I've never had a baby that spits up, and never had a sick baby either. My kids were both a lot older when they first had colds - they were toddlers.

Emma has always had at least one little bit of spit up a day, but she's caught a mild cold and is now chucking up about 2 tablespoons worth 2-3 times a day. Just wondering if the cold could cause this? Or is it something more? She doesn't seem to be in any pain at all.

Colds definitely made both my girls spit up more. It's the mucus that does it.

Dd1 was a happy spitter, no problems with weight etc. Dd2 spit up similar amounts but was always unhappy, in pain and at one point vomited blood and stopped breathing. She was hospitalised while we got her reflux under control. Spit up isn't always a sign something is wrong but keep an eye on it x

yes definitely hun because theres more mucous there which they struggle to get rid of so it tends to come back up <3
