Love the pics...

Gosh, gotta run again - a rather noisy CC shouting LOL Catch you soon!

 Hi Eswift! How's it going with CC and getting her to take a bottle? :flower:

Hmmm., harry is still covered in little bumps... yay, might be another trip to the Drs, dammit. :(

Chaos - Sorry to hear about your friend, but like you say, at least the pain is over and you have some fab memories of him.

Flora - quick trip to the docs if I were you. Rashes are a dodgy thing, could just be a reaction to washing powder (would explain lack of it on his face and hands) or could be something sinister. Best to get it checked as you'd hate him to scar.

LK - sorry to hear that FOB is being such a d**k!

Kte & Nij - hope that Chloe feels better soon. At least if you're moving, you wont have to worry about that blooming CM anymore! Enjoy the house-hunting day. We're doing the same thing in April sometime but we are off to stay with the MIL in essex (about an hour's drive from Norfolk) so wont be too bad for us. Hope it goes well and you find somewhere nice.

Earl is just chilling out on the sofa (hoping he will drift off) after a monster breakfast and play session lol. Camera was on charge so he got away without the thing in his face for once lol. He ate 2 scoops of porridge (equivilant of about 4 tsp once made up) with 1 cude of apple puree in it, and 1/4 of a slice of toast finished up in varying states of mush on the dining room floor lol. He also had a sample of my weetabix (hoping to use that for a breakfast for him soon) and that seemed to go down well.

Then we put the playmat in the bathroom, took him out of his porridge spattered pyjamas (every morning now lol) and he spent 30mins kicking about in the buff while I sorted washing lol....never seen him so entertained. Note to self - if you want something done, take Earl's clothes off lol. :dohh::haha:

I'm also sick to death of job hunting already....not a single response, not even a no, so far :dohh: I hate it!!!!!!

ooooh we have touch down....1 sleeping baby  Time for me to go and find something else to do lol.

Oh, and forgot to say, The last 2 mornings I've not been feeling great (think it's still my thyroid as I feel great during the day after I've taken my tabs but becuase I'm on half-dose it obviously wears off over night) so I've been bringing Earl into bed to sleep. He wakes at about 5.30 now (improvement from 4am!!) but obviously we'd like it a touch later, but I've found if I feed him then put him into Hubby's side of the bed, he'll sleep until 7.30, or even 8! Love my little boy lol

Have a nice day ladies (and Nij) :hugs:

Thanks for asking Kte, she's still not taking it; LOL sooner play with it, tried today with half and half... LOL

Good afternoon!

Hope everyone is having a good day! I seem to be having one of those days where nothing gets done (and of course me being on the computer isn't helping...). Emma woke up with a snotty nose which has made her a bit of a grump. My parents dropped around for a quick visit this morning and thankfully she was all smiles for them. Not much new here. I've been doing more research on opening up my own home daycare for when mat leave finishes and it's looking like a good option. I bounced the idea off my mum the other day (she'll tell me if I'm insane for considering it, lol) and turns out she knew someone who oversees the licensed home daycares for my area and actually bumped into her yesterday (talk about serendipity...). The lady said to give her a call and she could walk me through the process, the pro and cons of running my daycare though a licensed agency, etc. She also mentioned that they always need people to do daycare in my area- makes it even more appealing since it was going to be hard to find a placement for Emma if I returned to work. Anyhoo, looks promising :) We're going to Montreal this weekend for my birthday and I'm looking forward to it :) First longer car ride with Emma and hotel stay so it should be interesting!

Flora- we only bother giving Emma solids if she's fussing for some to play with- it's so messy that I'm quite happy to forego a few days with food, lol :) Usually it's dinner she wants to join in on. If people are giving you pressure you can always remind them that boobie juice is more calorie dense than veggies and baby rice  I'd do the same but with my heffalump, they'd look at me like I'm crazy for not wanting her to growth to slow :) Sounds like the wedding prep is going well! We didn't bother with traditional stag and hen nights either- I went to the spa and then out to dinner with friends and hubby went on a charter fishing trip with the boys. Fun and no one was tied to a bus shelter :) Hope your OH still has eyebrows by Sunday morning :) Hope Harry's rash is okay too.

Aimee- wow- Earl definitely looks bigger than his cousin in the pic!

