Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

Morning all

Flora: I pop pics on there for the same reason, also means I get to see pics of her when I am at work! I have had a few ppl comment but I either de-friend them or hide their posts so they don't bother me anymore. Sod em' eh! :flower:

Milo'sMummy: Cute pic :flower: I love it when they investigate babies, Chloe loved poking my nephews feet!

Chloe enjoyed her day with Daddy. I dunno what they got up to, well park and town, but she was well and truly hyper until 8.30 :dohh: :haha:

Morning :)

Cute pic Milosmommy :) Milo looks like he's really serious about being gentle in that photo, lol :)

LK- I hope the search for a new CM goes quickly and you find someone that James likes just as much :flower:

Flora- aww glad Harry had fun in the water! I can't wait til it warms up enough here to get Emma swimming in the lakes/river again. Happy 19 months to you and Harry too :)

Emma's doc appt went okay yesterday- our doc is going to try to track down her echocardiogram results from Dec since the hospital never sent them and hasn't offered a follow up echo yet (she was supposed to have already had one and then I think she might have to go for yearly echos for a while yet) so that's a bit of a relief that she's going to try to do something about that. I didn't bother bringing up the diet stuff again because I still haven't figured out what's triggering the sleeplessness/eczema flare-ups. Emma was a tiny bit less stressed by the visit but was still not a happy camper. She was funny because while waiting in the waiting room, when another patient came out from the back exam rooms, she'd make a beeline for the door to try to escape at the exact moment that the other patient was openning the door to leave :dohh: Anyway, we were able to get her weighed this time and she's still off the charts at 31lbs and 35.5" tall.

At least Emma was happy to have Grandma and Grandpa waiting for her at home (they were watching the daycare kids for me)- Emma was not too happy when they left to go home though so I think I visit to their place later is in order

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :hugs: to those that need them!

Kaites glad the drs trip went smoother for you, been there today with the kids. Jabs for J and a tidgy 12lbs. N is now 23lbs 7oz.

Not much going on here really

I hope jabs for J went smoothly and he's feeling okay :flower: It'd be interesting to see the size range for all the Bumpkins if they were in a room together- all roughly the same age but probably about 10lbs difference for some of them, lol :)

Milo's Mummy- She's so cute
Kaites- Glad the appointment went ok and really hope you get some answers soon
To anybody else i've missed hope your all ok :flower:

Had a funny/strange day

It's 6 weeks today since my twins grew there wings and today I felt a release like a weight had gone off my shoulders if that make sense. I still miss them and wish they was still here but I'm now focusing on my future and making life better for me and kids.
Been a bit angry at few things that have happened as well today, 1st the sainsburys man asking if I should be drinking in my condition :trouble: and on the way home from school some scumbag had stolen a car, wrote 2 off on the main road then crashed into electric box through a shop window right where there was kids around :growlmad: and bet he only gets a slap on wrist.

On a good note I've lost 5lbs since last week, all down to walking and eating healthy and the good thing Adi loves us walking everywhere as we sing and chat.
Hope everyone has a good weekend x:hugs:

Mumof4- congrats on the weight loss  and glad to hear you are feeling better :hugs: Sweet pic of Adi in your avatar :)

ooh, congrats on the weightloss- i put on this week, thanks to eating my weight in clotted cream while in Cornwall, hehe! I just bought wii Zumba, so hopefully on the days where my back is ok, i can do that & have fun working out that way :)

Cute pic milosmummy! Bless them both.

Kaites, does Emma still get anxious around certain family members? harry's still pretty bad around FIL, but is totally ok with everyone else.

i forgot to say the other day that we had to take harry to A&E (ER)! He fell off the bottom step of our stairs while on his way to bed 7 hurt his arm- he wouldn't move it & it was all limp by his side 7 scremed non stop for almost half an hour, getting worse if we moved him. we ran NHS direct who said take him to hospital.... he fell asleep in the car & literally, the very second we checked him in at reception, he wanted to get down & was running about, giggling, giving hi-5s and was absolutely bloody fine, lol!!! Typical!!! Not a single mark on him, so the only thing they think is that maybe he dislocated it & it popped back in & shocked him a bit? i dunno though, but yep, he's fine.

Hope you don't mind me asking where did you get the wii Zumba from? Glad Harry is ok must of been scary x:hugs:

Afternoon all,

Mumof4: It is very cute :flower: Glad you are feeling better too and well done on the weight loss :hugs:

Kaites: Glad Emma wasn't as bad at the docs as before, even if she did make a bee-line for the door bless.

