The lines don't seem to be getting darker and I'm so worried. My beta at 12/13 dpo was 48 and my next one is tomorrow. Please help!

I don't think it looks like a chemical, my lines with my chemicals never got that dark, and they got obviously lighter then went negative. So many factors can affect hpts (concentration of urine, gow much dye is in the test, etc)They really can't actually show true progession since you don't know what your doubling time is. HCG can take as long as 72 hours to double in early days. :hugs: fx for your beta tomorrow

I just feel like they should be getting a little darker. We have been trying for 2 years and I mc last May at 6 weeks. I was going to see a fertility specialist this month. I sure hope this one sticks. I've been an emotional mess. Also, I was cramping for the last 3 days and today it's not as bad. I'm worried that's a bad thing.

The tests arent actually designed to show progression though, so try to let it go. The slightest of changes can affect how dark/light the lines are. For me I didn't notice a change from day to day tests, but noticed a difference between like 3 days apart. Symptoms come and go, it's normal. The same will happen with pretty much all of your symptoms. Some days there, others not so much. I totally understand the fear, mc makes pregnancy so much harder. Just remember that you're doing all you can, and it's out of your control. Take it one day at a time. Today you are pregnant

Don't sweat it too much over the colours of the lines Hun, it can take 72 hours for hcg to double early on and the tests aren't designed to show progression necessarily. Try not to worry too much :hugs:

I hate the curved handle frer!!!! I didn't see progression on those either. I got the frer rapid results and got much better progression!! Try a different test! Congrats on the bfp!

My lines never got that dark when I had a chemical last April, know it's easier said than done but try to relax. What will be will be regardless of stressing.

Line at 14 dpo with fmu looks exactly like the line at 10 dpo. I'm pretty sure this is going to end poorly:cry: beta is today and I'm praying for a miracle.

See...

Oh, hon. Try not to stress, until you have a reason to really stress. My beta at 12/13 dpo this time was actually 48 or 49, and by 15 dpo, it was nearly 170. I absolutely despise those curved handle FRER's. They do NOT show progression, and I find they have very poor dye saturation. Those tests didn't get really dark for me, until I was at least 17-20 dpo. If you're not bleeding with cramping, and your hcg continues to double every 48 hours or so, I would ignore the FRER line darkness thing. Perhaps put the tests down, and wait a week or so (I know, I know...that's easier said than done)...but surely you'll have your hcg progression sooner, and that's a far better indication of how things are going.

My lines faded fast with my chemical as in one faint positive then the next day spotting and the line was gone. Depending in the quality of the tests and how soon you are testing id say not to worry. Unless you bleed theres hope and ic tests stayed faint for ages when i found out i was pregnant yet first response was strong xx

These are all first response tests.

Note that most of the ladies here are telling you that First response (frer) tests are TERRIBLE for progression. As in most of these ladies were not able to see progression on that brand of test. :hugs: HPTS cant tell you if your HCG is progressing. They aren't made for that. Keeping my fx for your beta today!

My first response tests were the best. Im
In the uk and used the 45 second tests.

Ive had chemicals and the lines fade so quickly you cant see it and you begin to spot and bleed bery quickly. Until you bleed and have no line whatsoever you are pregnant.

I just called the doctors office and they said they can't release information until tomorrow. That's when the doctor will be in next to review it. Ugh... this sucks. I feel so anxious :(

So sorry you're stuck waiting:hugs: keeping my fx for you hon!
