Nij Argh that is frying my brain, I just tested out babygaga and lillypie with 31/10/09 and yours comes up saying 4 months, 2 weeks and 2 days and the lillypie is like mine saying 4 months, 2 weeks and 5 days!

Shows even the internet cannot be trusted :haha:

Afternoon ladies. I had a very successful shopping trip this morning. Went to Primark and got 4 vest tops, 6 tshirts, 3 pairs of shorts, a knee length skirt, a pair of slouch jeans, a scarf (not a wooly one lol), 5 pairs of socks, and a hoodie....for a grand total of £59!!! Much bargains I feel lol. And my mum got James some wicked stuff yesterday. 4 tshirts for £2, a hoodie for £1, and a 2 pack of tshirts for £3. Not bad lol. He's getting to be a right little fatty. He is now in 6-12 month vests, and the hoodie he has on his 6-9 months! Luckily his bottoms still fit but his tops are all getting too small!

LK - I had to go shopping on Monday to get Earl a complete new set of clothes - in size 9-12months!!! His 6-9s are getting to a tight state. They all need washing tomorrow so that they're ready to wear. These Bumpkins are getting big now :flower:

i think i still have a tiny one we still use some 0-3 vests and gros and many 3-6 outfits are still too big

Morning all, hope where all well, what a week i have had with George, he has had a really bad chest, runny nose, bad cough, the lot!!! Nappys changing every 5 mins!!! The week has flew over, then yday i was putting some stuff onto his gums, and he has 2 peggys!!!
I was so excited!!! cant believe it, then we got a call from the Nursery we want to put him in, and he has a place, so a good end to the week really!!!
George has got his own little character now, and i really couldnt image my life without him, hope you all have a great day, and a good weekend

Sam76: Wow congrats on George's new peggies & nursery place!

LK: Bargains! I seriously need some new clothes and work shoes, never any bargains when I go shopping, I actually HATE shopping for me, never things in my size if I like it or always nice stuff when I have no money or nothing when I have money!! Ah well, once in a blue moon I stock up lol.

My hayfever is playing up a treat, weird how when I was pregnant I was okay, feel like my body is making up for missing out last year lol.

Hope we all had a good weekend :hugs:

Evening ladies. Well yesterday was as stressful as expected. But we were cleared out and back home by 4pm. Got all my stuff now so the only time I have to go back to the flat is in August to clean it before handing over the keys.

Kte and Nij - how did the house hunting go? Bridgwater isn't that far from me! So if you do move down we will have to try to arrange a mini meet up lol.

James is poorly poorly again. He has had this cough and is now on antibiotics for a crackly chest. Well today he has been making this nasty like deep growling noise almost like he is trying not to cough. He is really unsettled tonight and if he carries on making it much longer I shall be taking him to A&E cos it sounds far too much like croup for me to be happy.

Ooooo forgot to say, handy bargain tip here if your ever on your travel's on the Motorway, stop at a Welcome Break service station, you can get free jars of baby food.

Okay so Chloe is still on milk but the amount of times we stopped on our travels this weekend we ended up with 5 jars, 3 heinz veg and 2 heinz puddings, 4-6 months, exp 2011. Great emergency cupboard food to stock up on! :haha:

Yeah, didn't twigg, Bristol isn't that far! It was good thanks, everything we expected and more, just very stressful as we just want to be there now without all the hard work in between lol!

Hehe good tip Kte. Aww how long will it take to sort out? Hope it isn't too stressful for you both.

Morning All...

CC is in 6 - 9 months now, starting to stock up on 9 -12 months already... Cost us a fortune, but she's worth every penny...

Weaning still going strong, we can now mash her food and watch her eat biccies self fed... We give her snips of what we're eating too, LOL probably shouldn't LOL

I took health visitor's tip of adding formula to her porridge, found that she's ended up with really yucky nappies (?) Not added any this morning so we'll watch and see... LOL What fun!

Happy hunting for clothes and bargains...

Goodness, I've missed so much. But just been soooo busy this past week I've barely had time to switch the computer on, let alone read all about me ol' Bumpkin mates. I am supposed to be at work now, so this is a very quick hello to say that everything is looking up. Monty and OH both feeling well again. Monty is super smiley. He's been in a fantastic mood all week - we've done mum-and-baby yoga, been swimming (including underwater), had lunch at a friend's, been to another friend's for a cuppa, had sis and bro-in-law and our two nieces up for the weekend, been hiking, been for pub lunch ... you'd think Monty would be knackered, but no :-) The only down point is he's waking at least twice a night now for a feed. Anybody here gone down the route of BLW and found a miraculous change in night feeds?

One more great thing - OH got good news back from his biopsy this morning :happydance: They still need to keep an eye, but it's defo good news for now.

Well after panicking the crap out of me last night with a horrible croupy cough James slept through for the first time in weeks. Woke at 7am, took 6oz of milk and 1/2 jar of porridge and is now having a nap. Hes so happy in himself, I think cos he has had some decent uninterrupted sleep! Think it could have something to do with having gone onto 3 meals a day yesterday lol. He is such a little piglet. We have our first dentist appointment at 11.15am. The only way to register James is to make him an appointment and as he is cutting teeth (although they are taking their sweet time about coming through!) I thought I may as well take him this week as I was due a check up. Hoping I won't need my first ever filling cos having problems with 1 of my teeth being really sensitive :( Then we are off to see HV at 2.50pm to get weighed. I am reckoning on about 15lb 6oz. Don't think he will have gained much cos of the sickness bug he had. He defo lost some weight cos his little tummy went all skinny.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning girls!!!

