Can opk's be wrong???

Measuring a week behind with no heartbeat (5.5weeks), sonograher thanks she can see baby but I don't want to get my hopes up

Hubby and I last dtd march 6th, had positive opk's on march 5th and 6th. But for sonograher to be right, I would have oc a couple of days after positive opk with 5 day old sperm!

Am I clutching at straws?

That's possible Hun...you usually O 24/48 hrs after your LH surge (pos opk) and sperm in the right conditions can indeed last 5 days, although most average 2 I think. There is also the possibility that your body geared up to O but failed for some reason, then O'd again a few days later. Plus the range of accuracy at this stage for ultrasound is about 5 days I think, so don't give up hope just yet as hard as it is.

We are kind of on the same boat...my positive opk was 3/4 on 3/5 it was neg. by that fertility friend says I'm 8 weeks 1 day...in all u/s I'm measuring 1 wk 4 days behind and last u/s fetal pole present but still no hb...I go bk Friday but I'm terrified..and to top it all off I'm so paranoid it seems I've lost pain in my boobies and my nausea is a lot less too....hope it works out for us both...I'm constantly in prayer.

Yes, they can be wrong especially for those with PCOS or those who gear up to ovulate and get a surge but dont ovulate and then ovualte a couple of days later. You are in my prayers hun
