can not believe how much I LOVE breastfeeding :)

Hi Grace :hi: Its recommended that you should exclusively BF to begin with so baby gets the hang of it first. However you are the baby's mum so you know whats best for you and your baby. What I would say though is that most plans I made through pregnancy have been changed or dropped as I went along xxx Good Luck hope it all goes well for you xxx

thanks for commenting. im hoping i can breastfeed, i am taking a class next week so will ask a lot of my questions then. I loved seeing your post and that its going so well for you. I still can't believe my LO will be here in 45 days or so! its so amazing :cloud9:

I feel the same way! I was SO proud that we got to a year old and still nearly no baby food (she's a real booby girl and we go by the phrase 'food is for fun before age one'). Her growth is perfect and everything. I nearly cried when I realized this is the year when she does eat other foods, and learn to try other drinks! She's doing great, though, and still loves her Mommy and MyLinda time. :) We still nurse off and on through the day and through the night. I wouldn't trade it for the world! <3 I honestly think I am at risk of following this one to college offering her a teat! rofl (J/K of course!)

Sambatika - got given baby gaviscon at docs, hoping it works for Seth or at least reduces things! Im currently on a lactose free diet too to see if he could be lactose intolerant! Hes had 3 scream-free feeds now but has still been sick!

Grace - I pumped once my milk came in to start storing in the freezer etc, but stopped as I was super lazy at doing it, anything OH feeds is freshly pumped! We waited until 2 weeks old and MW said he was breastfeeding great so could try (he also had started a dummy by then) I did cry when he took his first though as I was terrified he wouldnt latch back on (we only really introduced him to a bottke incase it was ever needed in an emergency where I couldnt feed him), but with Seth it didnt make a difference, he was still great! Im sure breastfeeding will work fabulously for you, just make sure you dont just give up, its such an amazing experience!

Chimchim - Haha! I love that your little one loves boobie juice :) and your time together! I plan to feed for a year but who knows it may continue longer than that lol! Just worried about how hardnit will be when I return to work! Did you BF your first daughter too?

Xxx

I did, but dried up at nine months. I'll never get any of that missed time back, so this time I'm going until she stops. I know better how to take care of myself, and am better informed, so hopefully I won't dry up. Making a year has me so encouraged!

Well done for feeding a 12lb baby, she mustve been really hungry xx

She was! Her growth stayed off the charts for a while, too! At 4 months old she was 28lbs and 31 inches long! That finally leveled out around age four or five, and now she's 8 years old, exactly 50th percentile for everything, and only projected to be 5 foot 4 when she's done growing! I find that hysterical!

It is crazy how their growth at a young age doesnt reflect on them when they are older! My DD was 7lb born, 50cm she was a little thing! Now shes 6.5 years old and the height of a 9 year old and not slowing down anytime soon! I really do have to hand it to you for giving birth naturally! Did you know she was big during your pregnancy? Xx
