Maffie ~ :happydance: For Noah's 5 months yesterday. Hope Noah is feeling better and you are able to catch up on some sleep :flower:

Flora ~ Hope you feel better soon :flower: I wonder if there is a beastie baby group? Mmm must have a search! :haha: Its good having a healthy smaller baby, they stay in their little cute outfits longer, its heartbreaking some of the things Chloe no longer fits in!

ARGH will be back to complete my post as I have to reset my PC as cant get into one of my work software programmes

Chaos: Hope your all feeling much better :flower: Congrat's on Autumn's tooth! :happydance:

LK ~ Lol and we have 3 cats to swing! Awh, hope Jame's weight picks up again now the sick bug has gone :flower:

Chloe has found her screech / shouty voice now, its kind of cute yet a bit confusing as she does it before a laugh or a cry so you have to kind of wait to see how she is feeling after. She was giggling at herself doing it though this morning :cloud9:

CM made me laugh this morning, the woman is OTT. She said she had cleaned out Chloe's eyes on Friday becasue she had some 'floaties' in them. I put this down to sleep but she was going on about conjunctivitus. Well turns out one of the other little boys has had it, but how true that is I am not sure as it may be CM diagnosis and not a real doc's. Chloe was fine all weekend and all Monday. CM thought Chloe must of had it on Friday, now forgive me if I am wrong but I never knew it came and then cleared up so quickly  :haha: I used to look after livestock at my old job and guniea (sp) pigs get it a treat having their eyes poked with straw etc! All sore and gunky . . . not at all like Chloe's eyes. :dohh: :haha:

Be interested to hear your thoughts on pooing, girls: https://www.babyandbump.com/baby-club/298303-many-poos.html#post4806980

Am convinced we're on super-poo duty at the mo, but maybe it's an age thing.

Kte- when Harry had conjunctivitis, there was no mistaking it- yellow gunk caking his eyes, waking up unable to even open them, bless him. Took 2 lots of drops & about 12-14days for it to clear up completely. Trust me, if Chloebear had it, you would most definitely know!!!!!

edit: just realised I called Chloe 'chloebear' which is what I call my sister, lol. I used to sing 'Chloebear, she's boun cing here & there & everywhere' to her to the gummybears theme tune. Used to drive her nuts & she'd chase me around the lounge with a hair brush trying to whack me to get me to stop!

Lol that's funny, I didn't realise at first! She sometimes gets called that by my best friend.

It's funny with nicknames, Chloe even knows her current nickname of 'Goo' at the min :haha:

Clo Clo
Chloebear
Chloemonkey
Cheeky
Stinky . . .

Aw, Gummybear nostalgia too, thats something I need to dig out the loft so Chloe can watch!

i was a huge gummybear fan when I was a kid... that & Thundercats  We used to call my sister Clo, CoCo, Cokesy, Cokes, Chlo-doe, Chloebum, Chloebear, Chloebeth (her name's Chloe Elizabeth) Cleo, etc etc. When her son was about 3, he was really into names & couldnt say Chloe so he used to call her Mummy Coley. Every pet she had she named it Coco too. lol
Now she's either Chloebear or Clo, but dad still calls her Cokesy. :)

It's funny with nicknames, Chloe even knows her current nickname of 'Goo' at the min :haha:

that's Emma's current nickname too :) DH has morphed it into Goosy and I realized this weekend that he never calls her Emma anymore :dohh:

Hope everyone is having a good day! Been a busy couple of days around here. Got back from our weekend in Montreal- was an interesting weekend involving a car accident, bomb threat in the building next to our hotel and other inconveniences- definitely a birthday to remember! We spent yesterday on the phone with the insurance company and at the collision centre to get the car repairs started. Today we have to go buy a new car seat. The car accident was really minor (slow speed, someone backed into the side of our car as we were driving in a parking lot), just lots of damage to the car but now we have to replace Emma's car seat since technically it's been in an accident. No one was hurt (Emma slept through the accident)- just a pain in the butt dealing with the aftermath. Hope all the sick bumpkins are feeling better soon :hugs:

Evening girls. Well we have had a good day. Went swimming for the first time with my sister and her 2 kids. James loved it! Not a whimper out of him and when I was whooshing him around me in a circle he was chuckling. Were in there for half an hour and I'm sure he would have stayed happily but he was looking a little blue around the edges lol. Got him dressed and put him in the buggy and he was asleep within minutes. Slept for an hour and a half and then downed 7oz of milk followed by half a jar of turkey casserole.