Chaos- so sorry to hear about your friend :hugs: So sad... Such an adorable pic of Autumn in her St Paddy's day dress!

Kte- I hope Chloe is feeling better :hugs:

LK- Such adorable pics of James! Sorry to hear FOB is being a pr*ck

Nij- I'd love to watch you wean the CM onto brick, lol :) Hope the house hunting goes well!

Maffie- hope you feel better :hugs:

Aimee- that's cute about Earl sleeping later if snuggled to hubby :) we have the opposite thing going on- if Emma notices DH in the bed, she keeps poking his arm until he smiles at her, then repeats it like it's a big game. No one gets sleep on those mornings :dohh: I hope you hear back from some of your job apps soon- I'd be frustrated too :hugs:

eswift- hope CC starts taking her bottle for you soon :hugs:

I better get some housework done- blah! :hugs: to those that need them!

Kaites, dont you worry ill film it. She is really pushing my patience - something I dont have much of when I have to get up at 1am for work and then I wanna be up with my family arghhhh even explaining it is getting me angry :~

Kaites: Wow, now that is certainly a coincidence! I really hope it work out for you, doing your own daycare sounds a great option :flower: Hope Emma feels better soon x

Eswift: Oops! Bless her! Hope the half and half convinces her a bit more.

Aimee: Chloe snuggles with Daddy only, if I try it she is wide awake! No fair lol! Hope you hear something from a job soon :flower:

Chloe is much better today, she her perked right up. A few cries every now and then but she is a bit constipated so I think that may be why.

Can you believe Nij and I forgot it was our 2 year anniversary!!! We been on about it for ages but actually forgot today!

I didn't forget i cooked you a ace chicken dinner :) lol

Kaites and Kte - forgot to say that the only reason that Earl is in the bed is because hubby is on early shifts this week. We've not tried to co-sleep with all 3 of us in the bed....I fear there would be blood as we're all quite posessive of our personal space  Earl is hilarious though. I lay down to sleep next to him and he rolls onto his side and fondles my face trying to get me to wake up, then rolls over the other way and goes to sleep. Takes me all my strength not to smile at him so he'll drift off lol.

Aimee I don't think anyone thought you were gonna squish Earl lol.
When Chloe snuggles with me she usually attacks my arms before drifting off lol.

Morning everyone!

Well, what a morning lol.

Earl was awake from 3-4am, when I finally convinced him back to sleep he stayed that way until 7.30 (in his own bed too!) so we are all very rested this morning.

I was feeling a bit sorry for myself (think it's PMS) as hubby seems to have a knack of doing housework to a stupidly high standard and making comments about mine - like the other day I did loads then he said that we needed to stay in the next day as there was 'loads of cleaning to do' :dohh: I had been getting upset and was ready to basically have a go at him later (definitely PMS lol) when it suddenly occured to me, just get off your arse and do it yourself then you stupid girl! lol. So this morning Earl and I have sorted out his bedroom, cleaned the bathroom, bathed the dog, had breakfast, sorted out some washing, ironed 3 shirts, tidied the front room within in inch of it's life including taking down the travel cot as it literally NEVER gets used (never mind lol) and we're just about to have lunch, hence why we're on here. Earl's had a nap while I bathed the dog so he's in a great form rolling on the floor enjoying the extra space lol. Feel much better - bloody hormones lol.

Other than that, not a lot going on as been too busy. Next job is lunch then we're off back upstairs to have another nap and to sort out all the DVD's in the bedroom (going to try that musicmagpie thing that's advertised to get rid of some that we never watch - anyone got any experience?)

Hope it's going well ladies and that the weather is good where you are. It's gorgeous here...we're going to go out for a walk about 2.30 as normal (been lapsing last few days - naughty!)

Bye for now ladies xx

Good Morning!

Hope everyone is having a good day! It's the last day of sun and warm weather in the forecast for awhile here so I'm planning on enjoying it. I think we might go to the beach for a walk along the river later. We've had really sunny, warm weather all week here and now the forecast for the weekend is crap- figures, the only weekend we've made real plans for in ages and it's supposed to rain the whole time :dohh: I have a feeling we'll be spending most of our time in the underground shopping areas in Montreal to avoid getting soaked. Emma still has a snotty nose but I think she'll be fine to travel. We have one of those nasal aspirators but I have yet to get it anywhere near her nose- she tries to grab it and put it in her mouth like a teething toy, lol. She is getting good at wiping her nose on people though- disgusting....

