we're making a princess castle cake for oh's lg's bday we looked at just frosting and fondant and decided to use fondant as its a better look

is there a difference between ready to roll icing and fondant??? if there is how to do i mmake fondant/where do i buy it from????

I'm sorry I can't help, but every time I see or hear the word "fondant" I say it in my head like Buddy from Cake Boss - if you never seen it you will have to now just so you know what I'm waffling about :haha:

I do think it's the same thing but I'm not 100% sure though xx

Ready to roll and fondant are the same thing Hon ... Making it yourself is a real faff and not even professional decorators do that .... it's also not easy to colour evenly in large quantities or deep colours, so it's best to buy ready coloured, especially if you are just starting out and doing a big cake

If you do a local Google search for 'Sugar Shop' then any local specialist shops should come up ... (I prefer Regal Ice as a brand - it's easy to handle and doesn't dry out too quickly)

If you don't have anywhere local that sells the ready coloured then there are lots of sellers on ebay :flower:
