Well, it was an interesting trip to the doctors... The doctor is not convinced that it is food related and feels that it's post traumatic stress from the hospitalization experience at xmas. Part of me is super annoyed because she does have some eczema, the nightwaking with wind and what appears to be stomach pain BUT the other half of me is also sort of relieved that someone does recognize that the whole hospital ordeal was horrible for Emma too. There is definitely some merit to the PTSD theory- Emma immediately went into a complete terror freak-out the minute we walked through the office doors. So much so that she was actually running a temperature over over a 100^F within less than 5 minutes of being in the same room as the doctor. Our house is only a 5 min drive away and I took her temp as soon as we walked back in the door and she was back to being bang on normal. Either way, I'm keeping a food diary (already sort of do because of obsessive daycare menu planning, lol) so that I can see if there are some nights that are worse than others re: foods. Emma was in such a state that she couldn't get any jabs or bloodwork done (couldn't even weigh her for that matter) so we're back in 2 weeks time. Of course, if today was anything to go by, then we won't be accomplishing a whole lot then either.
I do feel like less of a shit parent though- the doctor recommended co-sleeping (already doing that) and said that she didn't think Emma was anemic anymore from seeing her and hearing about her development, etc. Hubby had actually read about the PTSD being a common thing with Kawaski Disease but we had never considered that it might be a possiblility because Emma's always been such a terrible sleeper.
Anyway, now I'm rambling so that's my cue to get off the computer Hope everyone is having a good evening