Flora: Glad Harry was okay in the end, that must of been pretty stressful!

Fraggles: Hope J is feeling better after his jabs yesterday :flower:

I need to get Chloe on the scales again, her feet have certainly grown so something is going on - argh new shoes time! :haha:

I'm trying to eat more healthily in an attempt to help with this tiredness. Did really well yesterday, and on track today although its not really helped any!

Took Chloe to the library today, she took out three more books and we got her 18 month book bag. The library assistant said not many people ask for them which is a shame, I said to her I think its because people don't think they exist anymore, I was worried they would of run out by now but nope. She got a red satchel with some chunky crayons, a drawing pad and two new books to keep.

Morning!

Flora- Yep, she still gets anxious around her uncles and MIL- she doesn't stay shy for as long anymore but it's still there initially when they come into our house. I can imagine she'd be in full freak out mode if she saw MIL's hubby (he's pretty much awol for most family events though). Glad to hear Harry was okay in the end- must have been scary!

Kte- Cute pic of Chloe :) Is your doctor's visit for the next round of testing coming up soon? I hope the healthy eating helps out the tiredness :flower:

Well, I feel like a bit of a dumb@ss today- just realized that Mother's day is tomorrow and didn't have the daycare kids do any mother's day crafts :dohh: I think because the 1st landed on last Sunday and I completely didn't realize it, I thought it was still going to be at the end of the second week of may instead of the 1st week of may and had planned all my activities for this week :dohh::dohh::dohh: Just sent them an email to appologize and phoned my mum to invite her over for dinner tomorrow

Kte do all areas do the book bags we were told they had stopped doign them here (taht was the HV though)

House of poorly here at the moment im changing dirty nappies every hour at least with N (can teeth make them go so much?) J isnt good either jabs not gone too smoothly :( he is on to the docs for a review of his meds on Tuesday as the reflux is pickign up and weightloss is slowling.

On a plus side they are both generally doing well.

Fraggles, sounds like N might of picked something up, Chloe's nappies do get worse but never by that much. Hope they are both feeling better soon :flower: I'd check with your local library, when we first joined they gave us the first pack, we were a bit cheeky really as the HV already had given us one but we took it because we thought it would be stopping. The library said don't forget to call back when she 18 months - they got a lot already there so maybe your library may have some stock still. They weren't really sure when it was stopping etc so defo worth a check :flower:

Katies - oops! Hope you have a nice mothers day tomorrow :hugs:

Mumof4- hubby bought it for me off amazon :)

Re book bags. harry got one at his 1 year check up. He won't get his next one till he starts pre-school at 3 & then the final one when he starts proper school at 5. But i think it differs on area & what funding the scheme gets. When my nephews were little they got one at birth, one at 18 months & the last one at 3yrs. :shrugs:

I have tummy ache tonight, but now off to bed.

Hope everyone;s enjkoying rthweir wekenkends?

Mine says in the 'red book' for this area :flower:

Kaites: Forgot to say, I had my bloods taken again last Tuesday so just waiting on those results, going to call the docs next week to see if they are there, hopefully so. I didn't do so well in the end yesterday as we didn't go shopping and we only had crap left! So two packets of jaffa cakes later . . . Nope, I felt bad yesterday and am absolutely shattered today but not sure if that is because I ran out or if I ate too much crap but I needed something! Today Chloe and I went to Tesco, she walked most of the way but then gave in and wanted to be carried - I had the pram so popped her in there which she didn't want but no way was I walking, carrying and pushing! lol Stocked up on goodies for my lunch so this week will be a real teller.

:flower: :hugs:

I have REALLY gotta read better cause I just saw "Kaites: Forgot to say, I had my boobs taken again last Tuesday"

I was like .. she had WHAT taken??? :dohh:

. . . .love the 'again' as well, like they just kinda slot on and off depending what mood i am in :haha:

lol, quite the mental picture :haha:

Happy belated mother's day to the North American ladies :flower: Hope everyone was spoiled rotten by their families :) Hubby had bought me a Wii Fit a while back as an early gift but brought home flowers and a card from him and Emma yesterday too. My parents bought me some flowers for my garden. Other than having them over for dinner, it was a pretty uneventful day. Spent most of it cleaning and working on some of my random little DIY projects (I built a TV antenna so I was up in the attic playing with it's location for the best signal- hubby thought I was crazy 'til I pulled in free HD channels, lol). Hope everyone had a good weekend :hugs:
