Here's the long awaited Barbie cake, after MANY disasters throughout the day I am glad it is all over! You cant really see it on the photos but it is really sparkley!

i use the pearl luster spray to make mine sparkly

Thank you! I am thinking a lustre spray might have looked better and went with the Barbie figure better, too late now!

Just the 2 sponges. i bake 2 in sandwich tins then put together!

So onto Miss Daisy's cake today
The cake is baked and buttercreamed and in the fridge, the icing coloured and decorations made so hopefully it shouldnt be too much hassle! (famous last words!)

I baked the cupcakes last night too, so just have to frost them.

I am also thinking if I have time I might make a few cupcakes to go round the Barbie cake, then if anyone sees them and likes them they might order some! I like making cupcakes so much more!!!

Ok, here is Miss Daisy's 1st Birthday cake, I am soooooo pleased with it!!!!! The only thing was the cake icing was supposed to be a dark pink but once it dried out a bit got darker and now looks red, oh well!! I still love it

omg, i am in love with that cake!! and dont worry about it looking red, it actually suits it more with the ladybirds!!! its utterly amazing n everything on it is perfect!!

It is crazy how much shops charge isnt it! i went out today to buy a ready made cake for the restaurant tomorrow as they said they would sing happy birthday to Daisy, and just to bring in a cake!

I have decided to just throw one together tonight ! I'll just ice it and write her name on it or something!

i need your help girls i need ideas for my sisters wedding cake, her fiancee is a coldstream guard so is wearing he red dress outfit and her dress has red in it so kinda wanna go with that theme, but she likes cakes like the one on the home page here but i dont think it will work in red
