Hello, been reading this section tonight and feel i can really relate to it, far more than the ttc section, where as you guys say they some guys seem as if 3 months ttc is forever. me (21) and oh (26) have been ttc 2 years now, and feel the heartache each month af arrives.

Although maybe feeling a bit more positive this month, finally got referred to gyn appt - seen last mon and have the hsg (??) where they put dye in fallopian tubes, cant remember name of procedure, have that this thursday!! so that was so quick, however, all other tests came back that we have unexplained infertility. OH SA v high sperm count, but high deformity as well. but high count should make up for this.

Very nervous bout thur, but hopeful too. The infertility nurse said she has alot of success stories following the hsg test?

Feel like im getting somewhere, but so scared its going to be me with the problem. i dont know how id deal with that.

Everyone around me seems to be pregnant, and noone understands how i feel apart from you's!!it breaks my heart to see everyone same age as me pregnant with 1st or 2nd and with some - 3rd child!!!!!!!

So i have come to join you if thats ok - seems like a good place to let off steam.

Of course you can join us We're all here for you through appointments, tests, venting etc.

I wish you the best of luck with your hsg. If a tube is blocked its generally an easy procedure to unblock. I know how scary it is wondering whether or not something is wrong and starting out with appointments can be pretty terrifying but you just have to believe that if they do find a problem, then they can either fix it or find other ways to get your pregnant and therefore closer to your dream.

We all love a good rant on here so you can definitly come here to let off steam.

My OH's SA results seem similar to yours - his count was 131m but his morphology was only 8% - so the doctor is sending him for some more detailed tests.
I have a laparoscopy and dye in a couple of months and am a bit nervous as well - although TBH just want to get some answers so willing to go through the discomfort.

Hope everything goes well for you on thursday - they do say that you have increased fertitliy for three moths after HSG - so really hope you get good news soon.

aw its lovely to have people in the same boat!!

Yeah im quite vervous about thurs, but hopeful... as 3 months of increased fertility would never go a miss!!! my friend had this and did say it was painful, but im just glad to be moving forward. what does annoy me is they say theyre not going to rush and do anything if there are not any probs etc coz im only 21 all i have evr wanted is children to call my own!!

anyway, my friend had ivf as her OH was infertile, and she now has very healthy 2 year old triplets!!

so there is hope for all i suppose, just very frustrating till you eventually get there my friend and her OH were trying for ten years.

Hi hun

Try not to worry about your HSG on Thursday. If you do have a blockage, at least it should be found and dealt with relatively quickly.

My OH and I also have unexplained infertility and are about to embark on our IVF journey - it is rather daunting but I know that I can get some moral support from the guys here.

Hope you don't stay here too long hun

oh well its tomorrow at 10:10. getting pretty nervous but got a wee shopping trip planned after it so hopefully wont be too sore and i can get out n forget bout things for a wee while.

feeling really hopeful for these next couple of months.

lol got a call wed night saying the machine has broke and appt was cancelled!!! which was so annoying - as i would have been ovulating this wkend, just after procedure so it fitted in perfect - but now its next thur!! so no bding all month n this months out the window lol!!! but oh well - hopefully a bit further on when we have it next thur xx
