Not good when the sun is shining and all I can think is summer is on its way and I need to loose this tub! :haha:

I hear ya! I have skinny arms and legs but a round, squishy tummy. I think I'll just keep Emma in a carrier, strapped to the front of me to hide the stomach area :)

Watch out Nij, if there wasn't an ocean separating me from the chocolate, I'd be on my way, lol :)

happy easter everyone. Harry didn't get any chocs, so he wont be having any. I too have A LOT of flubber to lose. I lost weight pretty quickly at first, but these last 11 lbs to take me down to pre pregnancy weight just aren't shifting at all & neither is the jelly belly, back fat, muffin tops or flabby arms & thighs! :dohh: And even before pregnanct, I was attempting to lose the 2 stone I gained at university after I finished competing gym/trampolining... there is defo something to be said about my lazy lifestyle since I quit everything, got a job that allows me to sit on my butt most of the day & snack lots & living with my OH who happens to be a terrific cook.... GRRRRRRR.
Oh well, none of it matters at the end of the day, so long as I'm relatively healthy, content & have my yummy Harry to stare at all day :)

Happy Easter All!!!

What a week I've had... After the last post which was cut short, I had to dash to take MIL to A & E she'd had a fall and coming up for 80 it's not good! LOL Family meal still went ahead, rather a strange night... In one way it managed them all to have a much needed laugh and in the other there was a rather icey area... SIL kept trying to get the entire conversation back to her!?!?! (Hello! She's the one whose caused the rift in the family...)

Dr put MIL's fall down to stress as she's looking after SIL & worrying about SIL debt problem... Finally managed to get her to talk about how much, who to etc and the best ways forward...
It's a step in the right direction but why wouldn't she listen when OH was around to help her? It's all being left to me??? Argh!!!! I lost 4 days in total last week through SIL...

Evening all,

Eswift: :hugs: Madness! SIL sounds like a huge pain!

Katies: I do that with Chloe, strategically place her to hide sinful areas! :haha: You would be quite welcome to some! We got far too much chocolate here, choc easter cake, choc easter crispies, choc bars as well as choc eggs, oh and we did have choc milk  MIL bakes every weekend and whilst its nice, I like to take spare cake into work sometimes as they just hoover anything and everything taken in.

Flora: Yep, my job lets me sit on my butt too! Although I can be good at work, it's when I get home! Although once Chloe is on more solids that will defo change.

Right all, off to bed but before I do here are a few pics of Chloe, one with her Peppa Pig easter egg (which she hasn't eaten) and one of her being a clever bum sitting up on the sofa which she loves to do with Nij and me!

Morning all and Happy Easter :flower:

I let Noah try a chocolate button he wasn't impressed.

Kte thats how Noah sits

H has had 5 days off which im thankful for as im getting stupidly bad headaches, they are driving me bonkers and knocking me out.

I have loads of weight to lose, although I am below my pre pregnancy weight now, I still want to lose a couple of stone at least. Being a shorter means it shows fast on me :(

Morning ladies and gent!

Hoe we all had a nice Easter. Earl and I had a good day in all...although Hubby was working - boooooo! He's at work again this morning but has the next 2 days off

Earl had a suck on a malteser and he really really did not like it. I've never seen him refuse to eat anything before....he will literally eat anything, apart from it seems, chocolate lol. Makes my life easy lol.

I made us a massive chocolate cake for Easter....I'm still not great with sweet things but this was a dark chocolate cake so it wasn't that sweet! It was scrummy and despite the fac tthere's only 2 of us we've managed to go through 12 slices in 2.5 days

Eswift - what a nightmare!! I hope you had a better sunday :flower:

Kte - Awww Chloe looks rightly roud of herself lol. Earl loves to sit on the sofa like that. I have to watch him now though as he's learnt to throw his weight and if the dog walks past Earl tries to follow. Also the same if hubby gets up and leaves the room. Little scallywag.

I've had enough of his bad sleeping though. He was up from 3.30 today at half hourly intervals and it was driving me potty. Basically I've sussed out that it's not his dummy that's the problem, it's the fact that he can't self settle. Looks like we're spending the next 3 days and nights doing some sleep training - and I thought that he had done really well. Never mind, at least we've caught it early on. His teething and big spurts just recently have really knocked him for 6. Going to try some Sleep Sense techniques for the next few nights and if that doesn't work then some CC. (Please don't kill me that it's before he's 6 months).

Right. Time for some food - not sure what though lol.

Morning all,

Maffie: :hugs: Your poor head, hope the headaches leave you be for a bit :flower:

Aimee: Cake sounds nice! Hope you can sort Earl out pretty quick, I think we are lucky as Chloe can seem to self settle, she was wide awake at 1am the other night and I just left her to it because she got more giddy every time she looked at me. Ok, it took her an hour granted but she just kinda fiddled with her bed and then fell asleep. It can't hurt to try CC if you have to, it's not as if your going to say 'tough' to Earl if it doesn't seem to be working and carry on doing it anyway (hmmmm sounds like a certain CM!).

I was quite amazed as she slept from about 7pm last night and didn't wake up until 9.30! What was that all about? Not that I am complaining, its going to be hard to get up for work tomorrow now though lol! My Mum is looking after Chloe tomorrow and Wed for a bit. I was worrying and doubting thinking maybe we sent her off to young and maybe she wont settle for anyone except Nij or me but last night was was sleepy grumpy and her granddad got her off no probs in the end which has reassured me.