Kte & Nij- happy belated anniversary!

Aimee- I have a housework issue with my OH too- he always said/says that now that the baby is here, he'll do more of it but over 5 mths later, I'm still waiting for that to happen. Yesterday he took Emma out for a couple hours and I spent the time doing laundry, cleaning both bathrooms and doing the floors. When he got home he basically implied that I shouldn't complain about lack of time for myself if I'm going to waste it cleaning the house- grrrrr..... Sounds like you had a productive morning though! Enjoy the lovely weather and your walk :)

Anyone else have big weekend plans?

Hi Kaites. I am dead jealous your off to Monty, always wanted to go :(

Thank you for the belated congratz

Aimee: Not used music magpie but used computer exchange place CEX and some stuff you get decent money for and others is pence but still better than clutter than nothing. PS if you can get all that done I am hiring you when we need to move :haha: Enjoy your walk :flower:

Kaites: IW! Its nice of her to try and share with you! Hope the weather doesn't spoil your break too much :flower:

We have a busy weekend ahed, Nij parents tonight, Somerset house hunt / journey tomorrow and then my parents Sunday. Hectic but should be fun!

I have decided I really not happy with CM, I feel I have given her time and Chloe settle time but I am just not happy. If we move that solves the problem (job application deadlines are today so fingers crossed in the next few days!); if not . . . Im on the hunt, looked for CM & nursaries nearer where I work rather than home.

Hope everyone is okay and :hugs: for all that need them x

Nij : Why are our tickers different?!?

Ok, so I'm glad my OH is not the only one who's a slacker when it comes to housework. It'd be so nice if he did something once in a while so I dont feel like a slave, lol.

no weekend plans, as OH had stag do and announced that 2 of them are staying at ours sat night, so now I gotta buy extra food and somehow find the airbed from the spare room, aka dumping ground, lol. Have only just found all our towels, lol! :dohh:

Has anyone else found that when on their front (the baby on their front, not us, lol) they can move backwards? Harry managed to scoot backwards nearly 1.5m today, all the time laughing & spitting all over the rug, hehe. Was hilarous to watch as he was desperately trying to reach the spinning top in front of him but was getting further & further away instead, bless him

The rash is an allergic reaction according to docs. Only things we've changed are washing powder (gone from tablets to liqui-tabs) & he had some tropical cereal porridge stuff last week that I noticed had pineapple in & I'm allerhgic to pineapple, so it could've maybe been that. I'm thinking more likely the washing powder though. Typical!!! Oh well, he seems perfectly happy otherwise & the rash has gone down over the last 24hrs.

better go as Haraldo is making a really horrid nasal whining noise that makes me want to smother him, hahahaha. Just kidding about the smothering, but man, what an annoying noise that is, like a cross between whining, humming & shouting through his nose!!!

Afternoon All...

DS is gonna take CC for a walk to the local shop, he's gonna collect his beano...

CC went swimming with OH this morning, I watched; I absolutely full of cold... OH & CC enjoyed the session, LOL they splashed nicely together... Well worth watching, OH was totally out of his comfort zone... Glad the instructor was a bloke, gave OH a bit more confidence I think... Was only a small group, there was only 3 of them in the water...

Hope you're all well, can't believe it's the christening next weekend... Boy it coming around fast; hopefully it'll be a nice day...

Aimee: Awh, I see what you mean about Earl when it's you! I wouldn't be able to resist the fidgiting, maybe thats the prob, might give it another whirl!

Eswift: Hope your cold clears up soon, especially for next weekend, wow it has come around fast!

Flora: See your good, I would of just painted over old paint then moaned that it never looks right, I'm sure all your hard work and effor will be worth it in the end :flower: Chloe hasn't learnt the shuffle yet, when she is on her tummy she still moans and freaks after about 10 seconds!

Nij Argh that is frying my brain, I just tested out babygaga and lillypie with 31/10/09 and yours comes up saying 4 months, 2 weeks and 2 days and the lillypie is like mine saying 4 months, 2 weeks and 5 days!
