c-section pre-ops?

Was just wondering what they do at these- having mine later but never got one with my first as it was an emergency!

The midwife just went through the procedure from when we arrive to when we go home. Then a Dr went through the consent form and I was asked to sign it. I was then given pre meds to take the night before the op and a list of instructions as to when to take them, when to stop eating, what to do morning of the op etc. I didn't have any bloods or anthing like that taken though.

My cousin had hers yesterday and said they took swabs for MRSA... one up the nose, one in the mouth and one from the perinneum(SP) x

Yeah they did this- only from my nose though!
