last night DH gave me the go ahead to buy something, how could he resist the i really really really love my daddy sleepsuit i showed him :winkwink: and i bought a mummy one, along with matching dribble bibs!
expecting AF tomorrow and then we are TTC, hopefully going to buy a little something each month to keep me excited!

has anyone else bought anything already?

Confession time .... I was in need of a little motivation so I have a welcome to the world sleep suit and a 50%mamma 50%papa one. I use them for healthy diet and exercise motivation (well thst's me excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it). I don't think there's anything wrong with buying a few things in preparation. If anything it's a little outlet on the WTT journey

Nothing wrong with buying something if it makes you feel good! :) I didn't, but I was also told I couldn't have kids so that's a different ball game! Good luck!

I think I may trump you loool... I have brought my nursery set... confession times two; I've brought it twice because we had changed our minds 6 months ago not to ttc and I gave it all away to my sister who announced she was pregnant. Only when we decided we would be ttc again for a third child I managed to find my beloved set in the mothercare sale and re brought the whole nursery bale and nursery accessories. I've also brought some lamaze toys which were an amazing steal. I am having to be a little more strict with myself now, I could buy the majority of it all now if I'm not careful. Easily carried away and far too impatient for my own good. Hey ho! Not long now till ttc

Haha, now I just have to keep away until I am duffers! Probably not going to happen. The shop a holic in me is always on the look out. I'll have to curb it with some early Christmas shopping ;)

:haha: ha brilliant!
looks like we are ttc the same time! good luck :flower:

I'm not really allowed to buy things... husband thinks it's a very bad idea, but then he knows how obsessive I can get, and how upset if things don't work out. I do however have a bag stashed away, of things I've collected, but not bought specifically for any baby we may have.

I have a gorgeous rat/mouse cot blanket, and a big fleecy one with rats/mice on, I also have a few little toys, mainly soft squishee Disney things, but also my very old cat teddy I got the day I was born, that is a special one <3

xx

I have a moses basket my neighbour was throwing out that is immaculate, its sealed up under our bed.
We have a hungry caterpillar vest, bib and sleep suit set, and a mobile for over the cot that were bought as gifts for my cousin but accidently packed into storage last year when we moved so were never given as a gift.

I wouldn't buy anything sorry to be a downer but just incase! It took me a few months into my first pregnancy to buy for my lo.

I only say this as A, who knows what happens when your trying and if your able to conceive B) it only makes you stress/fret about being pregnant which can easily take over your life!
Good luck for when you start xx

I haven't bought anything baby specific, but as my name suggests, I am a cross-stitcher and have a few projects in mind to stitch to hang in the nursery etc. One project will be finished by the time we TTC in December, but if it doesn't hang in a nursery, then it would also look splendid in a library/study or just about anywhere really! I think if I was going to buy anything, it would be books. Although, maybe when we actually TTC I might splurge on a little onesie or something special to have as a good luck charm. I'd probably save major buying for later, instead I obsessively pin things on pinterest.

I haven't bought anything yet, but like xstitcher87 I'm quite creative and like to crochet blankets and toys. I'm making a baby blanket just now which is (unofficially) for our LO when we have one x

I've bought quite a few things. I don't believe in luck or jinxing or any of that, if something happened and I couldn't have children I would just gift those things or donate them. Buying a few things helps me make it feel more real, and when your wait is years long (I will have been waiting five years total) that can be helpful.

I bought the cutest onesie that has a crab on it as a gift for someone but it never got there because of timing. Then I saw the cutest little nightlight that is a lamb stuffed animal. I also bought several books that I really liked, and DVDs, I want a complete Disney collection for my children. Oh and the best was a grift from my husband, he got me the baby's first stuffed animal, a Snoopy doll. His family loves Peanuts and especially Snoopy because they have Beagles so it was really special.

I used to think I wouldnt buy anything until like 20 weeks but I found it was getting me more excited and like Symphony7 said it does make it feel more real!

Loving the creativity Xsticher87 and Lulabelle very envious!! I don't have a creative bone in my body, I think homemade from mamma is beautiful xx

On top of my TTC kit (OPK, HPTs, and pre-seed lubricant), I have a couple of baby bibs that are hanging on the wall. I'm crocheting a blanket, as well...
