Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

Evening ladies -

Milosmummy - I hope everything went well

Kaites - his nose is almost healed now. He just looks like he's got muck all over his nose permanently lol. The boy has been very clumsy recently. I think his legs have grown and he's going through a gangly stage! He's also been bumping his head more so he's obviously not aware of his added height either! :dohh:

Re: BH's - I don't get paid as standard for BH's so I have to choose whether or not to ask for them as holidays. I've not been paid for today so that I can take an extra paid day later on. I must say I like the extra day. We get less days off that the rest of Europe as it is. The economy and morale has been boosted by the day (even if we didn't get to have a BBQ :growlmad:) and generally I think it's a nice event - but then again i'm a royalist too so I think it's a definite day for celebration! (I know I'm in a minority in being a royalist so don't worry lol).

I'm feeling decidedly sorry for myself as I can feel AF coming and it hurts and I also have thrush for the first time in my entire life, and I'm having difficulty sitting down properly as the swelling is making my scar hurt like buggery! It's my scar from when I had Earl and it's only small but it's really hurting (like needles) and it's like that on occassions normally too....anyone else suffer with anything like that. I may need to book a Dr's appointment (yep, another one) and get it checked out as I'm worried it may not be normal.

well she's here! i posted my labor story in my pregnancy journal if anyone wants to read it :)

Milo's Mummy: Congratulations :flower: :happydance: Also, Happy 18 months to Milo :flower:

Aimee :hugs: Not sure on the tingily scar front sorry. I have had a visit from the thrush fairy in the past and that's not fun so this on top can't be nice. Cotton underwear and wear things like skirts and a nighty at night to help keep you cool to help reduce the swelling. :flower:

I did manage to watch the Royal Wedding, yesterday, we switched on at 10.50 and watched until they went to sit down after they had actually got married and said their vows. That was enough for me and I enjoyed it. I honestly don'y know how the press were able to make a full day of it but we didn't bother with any of the bumpf which made it enjoyable and memorable.

Went to a local market today, well the town centre road is shut off so as well as local shops there were market stalls all down the street. Chloe walked into town, around and then out again with only a few 'carry me' occasions so she did really well - she has been asleep for an hour now mind lol :cloud9:

MM ~ Congrats!! :)

Ekkk, gender scan in ONE hour! I'm so nervous I could throw up!!!

Chaos- I hope baby is cooperative! Enjoy :)

Milosmommy- Congrats on Ava's arrival!

Aimee- no experience with tingly scars either- I hope the thrush clears quickly for you :hugs:

Kte- Chloe sounds cute on her walk :flower:

Well, Emma just woke up- I could hear her singing to the cat upstairs for a while and now she's come downstairs so I better be off! Hope everyone has a great weekend :)

yup, today milo is 18 months! officially 1.5 yrs. they were just 1 day shy of being 18 months apart. lol

Congrats Milo's Mommy

And congrats on your little Girl Chaos

I managed to watch the start of the Royal Wedding and seen them get married, Kate's dress was nice but think her sister stole the limelight a bit?
I then went to Asda as kids wanted to make rice krispie cakes with there easter eggs, didn't realise it was Sunday service tho which was bit of a pain! Asda was really busy people must of had the same idea as me.
The people on corner of our street had a party and the kids there was running riot everywhere, they was throwing food all over the street. The parents sat there drinking! They ran all over my dad's flowers and killed them, Kept kicking ball against my garage when kids was asleep. I felt like going out but already had trouble with them before calling my dd a racist name.:growlmad:
I start to diet today and I'm using the wii fit again, I lost so much weight before xmas and then put back on again. I'm only 9stone but want to get back to around 8 and half stone.
Hope you all have a nice long weekend x

Congratulations on the pink bump Chaos!

Hubby's response was 'wow that will be a pink house for a few years' lol.

Thanks for the well wishes kaites and Kte - I think it's clearing up now but the scar is still a bit tender. Will book an appointment for when AF has gone.

Ladies we're officially TTC!! :happydance:

Hi ladies. Wow alots happened while I've been away.

Milosmummy - congrats on the birth of your little girl.
Chaos - I've already said it on FB but congrats again on another pink bump.
Mumof4 - I did childrens nursing but you can get into NICU any route really just childrens is quickest.

We had a lovely holiday. Went down to St Austell to stay with my brother and his fiance. My mum came with us. We went to Fistral Beach and James loves the sand but the water was too cold. Then we went to Wadebridge and cycled the Camel Trail to Padstow with James on the back of my bike. Its 11 miles there and back so was a good work out lol. Then Wednesday we went to St Ives. Thursday we did Eden Project and Carlyon Bay and then Friday was just a chill out day and we came home in the evening. Had an awesome time with the weather. Only cloudy day was Friday! We watched the Royal Wedding and went out for lunch so was good. I've gone back onto my wheat free diet now cos my IBS is frickin awful and I'm sick to death of it. Already feeling slightly better after just 2 days of it. Hope everyone is well! Off to paint James's sand pit that his grandad made for him hehe.

LK- Thanks :flower: Sounds like you had a lovely Hol.
Nanaki- Good luck today I think :pink:
Aimee- Good luck with ttc

I've started to diet and exercise omg my whole body is killing me, shows how unfit I really am! I want to get back down to a size 10, I'm a 12 at the min. My stomach is my biggest let down it's huge after four c-sections.
I'm going to walk today to get the kids from school, it's a 30 min walk all hills.

I left Adi for 2 mins this morning to get some washing, came downstairs he had emptied his milk powder all over himself, tipped mop bucket out and emptied my handbag in that time and just sat there with this big smile. :baby:

LK: Hope you manage to get the IBS under control again :hugs: Sounds like you had a really lovely holiday!

Mumof4: Good luck with the weightloss :flower: Oh dear, they know when your guards down don't they!

Nanaki: Good luck for today :flower:

Back to work and assignment day for me, should be cracking on with it all but just got back after bloods appointment so a cuppa and then focus, my arms hurts, well is a little tired by hey ho, got to get the brain in gear - why does it always come to me at 1am?!

Took Chloe to watch stock car racing in Sheffield yesterday, was good but it was cold with the wind. Chloe liked it, waving at all the cars :D I was amazed at how many LO's not having ear defenders though, those things are loud!!

:hugs: for all that need them :flower:

Kte, I was about to go in my journal and didnt realise you already reply to this thread! Lol! :) My hubby was hoping for a girl thought. The sonographer said its 99% boy as she saw something there. She is not allowed to say its 100% due to the hospital policy. X
