Burning nipples!

At about week 7 to about week 8 I had sore burning boobs. Now that I am 15 weeks pregnant it's my nipples that are burning! And holy friggin A does it hurt. It only lasts maybe ten minutes (or something like that) and it's usually one nipple at a time and it's maybe two or three times a day.

Questions
1) what causes this awful feeling? (I can live with it but it hurts).
2) What can I do to help ease the burning sensation when it happens?

I'm having the same problem. I talked to my nurse about it, apparently its normal. Mine hurt like CRAP when I'm at all cold, they firm up and burn like crazy. The only thing I've found to help is keeping the boobies warm. If I'm home when they are burning I'll take a warm bath, if I'm out I go to the bathroom and try to warm them with my hands/rub them soft again. The nurse said she knows a lady who microwaves small sport socks for a few seconds and puts them in her bra to warm up the nipples.

I did the warm technique didn't help much. but it did ease off a bit XD I think I'd rather have the sore boobies than the fiery pain of the nips XD
