I do manage to sleep in the day cos my brother and SIL have James for me atm. I get up around 5pm and then come round to bath James and put him to bed as well as have some time to play with him. Last night tonight thank god. 4 is pushing it for me. Especially now I have James. Its killing me to see him for a max of 2 hours a day :(

It must be awful just two hours, I hardly get much time on a work day but thankfully a bit more than that due to the commute. Hurray for it being last night shift. :flower:

Urgh discovered why I have back and stomach ache....finished my AF on Sunday and now I'm spotting again grrr.

Happy Saturday :happydance:

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! I had my pre-Valentine's date with hubby today- went out to lunch and then to a cupcake place for dessert and coffee. Emma is on the mend and had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa while we were out. She definitely knows that she's got them wound tightly around her little finger and I think she ate nothing but animal cracker cookies all afternoon

Flora- Glad to hear Harry enjoyed creche a bit more today :flower: It's hard seeing them upset when you leave.

LK- I hope the last shift goes quickly so that you can get back to enjoying more James-time :flower:

Fraggles- Hmmm poached eggs on toast- I think I know what I'm going to eat for dinner now, lol :) Glad to hear the kiddies let you catch a nap this aft!

Aimee- I have another long torso'd kid- it's so frustrating finding vests that fit! I've given up and just layer t-shirts with her other shirts.

Kte- Hope you are enjoying your quality Chloe-time :flower:

Colsy- Hope everything is okay with you and that you have a better weekend :hugs:

Hi All...

I'm gonna put off the potty training for a while; CC doesn't want to sit on her potty... LOL She's still only really little though...

Been and seen the dr, gotta put a wee sample in etc and get intouch with the midwife... But working it out LO would be a bumpkin for 2011... I think LO is beginning of October... Lucky for CC...

Hehehe at the moment she has the hair brush in one hand, DS's hair in the other and is hitting rather harshly on the head... All whilst laughing her head off...

I like her style!! :haha::thumbup:

I'm toying with the idea of getting Earl a potty as he's starting to take an interest, but I keep thinking that he can't do anything about it (i.e. take trousers down etc) so it would simply be an ornament for a few months yet lol. He's interested in the toilet though, and like to put tissue in it and flush it afterwards! lol :haha:

Emma can't pull her pants down either but she'll tap the toilet when she wants to sit on it or bring me her change pad when it's too late- I'm sure Earl will find a way to tell you when he's ready :) Emma is getting harder and harder to put a diaper on- she wants to be changed but then tries to get off the change table and cries when I put a fresh diaper on her- it's super annoying because she comes to me wanting to be changed at the slightest pee so it seems like I'm constantly changing/battling her :dohh: I'm torn because she's showing some signs of being ready for potty training but I still think in other ways she's a bit young.

I have just got one so its there, more if she has accidents sans-le nappy! I figured popping her over it rather than the mat it a good start, and the rest I will follow her lead with. She was really good last week about wanting to be changed, now she doesn't tell me again and its a nightmare, rolling and screaming again :dohh:

Hiya all, I havent been on here for the weekend due to being busy.

On Friday we went down to Birmingham for my hubby's appointment with the audiology, and stayed at his parents for the weekend. Sat I went out to Irthlingborough near Kettering/Wellingborough with a friend to visit my best friend and her 3 months old daughter who is also deaf. But I had a bleeding which was the old blood and it'd freak me out completely and wanted the day to be over and i can go back home and rest. So today, it is still there and I am still worried. So I am resting most of the evening really.

So how is your weekend ladies? Xxx

Hi girlies. Last night shift didn't go too badly. Absolutely exhausted though. Went food shopping this afternoon after a couple hours sleep so at least I now have food in my house. Done some housework too but majorly running out of steam.

Has anyone found their LO has changed completely what seems to be overnight?! James has always been a very laid back child (apart from when he was on normal formula) and pretty well behaved. Well today he is a little monster! He has thrown my wii on the floor again, thrown countless numbers of tantrums, scratched me, headbutted my brother, and pulled everything out of the cupboards! I don't know what has gotten into him. Wondering whether its due to the extra night. Normally he kinda ignores me for an hour after I finish but then is fine. Its driving me nutty. I can normally cope with anything he throws my way but I'm so tired and I'm having another AF just a week after the last so I'm emotional and hormonal and I just want to scream and cry at the same time :(

Hi girls, thanks for the weekend wishes. Feeling OK again now after a nice weekend. Friday was just crap, you know one of those days that's endlessly irritating and nothing works or goes right and there's tears and everything else. Anyway, Sat Monty and I had a lovely day together just the two of us as OH on a work course (should get him some more clients, so that's good). Monty walked loads and loads - probably the furthest he's gone so far, a good quarter of a mile in one go, along a really rocky path. Had lunch, saw ducks, etc etc. Today was the three of us - it's peed it down all day so we went to Kelham Island museum in town - really good, loads of noisy engines and steel-making things, plus a pretty-cool indoor play bit (only little, but good for little ones for 15 mins). Lunch out (AGAIN! I feel like I'm back to pre-baby days, the amount of times I eat out each week these days!) and then when we got home OH stayed in car while Monty slept and I began the spring cleaning - I did an entire room, only the shower room but it's a start, and I feel really pleased with myself. Right, gotta go, only came up here to print something but already been ages and poor OH prob wondering where I got to, as the printing was for him! May be on again tomorrow, if not later in the week xxx

Colsy glad your weekend picked up. Must admit I eat out more now I have 2 children than I did prebaby

Well I have one toddler who isnt himself. He has slept nearly all day as felt clammy hot but temp down to 35  i've had to wake him to eat/drink. He seems a little better this evening just had a bath and warming his milk for him.