Kaites - bless you! That must have been awful. Glad nobody was hurt.

Kaites :hugs: Glad your all okay and hope sorting it all out isn't too much hard work.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've been MIA but I've been a busy bunny.

Earl is now napping all on his own - my shoulder feels better already lol - and he's doing so well. He's been having some horrendous problems with his teeth, so I'm hoping to see some pearly whites pretty soon.

I've been busy trying to find a job. No luck as yet. 12 job applications in as many days and nothing....not even a 'Thanks but no thanks'. I'm changing tack now though...I'm going for the direct approach and writing directly to the companies I would like to work for. It's how I've got my last 2 jobs! I'll continue to do the applications but I'm getting fed up already and I've only been at it 2 weeks! :dohh: If all else fails after Easter I'll be going to register with the employment agencies and taking on some temp work. Hubby is fed up and after June we'll be in dire straights until September so it's best for everyone....looks like if we do that though we'll be moving in with MIL....at least it's free childcare as she's semi-retired now

Other than that, it's all good. Hubby did well on his diving - did his first 2 of his 5 adventure dives in 5 degree water.....mad man that he is!!

Kaites - I hope that everything is ok and sorted out quickly for you

LK - Sorry to read about your run in with the HV

Kte and Kaites - Earl's nicknames change every day. At the moment he's 'Earlie' or Early-bird :baby: Burly is also a popular one lol.

Harry gets called all kindsa stuff... Horatio, Haraldo, harrybo, little bo, baby, baby boy, bubba, harrybarry, hazza, squidge, lil man.... mainly just harrybo tho. :)

night all :)

Lol James gets called...Jamesey, stinky pants, buddy boy, binky, cheeky monkey, cheeky charlie, stinky minky, chunky monkey, and bubbie.

LK ~ I wouldn't worry too much about the HV, in my opinion they can be very hipacritcal, either not parents or older parents; when raising baby was done differently anyway...

I've given up on pushing the formula milk at the moment after taking HV advise and adding it to CC breakie, she ended up with horrid nappies which stopped after not adding the formula. GP say to try a different one the doesn't upset her tum...

She's now eating the 7months + food, so we're mashing not blending and letting her feed herself... A right proper foodie LOL...

Off to the hair dressers today, ready for Sunday; then it bring on the baking... LOL Thank goodness OH is off on Friday & Saturday... (He's pretty good at baking on the QT, but don't tell his work mates, not a good thing for a real hairy truker!)

Good Luck on the job front Aimee!

Hope you're all well, tabs are helping me; I'm not weeping all the time now and starting to be a little calmer with DS... Take Care all...

LK: I call my cat stinky minky!

Eswift: Glad the tablets are helping. Nij is a bit of a cooking secret too, what is it with these truckers that makes them good cookers? :haha: Hope you find a formula that doesn't upset CC :flower:

Aimee: Good luck with the job hunting :flower:

Well I gave Chloe a tiny bit of baby porridge today. I am being a tad naughty and experimenting. I gave her a little on Monday and the CM said she was fine, but then again she was fine last Monday. Last Tuesday she was 'unsettled' and yesterday she was 'unsettled'. Honestly, my poor baby, she isn't allowed to be 4.5 - 5 months old! She is a baby for goodness sake, its normal to be 'unsettled' . . . anyway, mini rant over. So today I also gave her some baby porridge and awaiting the report, CM has no clue otherwise she would just lie to me I am sure of it. I upped Chloe's bottles, she was on 180ml (6oz) but the other night, Sunday, she drank so much I figured it was time to upp the formula. So she is now on 210ml (7oz) which is the recommended amount for her age so she only just caught up with what she is supposed to be having! Chloe wasn't that fussed about the porridge and most of it came back out, she mushed some around her mouth but it didn't excite her. Anywhoo . . . CM said Mon and yesterday she 'drained' the bottle. Hmmmm, don't quite believe that, I mean old bottle yes but new bottle no. Oh and she bloomin' lost a bottle of mine too, Im a bit OCD when it comes to Chloe's bottles and dummies! So lets see.

