I was wondering if you burp your baby when they wake up for their night time feed. Connor will wake up, eat for 10 minutes and fall fast asleep on my breast and burping him doesn't seem to work out that well. I always feel bad for not burping him  should I try and wake him up a bit and burp him or just let him sleep?

If paige doesn't settle straight away i burp her but most of the time she goes straight back to sleep so i don't bother. If it was hurtin her she'd let me know!! xx

When Sam has his last feed at night I put him on my shoulder to burp him and he just falls asleep there, so I just put him down and he seems happy to sleep for hours - when they're a bit more sleepy I think they take in less air anyway so might not need burping

i usually burp my baby every time even if hes fallen asleep as i find when i pick him up to burp him hes usually still half asleep anyway otherwise if i dont when i put him down he wakes up and starts crying so i have to get up get him out and burp him anyway but my baby allways has alot of wind xxx

I had a MW visit today and she told me if the baby is breastfeeding they tend to burp themselves anyway. The milk starts to digest as soon as it hits their stomach or something, so it's harder to get anything out of them. She assured me that if he needs to burp, he'll probably do so on his own accord! I guess it's not too important Im sure if he was uncomfortable he'd let you know about it :)

xxx

after dreamfeeds I don't burp her :hi:

have the impression therefore more air @ the other end in the morning
