Has anyone ever used ganache as a topping for cupcakes? Have you got any pics? Did you use the ganache to pipe or dip the cupcakes in?

I've used it, I prefer it to chocolate buttercream! I use my mixer to thicken it after its been in the fridge overnight then I pipe it on top don't have pics as I'm on my phone but search Doobree cakes on FB and I've got some on there

How do you make chocolate ganache? every time i've tried its gone wrong lol never thickens properly or is lumpy.

Hi all

Just wanted to introduce myself and join this thread if that's ok

I have just made and decorated my first every cake for my son's 2nd birthday today. I have been reading this thread for the last couple of weeks and am now up to about page 350, so still a way to go

So many people on here are so talented!

I really enjoyed making his cake and am really really proud of myself

I did lots of research and watched utube videos but that still didn't prepare me for how hard it would be to actually do lol!

Anyway I has well and truly got the bug now and I have actually been asked to make 2 cakes on facebook