Fraggles ~ Sounds like you're doing fantastic! Hope LO is ok... Maybe just his teeth or sommat, CC has funny sleep patterns and temps when her teeth are playing up... Currently have 3/4 coming through... poor thing...

Kte ~ Don't worry too much about the telling you when she needs changing, we all relapse now and then... I'm sure OH is turning into a teen again, keeps grunting like DS... May just bang their heads together before the weeks out...

Hope you all have a fantastic Valentines Day & Evening, mine's gonna be quiet OH is on nights again...

Oooo baby cries... Catch you all later

Nanaki: Hope the spotting has stoped and everything is okay :hugs:

LK: I get 'tested' by Chloe sometimes, she seems to be okay for a bit and then all of a sudden tries to push her limits again. Typical as I have had a stinking headache all weekend and this morning came down with some form of lurgi. Yesterday we were playing nicely then she hit me, so I told her it's not nice and if she does it again Mummy will stop playing, she hit me again with a naughtiest face. Not impressed! I wouldn't take it too persoanlly that James is acting out against you, soulds like if he was at your brother he was just in a naughty mood and acting up. Its horrible when they do though :hugs:

Colsy: Glad you had a good weekend after all :flower: The museum sounds interesting  Well done to Monty on all that walking!

Ugh I have lots more to say but work is very busy and we are a person down. At least my boss just brought in some milk, if there is only 1 of us we can't leave the office so I couldn't go get any. Feeling a tad stressed. Hopefully be back later on :flower:

Thanks Kte. I think it has stopped as the yellow CM has came back with a slight mixed with brown, I will hopefully pop to the doctor to see if I could see my midwife today.

The weekend I had not good.

I am at home on my own with my son for Valentine's day! He will be home about 5pm.

Hope everyone's day is well? Xxxx

Happy Valentine's Day ladies :)

I have another OH that won't be here for most of the day- girls night tonight with Emma instead  I have the daycare room decorated with red hearts- gotta make the most of the little celebrations to break up the monotony since I'm finding winter is really bad for staying motivated to find new activities/crafts/games for the kids.

Ended up playing outside and going for a walk to the park with Emma yesterday- she thought it was hilarious when hubby kicked a small boulder of snow out of the way of the sled so hubby and I ended up kicking the silly thing back and forth halfway to the park just to keep the laughter going. Emma recognized the park once it was in sight and then the pointing and excited, "this, this, this!!!" started. She also seems to recognize our house now too because on the way back she was looking to me and pointing at our house and babbling away.

LK- Emma can be a little monster at times now too- but only with me :dohh: It's like she knows that I'm the one to test limits with or something  I know most of the bad behaviour is frustration that she can't express what she wants- that actually gets me frustrated too because I know that she's not misbahaving to be naughty but because she doesn't know how to protest with words. Hard to reason with a 16 month old

Colsy- glad to hear your weekend was a good one :)

Fraggles- Hope N is feeling better :hugs:

eswift- I hope cc's teeth come through quickly!

Nanaki- I hope baby #2 is okay and doesn't give you anymore scares!

Kte- Hope you feel better and the rest of the day is stress-free :hugs:

Hope everyone is having a good day :hugs:

This is exactly what its like for me!

I have been pop to the surgery at half 11.30am to ask to see a Midwife and she booked me in at 1pm so I have 40 mins left and hope my son finished his lunch! X

Afternoon all. N is goo dat testing me. Sometimes I feel like crying. Although thats usually when im tired. Went and got his hair chopped off again today he wasn't impressed. I was booked in too but they were running an hour behind. Someone had booked 3 in at the same time with same hairdresser and J was wanting feeding so cancelled my appointment.

I actually forgot it was valentines day today until I got a lovely message saying Happy Valentines you know who this is from but didnt want you to feel unloved. Made me smile.

Cant remember what else I was going to write but ive just heard a nappy filling :dohh: Im sure they poo in unison :haha:

And breeth! Thankfully hit my morning deadlines so I can have some r&r whilst I eat my lunch  That's the thing about this office, its a busy one but bearable with 2 of us, if its down to 1 it's manic. Still, at least the day is moving quickly!

Kaites: The Valentines theme sounds nice :flower: We were given a card from Chloe last week. It amazes me how they get anything out of her, when I try crafty things it doesn't turn out half as well . . . but hey, we have fun and thats the main thing! I think I need a portfolio thing to store all of her collages and drawings already!

Hope all goes well at your appointment Nanaki :flower:

Fraggles: Hope N is feeling better, when Chloe had that odd virus her temp didn't measure up right, 34-35 degrees sometimes but she still felt warm. She was very sleepy too. It's good if he is getting the fluids in. I hope it passes soon for him :hugs:

Eswift: Hope Hubby manages something romantic even on nights :flower: I'm lucky as Nij has a differnt shift tomorrow so I may see him a bit longer tonight, then again, he was on 2am start so he will be  before you know it! :haha:

Well my Valentines day is as amusing as ever, I made a card for Nij yesterday whilst Chloe and I were having crafty fun (although Chloe prefered to sneek off to go and chew the large googily eyes :dohh:). I asked him today if he found the card and apparently he had put the shopping on it  It's still intact apparently. Funny, one huge brown couch with one little white card and he still missed it! :haha: I said to him at the start of the month lets forget it (today) but he has planned a nice meal which will be ready when Chloe and I get home from the bus journey so should be nice :D

Best go and make this soup! Plus, someone just dumped some money on my desk and I guess I need to figure out what I am supposed to do with it