Well Nij is at work and stuck there for a good few hours, until about 4 he thinks now, which sucks but I have my friend coming over for cuppa's and a natter so that's going to be nice.

Have a nice day all :flower:

Aimee, Earl sounds like Theo :( ...he sleeps 7:30/8pm till 12/1ish fine, nor probs...after that it is 20-30min wake ups till 7am when he will refuse to sleep anymore :( is Earl waking for a bottle or just to be settled? Theo still has a bottle about 3am, i've tried not giving him it but he just screamed...

Wish we could do something like leave him a while but i'm terrified he will wake DD up and then we will all be up...so for an easy life I have just been putting him in my bed and re plugging his dummy the second he murmurs...i'd love to do CC with him, its what we had to do with DD & she started to sleep 13/14 hours shortly after....*sigghhh*

x

Oh & Theo has taken to rolling over in his sleep & getting stuck because he can't roll the other way..its driving me nuts!!!

Mellie - He was waking for a feed but then he stopped drinking his first bottle. I must admit he would settle a lot easier after a feed but he was eating more at night than during the day  so I just stopped giving his bottle but he then needed to be cuddled back to sleep :dohh: I have found some literature that explains it all and it has some links to some no cry sleep sysyems....link

Looks like we're starting tonight so we're having one more cuddly nap right now. I feel a little bit sad... he's getting so big and grown up. I' going to miss the baby stage (never dreamed I'd say that) but I get to do it all over again when we start to TTC next year. Scary thought having 2 of them lol.

Pretty quiet in here today!

I'm having a boring day too- downloaded pics from the digital camera, made soup with turkey leftovers, sorted through all Emma's outgrown clothing and packed it away and tackled a mountain of laundry. Not too bad :)

Kte- cute pics of Chloe! That's interesting that granddad can get chloe to settle- I'm sure she'll do well at the new nursery and it was just the CM that was the problem :hugs:

Maffie- hope the headaches clear for you soon- sounds aweful!

Eswift- sorry to hear you had a rough week :hugs:

Aimee- Hope Earl starts sleeping better at night :hugs: Emma woke at 1:30 last night (hasn't done that in ages!). I'm hoping it was a one-off and not a new trend, lol. The window was open and I could smell a skunk, so maybe it was the smell that woke her

Have to share a couple pics while I'm at it :) Here's one of Emma relaxing on the hammock in our back garden this past weekend:

And all dressed up for Easter in a dress that my mum made me when I was little:

Hope we're all well :hugs:

Kaites: Gorgeous dress & really lovely pictures of Emma :flower:

(Chloe even took a bottle of my best friend today so I am sooooo happy, I even took a photo for evidence for Nij!)

Nite all x

Evening girls. Hope everyone has had a good day. James has been really refluxing today which is a shame cos it makes him sick. So he has been pretty grizzly. On the upside he is so close to crawling. He can drag himself across the room and keeps getting stuck under the sofa and his travel cot lol.

Morning all,

Ugh I feel  I'm normally good with colds and such but this one just won't budge. Everytime I try and do work I am doing things wrong and making it harder for myself! Off into town soom to get a nice warm jumper, I'm freezing, can't tell if its just me or if work have been tight gits and switched off the heating! :haha:

Chloe is with my Mum, she woke up in the best mood, all giddy and smiles so I hope they are having fun :flower: :cloud9:

Hi all, Noah had 2 night feeds and was crying for over an hour with bad wind. He's happy now he's poo'd :haha:

Im tired today though. OH is back to work so just me and Noah at home.

I bet your mum is loving having Chloe Kte.

Love the hammoc picture Kaites.

LK sounds like James is well on the move, Noah is only interested in trying to stand up.

Afternoon girls. How is everyone getting on today? Me and James walked down to see Grandma (my nan) and have a cup of tea. It's about 2 miles each way and he slept all the way there and most of the way back. Got home to have lunch and he has had 3.5oz of milk, a whole fromage frais, and half a pot of fruit puree for lunch! Some very cute pictures ladies!

Another quiet day here!

Emma is 6mths today- god that went wayyyyy too fast! I hope the next 6mths crawl by. I think it may finally be time to put her back in her crib in her own room  She's getting more active at night and has woken up earlier than usual the past 2 nights with her head scrunched up at the top of the pack n play (she only has about 3" clearance top and bottom when placed in the centre). She still wakes up for one feed at night so I'll bring her into bed for snuggles then (and 'cause I'm too lazy to put her back in her room, lol). Not much else new with us- went to Costco and my parents dropped by for a cup of tea (can't keep them away from Emma for more than a few days lately)

Kte- hope you feel better :hugs: I'm sure Chloe and your mum had a fun time together :)

LK- James sounds cute with his crawling attempts :)

Maffie- Emma's the same- no interest in crawling. I should probably do more tummy time to encourage her but she can sit unaided and play with toys now so we tend to do that instead.

Well, time to find something for Emma to play with for dinner- we're having pizza so I better find something a little less salty for her to enjoy (so much for BLW encouraging hubby and I to eat better :haha:)
