ball rolling for baptism for my 2, hopefully we will be able to get Grace christened in time before she goes to school ....I can't wait, seen some gorgeous little outfits that I could put them both in!

As for me, i've been back at work for about a month now, I hate it , missing my babies so much, looking forward to college in Sept tho and hopefully will have alot more time with my babies :happydance:.

Anyway going to have to dash, off to a friends for tea, yum yum!
Hope your all well & are having a good weekend! :flower::kiss:

Maffie: Hope you get a good deal, my sales are just flopping at the moment, usual story of what ever I want other prople bid on but selling my stuff at 99p a time - typical! On the plus side, I have seen a lot of prams sell for £100 when they are £80 brand new in the shops - go figure! Good luck :flower:

Mellie: Sorry to hear Theo was ill but glad he is on the mend :D Enjoy tonight. How did the eye stuff go? Can't remember if you were having the op or going to check it out?!? :flower:

Hey Kte

Never had the eye surgery :( they reviewed my situation but said that my eye sight is too poor & it would be a big risk, incase something went wrong etc...so they basically said they wouldn't do it, even if I wanted it? Booooh....contact lenses it is for me! Ohh welll :) not the end of the world I guess!!

Hows you, Nij & Chloe doing? Chloe still enjoying nursery?

Any of you done any long journeys yet with baby? I'm after some travel tips ... https://www.babyandbump.com/baby-club/373607-tips-managing-long-car-journey.html#post6177546

Morning all,

Just having a :coffee:

Mellie: That's a shame, I'm quite surprised they said your eyes were that bad. At least you have contacts as an option, if I were told I was never allowed to wear them again I would cry! We are all fine thanks :D Chloe loves nursery still, she still gets excited when she realises where she is bless. How are Grace and Theo getting on with the childminder?

Colsy: We drove down to Bridgewater and back in a day so I guess you can class that as a long journey! Will pop something in your post :flower:

Morning all

I rarely wear my glasses but like them (hate the thought of contacts)

How are you finding work Mellie?

Noah is cutting more teeth, but its making him struggle to eat solids, did anyone else experience this?

Monty has six - SIX! - teeth coming through (the top middle four and then the bottom two either side of the middle ones that he already has) and he is very hit and miss with his feeding at the mo. He struggles to BF off the right side, presumably because it hurts his gum. And with solids he'll be quite picky, which he hasn't been until now.

On the subject of teething, the gum at the top is almost blue-black and swollen where the tooth is coming through. Is this OK or would you go to the dr? When his bottom teeth came through it was all so much less traumatic that we barely even noticed it happening.

Noah's still cutting his first 2 or 3 and his gums are very red and swollen. he's BFing well when he does feed but it seems alot less than normal) but actual food is passion for it just seems to of vanished.

Ive no idea on the bruising colsy, id think its quite possible to bruise as the gums are suffering quite a trauma with the teeth pushing through.

I'm Miss Query this morning. If you use a travel highchair, check out my post here if you've got a minute https://www.babyandbump.com/baby-cl...hchair-cloth-folding-plastic.html#post6179658 Ta!

Morning all, just a quickie before I bob out to an interview with an agency - oh the joys! Was doing typing tests at 9pm last night

Colsy - We used to regularly do 4hrs to the MILs and Earl was fine on those journeys. If we could we would time the start of the journey for when Earl needed a nap so that was the first hour or so, we'd stop roughly half way for something to eat and drink. We'd make sure that he had a toy dangling off the back of the seat to play with (at the moment it's his Lamaze cat but I think we need something older for him soon) and usually he'd drift off again on the second leg. Either that or we'd time it for after hs tea so he'd be pretty much ready for bed and sleep the entire way! lol

We've had an exciting few days - Earl is now cruising the furniture - in true Earl 'Zoolander' Fleming style though he can only walk right. To go left he drops down to his knees and crawls. :haha: He's also clapping and he rubs his hands together to get crumbs off.

Ooh we also have a travel highchair that we use as our main highchair. It's a folding plastic one. Tbh, we'll probably invest in a cloth one to take out with us soon rather than takng the chair as it can be a bit fiddly at times and is quite big. They're very handy though as they double as a booster seat for later.

That's about it really.....best be off. I hope everyone is ok. I'm not being very good at keeping up lately. Not as much time as I used to have......or is it that I'm just filling my time more constructively now that people are with me 24hrs! Who knows....either way - hope we're all well. :flower:

We drove to Florida in April. It took us 10 hours. She was very good, just made sure we had loads of toys, we stopped every couple hours so she could get out her chair and stretch out a bit. We also left early in the AM at like 4, so she slept a good portion of it and we were there by afternoon so she could still have her proper bedtime routine.

Morning all

Ya, missy won't use a fork or spoon when a tooth is coming thru, she would rather chew on harder foods .. pretzels or something like that vs 'proper food'

Ya, with her top middle teeth, her gums when a dark purple before they cut.

We used a bumbo with the little table attachment.

Further Q re teething ... you know how they get a little white dot as the tooth pokes through the gum? Well Monty has got a few of these white dots, almost like he's got more than one row of teeth  Any ideas?

Autumn had a bunch of these white dots early on that we thought were teeth coming thru, but it was not, the paediatrician said they were little calcium deposits on the gum and will come off my them selves. Sure enough, it did.

Tried hard toast and he wasn't having any of it, he's managed a yoghurt. I think he found the cold soothing. He's occupying himself now by trying to climb over the playpen :haha: he's too short to do it though. He just dragged iggle piggle (it's quite big) to the edge and stood on it. He's a right cheeky one.

Good luck with the agency today Aimee

Can you still use your bumbo Chaos? Noah escapes his in seconds, even with the tray on he tries to uptip it :dohh:

Good luck Aimee :flower:

Maffie: I got rid of the 'bumboo' (had a bebe pod chair thingy) a while ago as she just wouldn't stay in it! I have upgraded her to the big people bath last night too, she was sat in her baby bath yesterday morning and tried to pull up on it and get out, it tipped over :dohh: So I decided not a good idea to use it again, especially filled with water! She has a little yellow seat to sit in the big bath now, keeps her in place!

Kte Noah loves the big bath although we dont use a seat in it has he likes swimming about in it. (I fill it right up sometimes) :haha: I bathed him in the sink the other day as he's turned himself into food Noah decided he'd wear his porridge

So how long are all the Bumpkins able to amuse themselves for these days? I am always surprised by how one day Monty will cry literally every time I place him out of my arms (whether on to the floor, the bed, the bath, the carseat, whatever), whereas other times I can put him in his cot or playpen or on the floor and he will amuse himself for almost half an hour. This amount of time is unusual - mostly it's about ten minutes max - but even so it's always handy when he'll let me cook dinner without yelling at me the whole time. Don't you find that hard, when you need to do something (like cook tea) but baby just cries the whole time? I know some people just don't seem to hear the noise, and other people will actually stop what they're doing rather than listen to it. Me ... I'm half and half these days ... I HATE listening to him cry but at the same time I know that some things have just got to be done, crying or not.

Not really sure what just prompted that question!

Aimee, hope the agency visit went well.

Maffie, hope you start to feel better soon. Did you feel bad with your last pg as well?

Are any of you going on hols this summer? Am surprised nobody's talked about hols and travels yet. Maybe we're all a bit shy of the idea of taking babies away. Or maybe we all got no money to go!
