Hello!
Had a couple of quick questions. I've noticed my c-section is opening a little more each day. I've been to the doctor twice to have it taped together with steristrips, both times I was reassured it wouldn't need to be re-stitched. She said there was fluid build up behind it which was forcing some blood out. Now I can see that its a little wider, although forming scabs in some areas but still leaking quite a bit, mostly pink tinged but some red. There are no other signs of infection such as red streaks, fever, pus or anything of that sort, but I did notice a couple of lumps on either side of abdomen a little ways above the actual incision. I have had a bad cough and noticed it was a little sore when I pushed on the area, and then noticed the lumps. They are oblong though, if that makes any sense. Not like an actual ball shape, more of a line. Would this be the internal incision? Is that normal for it to swell up some? I really don't know what to think. I just felt some strain with coughing.
Sorry this turned out to be so long, but if someone has had any experience with this, I'd like to hear. I'm waiting on a call back from the nurse but kind of wanted a heads up to get an idea of what is going on.