Good morning :)

Well, we had another productive day yesterday- got Emma's car seat replaced. An added bonus is that they've changed the colour of the cover so now the model matches the interior of our car, lol :) I also managed to find a baby bike helmet for when Emma is riding in our bike trailer  Today we've got a mini road trip planned- hubby starts his new job next week so we're going to figure out the best backroads to get there since it's pretty far from where we live and there would be insane traffic if he took the major routes.

LK- glad to hear James enjoyed the water! Emma is just starting to get the hang of swimming lessons and cold water.

Aimee- hope Earl cuts a tooth for you soon! We're in the same boat here- 3 mths of drooling and chewing and still no pearly whites. I hope we are getting close- Emma seems to chew on her hand in a frenzy more often these days. I love the nickname Earlybird- so cute! I hope you start to hear back from employers soon- that must be really frustrating :hugs:

eswift- glad to hear you are feeling better :) I hope you find a formula that agrees with CC's tummy.

Kte- I'm interested to hear how your porridge experiment goes :haha: I'd be annoyed with the CM over losing bottles/dummies too, especially after all the other crap she's tried to put you through!

Well, I better get going- Emma is starting to tire of the pile of toys she's sitting amongst so time to find something new to amuse her with :)

Thats great LK, hopefully the time at the old job will fly by.

Kaites your weekend sounded eventful, glad you are all ok.

Aimee the right job will come along and always remember it's them losing out by not hiring you.

Kte good luck with the experiment will be interesting to hear if Chloe is still 'unsettled' on foodie days.

Well i've had a headache for about 6 days now, feeling rough, rough as I dont know what. Ive not felt this rough in hmmm a year

Noah gets called alsorts too, Noah noo noo, lil man, wiggly giggly bum, munchkin.

He was attempting a crawl earlier  he got on his elbows and fett and bum went up in the air then he face planted :haha: was comical. I grabbed the camera before picking him up *naughty mummy*

Evening all,

Need to sort out Chloe's clothes bit time but a 'quick update' :D

Maffie: Bless him, it looks like he has fallen asleep so you can get away with it lol :haha: Hope you feel better soon and your headaches go :flower:

LK: Congrats on the new job start date :happydance:

Well, Experiment day 2: I'm still seeing how it goes but today this is what she wrote in her red book;

Chloe again very unsettled this morning, in a routine from 1pm. Morning feeds every 1.5 to 3hrs.

  • 6.45 120ml (4oz) feed (me)
  • 7.15 secret porridge aprox 5ml, (me) made about 15ml of it up (1 spoon porridge to 3 spoons of water, it did end up down her chin more tho!)
  • 8.15 Full bottle of milk (CM)
  • 11.15 Full bottle of milk (CM)
  • 3.15 Full bottle of milk (CM)

Im not surprised the first feed was only 1.5 hrs apart, she only have 4oz. She obviously not taken much of the porridge but I don't want to force it down her neck if she isn't interested.

https://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g110/Kitty_fantastic_o/BabyandBump/100_2654.jpg

She had one bottle at home around 7.00 after her bath and is now sound asleep. She only drank 150ml (5-ish oz).

I just DO NOT believe Chloe is draining a full bottle. CM also says she doesn't have bottle, didn't loose it and no other parents use bottles so couldn't take it in mistake. :dohh: We still only have 8 bottles at home now and like I say I am OCD with them, I would electronically tag the things if I could! I'll check my car and Nij's just in case but it isn't in the house.

Hope we are all having a good evening :hugs:

Gosh she wouldn't like feeding Noah then Kte I know he's on boobie but even when i've expressed and he has bottles his feeds tend to be roughly

4.30
6.30
9.00
11.00
13.00
15.00
17.00
18.00
19.30
20.30

Well i'm feeling a little better today still a little rough of a morning but it's eased a bit. Poor Noah keeps being sick, not sure why i'm wondering if it's teeth as his mouth seems full of hard spots. Can teething make babies sick?

It's very miserable here, was hoping to go out for a walk but might save it for tomorrow when mum and brother visit.