Well what a week. It started last Tuesday with Autumn, she woke up in the middle of the night and basically her cot was a swimming pool of poop. I was like, ick, I guess the peaches I gave her didn't agree with her, changed her and such, and put her back to bed. Well we woke up at like 6 and more of the same and she started refusing bottles/any liquid and her poop got so watery I couldn't even tell if she was peeing.

I called the paediatrician and they said it sounded like the tummy bug thats been going around and hitting all the kids (called "norovirus") advised me that if she don't want to eat, that's ok, as long as she takes fluids. They told me to get pedalyte, which is basically lucazade for kids. They also told me to go to them to get some special soy formula to help with the squirts as milk based will make that worse.

Well long story short, after 4 days of going thru 8 sleep suits a day, projectile vomiting of pink pedalyte all over my white carpet she's better!! Today she took rice for the first time since last Tuesday and a full 8oz for breakfast.

The last couple of nights she's been really fussy .. waking up 3 or 4 times a night (really unlike her!). I figured its just cause she's on the tail end of the sickness, but when I looked today .. girls .. SHE HAS HER FIRST TOOTH!!!!! :happydance: As you look at her it's the middle bottom left. Its all sharp and poking up! Poor lil mite. I just gave her calpol and teething gel.

Well to top everything off Friday night, DH and I were struck with her tummy bug, we were tag teaming the loo to see who could puke the most lol. Then last night, a stinking cold broke in me.

You know I NEVER get ill .. having a kid is testing my immune system to the max haha.

Sam ~ Hope George starts to feel better! Yay on teeth!!! :)

Maffie ~ Aww small is good! I put Autumn in a dress the other day and it was frigging 9 months!!!

Kte ~ Re new stuff. I get stuff like jeans and shorts from Goodwill over here (Kinda like the cancer charity shops back home) .. got a really nice pair for $2.50 the other day. I like to buy tops new tho, most I ever spend is about 5 bucks at Walmart tho lol I'm a cheep skate!

LK ~ Glad you're pretty much free of that situation now. I think I saw somewhere he wanted YOU to drive to see HIM?? Lazy shite, tell him to get on a train and come and see his kid. Why should you have to travel? Hope lil James feels better soon.

Eswift ~ Ditto on the clothes. Luckily all the spring consignment sales just hit here, so I got a WHOLE bunch of summer stuff for 50 bucks. (Kids consignment sales is basically like a big bootfair inside a warehouse full of kids stuff. They have them in spring and autumn here .. they have every thing to do with a baby you can imagine.) LOVE them!! I don't see the point in buying her new stuff at the moment as she's just growing out of things SO quick.

Ok someone is ready for their 1030 snack!

Glad Autumn is feeling better Chaos. Im naughty when I buy clothes I do spend a tad too much (although buy second hand too but we have some 'nice' outfits. Thankfully I think they will get quite some where as its only items with feet in that Noah has grown out of :haha: tall lanky thing he is. I popped him in a 3-6 outfit yesterday and it was only is cloth nappy holding the jeans up.

Kte and Nij - how did the house hunting go? Bridgwater isn't that far from me! So if you do move down we will have to try to arrange a mini meet up lol.

It was good, I was amazed how small the terraced houses are down there, makes out 2up 2down look like a mansion TBH.
I think we have found the house we want subject to me getting the job (hope that I find out before they sell the house to someone else).

As for STRESS - YES the arse of a estate agent, he knew how far we were traveling, and he still forgot to call me to tell me one of the two houses we were viewing hed been sold and the other had a offer on it already - so kinda a wasted journey from that point of view.

Bridgwater is quite close to Bristol aye. Not sure about a mini meet, would have to get settled etc.......

Chaos - poor things! I have had Norovirus twice! Joys of working in a Children's Hospital. And boy does it suck. As for FOB I have messaged him on Facebook and told him that if he wants to see James then he will have to arrange some kind of mediation (which isn't mandatory over here so I can just say I can't get there) cos I am done. If he wants to see his son, then as far as I am concerned he can just bloody well take me to court! I'm so done with his stupid excuses and lack of effort and apparent lack of bond with his son.

Nij - yes everything down here is tiny lol. My parents house is a 2 up 2 down and there is barely room to swing the cat (sorry Millie lol). With James's travel cot in the living room there is about 4ft sq floor space!

Well James has done nothing but giggle and squeal and just generally be in the best mood ever today lol. Asides from when its food time when he screams blue murder til I get it in his mouth lol. And if I am not paying attention and don't get it in quick enough boy does he let me know! He full on shouts at me hehe. I am on a food making thing tonight. We had fish pie and broccoli for tea so I have some broccoli to puree and I am going to go cook sweet potato, potato and peas, carrot, and some parsnip and potato. Just got to find room in the freezer for it lol.

Oh forgot to say. Got James weighed today and he is 14lb 14oz. So has only gained 5.5oz in 4 weeks. Stupid sicky bug. He has dropped from just above the 25th centile to the 9th centile :( so back where we started grrr.

Sorry, can't catch up properly as I have a pounding headache & a silly cough that is driving me nuts. Just wanted to pop my head in & say :hi:

Sorry to hear James is still a bit poorly & also Autumn with her tummy bug. Horrible seeing LOs ill :(

Maffie, Harry's still in 0-3mths clothing- only one set of 3-6 dungarees fit him & everything else is too big. There's a group called The Itty Bitty Babies Group (slow gainers) for ppl on here with smaller babies who are perfectly healthy & full term, but just smaller & slower gainers, lol. It's nice :)

anyways, better go. take care everyone :)

Morning all

Flora i'll have a look for the group, sounds good

Well i've been up since 3am as Noah keeps waking up crying/screaming. Just got him settled with a feed and I cant get back to sleep so thought i'd have a drink and some mummy time, doesn't help OH is snoring :dohh:
