Bargain! But I hate that guy that sells them! I ordered over £100 worth of stuff from his website (not ebay) and because I questioned where it was...(3 weeks after ordering) I got nothing but abuse!

Told him to shove his order up his **** and I would not be using his service again!
My stuff came the next day buy next day delivery!

Shame really cos alot of his stuff on ebay is cheaper than most and he was always really fast with ebay orders (scared of neg feedback!)

Might get OH to order me some on his account!

almost done kais nursery cupcakes...
im using my HUGE tip andrea LOL...trouble is i dont like the huge peak it leaves in the middle, going to have a practice with it n see if i can get the hang of minimizing it

LOL i had that problem too! I am doing my giant cupcake tonight, might do some little ones for round it.

Stressing to the max about this, shouldve just bought the tin!!

lol no andrea....just think...it wouldnt have tasted as nice!! all wilton tins can be pretty large n deep so they turn out dense n stodgy in the middle...im sure youll do just fine hun!! cant wait to see it!
i have to wait till 6 now until adam gets in so i can go and get a new mixer!!!
not sure if ive got time for kai's 2 tier chocolate factory cake now

Well I am glad i didnt buy a bigger pyrex bowl for the top of the cupcake! It took nearly 2 hours to bake, then I got so paranoid that it would blow apart from dryness like the turkey on National Lampoons, I hacked into it to make sure!!

It was still lovely and light so I have got another one in the oven now!!

Ok so i am well and trully inspired.
Thanks to you all showing off your amazing cakes iv just gone and spent the best part of 50 quid on a ton of equiptment and bought 'The home guide to cake decorating'
Iv got a book
this is serious
The only thing i cant seem to find is letter cutters....where did u ladies get yours from?
Iv made the mistake of telling my mum that i want to do this and so now iv got an anniversary cake for the 8th April, OHs bday on the 12th, MILs Bday in May and Stepdads bday on 2nd June....argh!
I have vague idea of what i want to do for everything...iv decided to buy some playdough lol so i can practise making fondant figures...do u think this is a good idea?
Also with fondant figures how long do they taketo set?

Yeah you could have a play around with playdough! It is much tougher than fondant though but it will be good to get use to the modelling side of it.
havent done it much myself, Tracey has though so she would be better to tell you about it!

Argh!!!! Sometimes I just wish you lived closer Tracey so you could come round when I am having a stressy day like today!!

I dont know if its because I am getting more adventurous but I feel like I am getting worse at cake decorating instead of getting better!! Or maybe the last few have been flukes!

I had to strip the giant cupcake base back twice this morning! Then after that I discovered I hadnt bought any of the thin cards to support the dowels......... did a blue peter and made one myself!

The piping on the buttercream didnt go to plan either, it went all wonky so I ended up doing it all with a fork!

I have just about finished it, it looks ok ........... Will get some pics up soon
