Can I take paracetomal?

Ok this is stupid but I have a banging headache and I've got a driving lesson in about an hour. Can I take paracetamol or anything? I'm sure my doctor said its fine but on the packet it says not to in the 3rd tri :/

I thought paracetamol was fine if you take the lowest dose. What brand are you looking at -is it plan paracatemol or does it also contain codeine/caffeine etc?

There just plain tescos paracetamol. Is doesn't say anything about caffeine or codeine..

paracetamol is fine! I had awful toothache a few weeks ago and NHS Direct and my local out of hours GP told me I could take Cocodomol 8/500 until 36 weeks if I needed too. a couple of paracetamol is fine!
