Hi ladies 
I hope you are all doing well.
I am nearly 24 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from a lot of anxiety throughout my pregnancy.
This is due to the fact I have genital herpes (I have done for the past 10 years).
Now I know most women have successful vaginal births with this condition and it is encouraged. However if the baby catches the virus, the results can be devastating and quiet frankly I am not prepared to take that risk.
The risk is small but it is still a risk.
My husband and I have discussed it lots and I have decided I want to push for a caesarean. I am going to get hold of my obstetrician this week to try and get an appointment with her to discuss this.
Have any of you had a caesarean due to having HSV? How did you find it and are you glad you did?
